This place is an absolute rip off and a prime example of a garage that will take advantage of unsuspecting customers. Im truly appalled by the ethics at this business, and I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau following this review. In short, I went in to get my AC fixed and was told I needed a new condenser to get it going, $700+ later I was informed that I would need a new compressor for roughly an additional $800 and then my AC might start working again (...but no guarantee...) I passed on the compressor because it was an unexpected cost and not financially feasible at that point in time. Several months later I returned to the shop because my brake light came on (however my brakes felt fine and totally normal), hoping my car just needed to be serviced, I was informed that that there was a leak that had saturated my brake pads and corroded the drums and that it was only a matter of time before my brakes gave out- I paid nearly $70 for this "diagnosis" with a quote for another $700 to get it fixed- they added brake fluid- the light went off- but I was informed that it would soon come back on given the severity of the problem... From there, I took it to a friends family mechanic in Kendall and was informed that 1) my brakes were in perfect condition and that the only reason my brake light came on was because I needed more brake fluid- since they topped it off Ive had no issues with my brakes. AND 2) that the mechanic(s) at Biscayne Tire & Auto never even took a look at my brakes because apparently in order to check out the drums you need to take apart the brakes and if you do that, then there would be evidence/markings that would be present and that my brakes were completely void of this. AC related, I was told that the condenser probably didnt need to be changed, but that I certainly didnt need a new compressor and that my AC could be fixed for $200 (and it was fixed for that price- no contingencies/ strings attached). The point is, avoid this garage, they truly dont deserve your business, they dont even deserve to be IN business.

I would avoid this place for any tire work. I was trying to save $20 per tire by going here and avoiding the higher dealer rates, but I ended up getting what I paid for. I took my vehicle here for them to mount four brand new tires that I provided myself and after waiting for over 2 and 1/2 hrs I found that they had scratched up each and every one of my 18" wheels. Once I brought it to their attention they only discounted me $3 per tire. Now I have to spend $$ to refinish/retouch each rim. The owner said that it was typical for the wheels to get scratch, but it never happened the four times I had tires replace by the dealer. Now that the car was out of warranty I was trying to save and it ended up costing me more. The worst was hearing the owner trying to convince me that it wasnt a big deal and that it was typical that the wheels get scratched up during this process, especially since my wheels were high performance black-painted 18" wheels with ultra-high performance tires. He said that he couldnt discount more than $3 since they had to spend over 2hrs. removing the run flat tires where were "a pain to work" with according to them. As if I should be made to pay for their guys not being able to remove them efficiently and then scratching up every one of my rims? AVOID THIS PLACE...there are plenty of other options.

ALWAYS COMPARE PRICES!!! I changed the rack and pinion for 600 dollars, and months later I found out the steering power fluid was leaking. I went there since I had a 1 year warranty, and - after I had to show the receipt - they agreed to check my car and said the problem was a rose... and Id have to spend another 400 dollars... I went to a second opinion and was able to fix the problem with 40 dollars! The new mechanic said that when they fixed the rack and pinion they didnt have the right tool, and the rose was kind of loose... So instead of fixing what the did wrong they would charge me an extra 400... Thats typical... Also, I had a noise on the right wheel when I turned and they said it was a CV joint and that it was "really bad" as they always say... I changed it and the noise was still there... So I found out the TIRE WAS BAD! Wow and the place is specialized in tires, Id say, according to the name... So they are either dishonest or incompetent... Either way I will never ever go back! ... and of course, Im still paying for this big mistake in my credit card. Messing up with pples money brings bad karma!!!

i brought my car for a leaking radiator hose. i always check on the price of the parts before and i knew a radiator hose cost around 12 bucks. they said i had to change 2 of them, well, why not, how expensive could it be, well with them its not always simple, not only they had to change the hoses but also they found problems where there was none. total price 1400 dollars!!!!! i told them no way i spend that. so they say ok 2 hose is gonna be 400 dollars. i kept complaining and o told them i was gonna go somewhere else. the reduced the price to 200 bucks. well, i was ok with that. but 200 dol was without invoice or any kind of waranty also, after checking with midas and another garage, i would have paid less than 100 bucks for that work. i gave the other garage the estimate they gave me for 1400 dollars, they said if this work was to do, they could do it for 500 dollars no more! but after checking, they said there was nothing wrong! AVOID THIS PLACE!!!! they are crooks!

Was in Miami 3 weeks ago. Drove down from Tampa and while there my Transmission blew. Took it to Biscayne and got rental car back to Tampa that weekend. Next week they called and said it was the Transmission that needed to be fixed (5th gear had blown). Paid them roughly $1,800 to fix and came back down last weekend to pick up car. Drove car back to Tampa (while not 50 miles into my drive back, 5th gear blew AGAIN). Made it back to Tampa in 4th gear and contacted company. They said that IF I drove the car back down to Miami they would "look at it" and that it was under a warrenty. My reply was: 1. You want me to drive another 200+ miles in 4th gear only to the place I JUST PAID $1,800 to fix that broke after 2 hours. I have 0 confiedince in their abilites to fix the problem that they were paid to fix. Asked them to pay for shipping of the car back or refund on JUST THE LABOR or pay for a shop up here to fix and they said they wouldnt do that

Please heed my warning. I took my Volkswagen Jetta to this place to have a diagnostic done. They said it woul take 20 minutes. 2 and 1/2 hours later (no exaggeration!) they finished the diagnostic!! Kept making excuses about being too busy. The initial reason I brought it there was because my transmission was slipping. They told me the problem was a bad computer and that it would cost $1,400 to fix. I took it the Volkswagen dealership to get a second opinion where they told me the computer had NOTHING to do with it. Not only that, but before I took it there, I discovered my hood was no longer opening! I asked VW to see what was up and they said my hood latch was broken and that the hood wouldnt open. Was working perfectly before I took to Biscayne Tire and Auto!! VW said they could fix it but that it would cost $200. I called BT&A and they called me a liar and wouldnt help me. DO NOT GO THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
