Had just an awful experience! I took my car in because there was an oil leak, paid almost $1,000 to fix it. They call me about an hour before they close saying its done to come pick it up. When I get there they tell me they werent actually finished, but that what they have left will take longer than they have until closing so they wont do it today (if they had just started it when they called instead of when I got there they would have had enough time for what they quoted me). But then they tell me its just resetting the computer system to turn off the alarm lights for what they fixed, that it has nothing to do with driving and it should drive fine, so that if I want to take it I can and bring it back to reset when I have a chance. To me this sounds perfect. I get it home and one block away from my apartment the next day and it stalls out and wont restart. I have it towed there and bring them the keys first thing when they open, assuming its going to take an hour, since this is what they told me before. 6 hours later I call for an update because I havent heard anything. The person who answers starts yelling at me saying nothing has changed since I last called a few minutes ago (well I hadnt called and neither had anyone else I know checking on the car). I finally get a call 1 hour before they close saying its fixed they just want to take it for a test drive to make sure it doesnt happen again. Perfect they can test drive it now and by the time I get there just before closing it will be ready...no. The guy there doesnt want to deal with the traffic at this time so he will just do it in the morning. When I tell him I need my car he doesnt seem bothered by it and starts yelling at me for complaining. This is now the second time Ive been yelled at for nothing. I then call the manager, who is super nice, and he promises that if he has to he will test drive it himself and make sure I get it the next day. Even to the point if I cant leave work before they close he will have it driven to where I work. Well this all sounded great, but the next day when I went to pick it up the trip odometer had less than 10 miles on it. Which means the 45-60 minute test drive he wanted to do never happened and the car wreaked of cigarettes. So I couldnt pick my car up the day before and was ubering everywhere I needed, including to and from work, for something they told me had to be done they never did. This was the worst experience with a car or service I have ever had!

Ive been going to this Midas since January of this year. At first it was just for oil changes, but now, my car of 10 years and 120k miles is finally crying out for some MAJOR brake and suspension work. Its a frustrating experience - seeing your car falling apart and trying to gauge whether its time to call it quits and get a new one. But since my care is a Toyota Corolla, Im confident it will make it for at least another 50k miles on these mean Miami roads if I just breathe a bit more life into it. And this Midas has worked with me to keep my costs reasonable relative to a dealership refresh for such an old car. One of the main reasons that I keep coming back here is the Service Manager, Pierre. Pierre is great at diagnosing problems in the car based on issues I hear or feel while driving. More importantly, he has taken it upon himself to know and remember my car and myself. I dont feel like just another customer. Its almost as if he is a personal advisor - recommending work that is critical to my wifes and my safety on our 45min commute and advising where I may be able to wait a bit on other work. This makes me feel comfortable in the decisions that I make on keeping my car safe while keeping the amount of money that I put into the car within reason. When Pierre is not around, the mechanics and attendants that help me out are also friendly and professional. Ill be coming to this location and recommending it to others for a while as long as they keep up this great service and great work.

The air conditioning of my 2005 Acura TL stopped blowing. They tried to scam me. They told me that is because a bad blower motor resistor. They need to replace a new resistor and blower motor. I asked them if it is a bad resistor why they will need to replace a new blower motor. They told me it is because resistor and blower motor are stick together. They also told me they will need to change the cabin filter and recharge the air conditioning due to the refrigerant leaking. They want 600 to fix everything (this including 2 pounds refrigerant, but according to the manual, my car only need one pound refrigerant). 600 to fix everything is way too much. Therefore, I didnt fix my car in their store. I only pay 29.37 for diagnostics. I fixed my car by myself recently. The truth is the wiring connector from the blower motor to the blower resistor was loose. I fixed it by myself. All I need to do is to plug it in. Thats it. It took me 10 sec and cost me nothing to fix it. That means the blower motor, blower motor resistor, and cabin fitter are good, and the refrigerant is not leaking. The reason they told me that the refrigerant is leaking is because they drain it on purpose. They were just trying to scam me. I will never ever take any of my car to their store!!

i went there multiple times because it was close from home, but the last experience was just too much. 10 years ago there was manni, really cool guy, the place was more than ok. now people working here are rude, the price depends on your face. example: i came to change the sawy for my classic car, they asked 650 dol plus tax, i ask how much with taxe then, 800 dol!!! WTF, i thought the tax was 7% in dade county!! 2 weeks ago, one of my light wasnt working in low beam, but was working in high beam. i came and ask for an estimate to repair what i thought was a short circuit in the lights. they tested the cables and since everything was ok they conclude that i just had to change the light. damn 45 seconds and they just wanna change the light, i asked how much: 75 dol!!!! i went to auto parts: 14 dol for the light. came back to midas, told them, they didnt care and didnt wanna negociate so i went to take back my car, they asked for 30 dol for the check up!!!!! i had to call the cops. they asked me to never come back, well dont worry, i wont!

I went in to the 2nd ave/ NE 21st st location for an oil change with a $19.99 coupon. I was skeptical because I have a luxury SUV and have been given surcharges at other places before. They honored the coupon and didnt even charge me for the extra oil that SUVs need. I have a baby, and didnt know how long he could last waiting there with me, so I booked an appointment and hoped for the best. The receptionist was very friendly, and they finished in less than 30 minutes! The waiting area had a tv, some toys and cold air conditioning. The staff was very friendly, and they happily changed out my license plates for me. So helpful for a busy mom (with no tools or auto parts experience) with a temperamental 7 month old. And confused by the bad reviews... Ill be back for new tires soon. And an oil change when its time.
