I needed tires to drive to michigan for my nieces funeral, I told them my sisters tire blew out on the Florida turnpike causing her to lose control and both my niece and my friend died as a result. The owner knew my situation and said he had tires for me, when I got to the shop they immediately hoisted my car up and began to replace the tires. I was charged $269 for what I assumed was 2 new tires and 1 used tire. We began our trip but as soon as we reached south Carolina the entire car began shaking horribly, it felt like the tires were going to fall off the car. My daughter who survived the fatal accident began having panic attacks. I called them immediately and they insisted it was my engine and not their faulty tires. We were able to get to a discount tire in south Carolina and the mechanic there informed us that the tires sold to me at longlife automotive were not new, they were the wrong size and worse one had a bubble and it was completely unsafe for driving. And they had only replaced 2 tires, didnt even balance them yet I was charged for 3 tires.. when I returned from the funeral I picked up the bad tires to bring back to Miami to return them and get a refund. The owner refused to refund me or even apologize for putting mine and my childrens lives at risk. He sold me bad tires knowing my niece died from the same situation. This type of business practice is horrendous, putting childrens lives at risk to make a quick buck. . Save your life and go to a better shop, these guys will rip you off and endanger your life in the process.

Mitch the owner was very friendly and helpful. I called him today saying that I needed to get my radiator on my Honda Civic 1996 fixed. He said bring it on over and theyd take a look at it immediately which they did. I also asked him to take a look at the muffler as Id just moved down from NJ and it seemed to be making quite a bit of noise. He fixed the radiator and muffler and didnt charge me for the muffler which was unexpected and a nice surprise. While I was there, there was another customer who had been having troubles with her air conditioner and Mitch was trying to help her out as well. Shed recently brought in her PT Cruiser for a tune up and was now back about an air conditioner problem (unrelated to the tune up). Mitch felt bad for her as she didnt have much money and used her car for her livelihood, so he asked her to leave it with him and hed take a look at it and not charge her given shed been a longtime customer of his. Her friend came into the office and started yelling at Mitch asking very pointed and rude questions with a nasty attitude, I was in the office as well and was quite taken back by her anger and attitude, but I was very surprised and delighted to see Mitchs response which was respectful and clear, even though it wasnt what this woman was after (she wanted a fight!). He is very gracious and fair with his customers. I will definitely be bringing my cars back to him in the future even though it was about a twenty minute drive from where Im living. Thanks Mitch!

Longlife Auto Repair ! As a New Jerseyan and a frequent visitor to the Miami area driving a car to get there can take its toll on your vehicle brakes. I was concerned about my brakes so I brought it to the Lexus dealership in New Jersey . The service representative said, I would be able to drive my vehicle to Florida and of course he quoted me a price, which was astronomical, even with my Veterans discount. As a woman, I always feel the dealerships tend to overcharge women, because they believe they can scare us. So pathetic! Anyway, in February I drove down to Florida for the SOBEFEST in Miami. The day after I arrived, my car was making noise and the first thing I thought about was my brakes. As I couldn’t remember the repair shop I went to a few years ago, I went to Yelp and there it was, “Longlife Automotive!” I arrived in the morning and spoke to a gentleman named Mitch. He took my car to get it checked and when he came back, he said there was nothing wrong with my brakes and all I needed was an oil change. I was in shock!! In New Jersey they told me I needed brake repair and here all I needed was an oil change. Can you imagine how much money I saved? As I explained to Mitch that was even with a Veteran discount. Guess what, I showed Mitch my DD214, showing I served in the United States Army and he gave me a discount as well. It took me a while to write this review, maybe because I am headed to Miami in September. I didn’t forget about you Mitch and Thank you again for your honesty.

Mitch is really great at what he does. I can really appreciate the level of professionalism and honesty from this guy. If he continues to do business the way he does he will never have to pay a dime in advertising. My car broke down when I was running low on gas on my way to the gas station. I assumed that I had caused my fuel pump to fail. After contacting Mitch he arranged for a tow truck service to come pick me up at a discounted rate! After getting under the hood he discovered that the water pump/timing belt service I had recently done at a previous mechanic two weeks earlier had in fact not been done at all. Mitch saved all my parts and I got all my money back from the previous company! The repair took a little longer than I had anticipated but this was understandable since he had a lot of revision to do because of the previous mechanic. My car is running smoothly again and he was very honest about any upcoming services I should be ready for. Do what needs to be done and deal with problems when and if they arise. Keep up with your maintenance and you should be fine. Now that me and my bf know what sharks our other mechanics are, Mitchs honesty just earned him two new customers. If you are having car troubles this is the place to go!

I first came in contact with Mitch via Company referral. I came in as one of the perks available to me was free tire repair and I had a small leak I couldnt find. Mitch and his staff were able to quickly diagnose the leak and help me (sensor/valve stem). Also I felt a bit of a shudder in my rear wheels. They were quickly able to diagnose that my brakes were low and needed to be replaced, he quickly gave me a estimate, that was cheaper than most. Here I am back today ( a few weeks later) requesting the work be done. I had already been to a few places with "guaranteed low prices" but as usual the price magically went up 100$ or more. Mitch handled it for me on the original quote, which is cheaper than anyone else. Not only that, there was a problem with most getting the parts. Knowing I jeeded it done asap, he was able to quickly call around and make things happen that others couldnt. All very professionally and friendly. I will be recommending other drivers to come here as well. Both visits have been above and beyond what I have come to expect with Miami Mechanics. Thanks again Mitch!
