I’ll admit I am a bit anal and can over research stuff. So when I was about to spend $24K on a new roof I might have gone a bit overboard. I started by researching all the roofing companies in my area and made a list. I checked BBB, Angie’s Lists, and read other reviews. I short listed it down to 6 roofing companies. One company noted they were extremely busy and could not give me an estimate for several weeks. Another explained that I was just outside their area and they have enough work closer to their office (even though they were in the same county). I was now down to 4 companies to get quotes from. Array’s Roofing came in almost 25% higher than the next guy’s price. So I ruled them out. This left me with AUGUSTO ROOFING, THE ROOFING COMPANY, and TERRANCE MCKEEVER ROOFING. All three came highly recommend. All three were within 10% of each other. Next came the interviews. I met with all three of them and asked my dozens of questions. At the end of this exercise I could honestly say that all three would most likely do an excellent job. So how did we decide? It was their contract terms and the amount of money they wanted up front. We went with THE ROOFING COMPANY. They required a very small deposit up front. They would only require payment once they were 100% done. They also supplied me with a final lien waiver from the supplier before they asked me to pay them (very important). Chris (the Owner) dropped off a variety of samples and colors. Once we short listed our choices he gave us addresses of house that had the same color of shingle installed. This helped us select the right color. Once we finalized the color we set up an installation date (about 6 weeks out). Every Friday I got a phone call with a schedule update confirming that they were still on schedule. Once they started they used tarps on the ground to cover up the landscaping and catch all the debris that will come of the roof during this exercise. I walked the roof numerous times during the re-roof to confirm that all the materials that we agreed too were being used. I also wanted to review the quality of their work and confirm the nail pattern. All was good. The one lesson that I learned was that there are three primeary shingle manufacturers in the Florida area (Owens Corning, GAF, and Certainteed). They all have their marketing bling. They all have their pluses and minus. So we looked at them all and selected the best color for us. We also realized that the most important decision is the company that is installing them. A bad company can screw up the best shingles. If installed properly, any of the three manufacturers will last you 20+ years. Bottom line, we could not have been happier with our choice. Chris was incredibly patient with us and very comfortable to work with. I would highly recommend THE ROOFING COMPANY to friends and family. Chris came out on time to inspect the area that I was concerned about. After the inspection Chris gave me a very honest and detailed explanation of his findings. He explained that the part of the fascia board and roof is expensive to fix since the gutter and the pool cage are attached on that side. He said he did not see any signs of damage on the roof and suggested that we start by sealing around some screws that were holding the gutter to the fascia board. At this point, he felt the damage was cosmetic and did not feel is was necessary to make a costly repair. I appreciated his honesty and will definitely be using him for all of our future roofing needs.

Recently moved from Central Florida, had some roof issues on my new “older home I purchase in NPR, called several roof companies with the same old salesman pitch, on the road I saw a truck with “The Roofing Company” logo. I called,a professional response, setup up an appointment. Owner of company arrived on time, VERY professional and sincere for my needs, his price was better than his competitors, set up a job date. The roofer arrived on time and completed job,he was well prepared with years of experience and cared about his quality of work. All A-plus for this company...OVER THE TOP GOOD...highly recommend. Chris came out for a quote on a persistent leak on the false roof above my garage. I was expecting some shingle work was needed, he traced the problem to the J frame at the bottom of the stucco and some minor cracks. He repaired these free of charge and even included a new tube of sealant and some advice for repairing myself. Overall extremely satisfied and happy with the service. Would highly recommend this company for anyone experiencing a roofing problem. Thank you Chris!!

Its a good sign when the companys President meets with any potential customer. Being new to the area we called The Roofing Company to evaluate the condition of our roof and soffits . Chris thoroughly checked the roof finding some maintenance issues that need to be addressed. He took the time to instructed me what needed to be done and how do the work ourselves! He gave us samples of the proper material to use. Chris has experience, is very knowledgeable, honest and ethical.

The roofing company did my entire roof and it came out flawlessly. Chris and his team were all very professional and answered any questions or concerns we had. Chris helped us pick out a great shingle and a great color. They also dropped off samples so we could look at a few different ones. Overall They were very thorough and I would highly recommend them to anyone needing roof work. Entire roof or patching a leak they deffinetly know what they are doing.

I’m really sorry that I didnt choose these guys. Boy do I wish I would have. Chris at Pride roofing was the most professional person I spoke to out of anyone that came out or called me back. I ended up going with a friend of a friend instead to save some money and I definitely got what I paid for... what a nightmare. I know Ill be calling these guys to replace the rest of my roof when the time comes.

Do not even waste your time with this company. Waited two weeks for appointment just to have someone look at my roof and the estimator failed to show for appointment. I confirmed the appointment two times, once on the day of the appointment. No explanation call apologizing for the no show and waste of my time. Unacceptable. Reply from owner was appreciated. 10/5/15

Chris was able to find where my roof leak was coming from and provide an inexpensive repair without trying to sell me service I did not need.
