LIED TO, STOLEN FROM, VIOLATED, & TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF are the first words that come to mind when I think about my recent move with All My Sons Moving and Storage (“AMS”). I called AMS and was given information by one of their representatives regarding cost, time, and expectations when I was considering hiring AMS for a recent move. The man I spoke with told me everything I wanted to hear, so I decided to hire AMS based on the information I was given by AMS. AMS claims that their employees are trained professional movers, fully insured and capable of handling your move from start to finish. However, as soon as they get your credit card number and charge the deposit, everything changes. Hiring AMS was giant mistake and I will regret it forever. First, and possibly most important, MY 12 GAUGE SHOTGUN WAS STOLEN FROM MY HOME DURING THE MOVE. The shotgun and ammo were in a case that was in a closet which I specifically told the movers not to touch, nothing in that closet was to be moved. The movers also rummaged through other items in that closet. There was an unopened box of audio speakers that were removed from the shelf, and put back on another shelf. One of the speaker boxes was left open; however, I have never opened any of the speaker boxes. The speakers were not missing, but there is no question that they were messed with. The cost of the shotgun is not my main concern. My biggest problem with what happened is that someone with morals so low that they would steal from a customer’s home now has a loaded deadly weapon. I have filed a police report and followed all directions from the police. Against what I was promised and quoted, I was charged the 15% fuel charge, $52 packing fee, the total charge was more than double what it was supposed to be, and, a bunch of my belongings were broken and damaged. The move was supposed to be 9am-1pm, in reality, the movers did not get done until 5:30pm. Other items damaged: Broken coffee table (which they tried to hide it by putting in where I could not see it.) Cracked a teak chair; Dented my flat screen TV, Entrance table, Destroyed a hand carved wooden sculpture from my grandmother Also, broken legs on my: bar, dresser, buffet and entrance table. I was told that I would have 3 men, 1 truck, and estimated 3-4 hours to move. I received only 2 men who treated my personal belongings as if they were trash. The movers did not work efficiently as a team, understand how to properly pack a storage unit and were not capable of working without supervision. I had to help the movers all day long, so I missed an entire day of work. I only hired the movers so that I did not have to miss work, I would have moved my self. Twice, the movers held my stuff hostage on the truck saying they could not continue until I signed papers that were sprung on me at the last minute. First, they started loading furniture from my house, on to the truck, then presented me with papers and said I had to sign or they could not continue to work. Then before unloading at the storage facility, they refused to unload until I signed credit card authorizations. I was given 2 slips, 1 for $100 deposit; and 1 for $832. I authorized the deposit, so I signed that one but I refused to sign the second slip for $832 it was not what I agreed to, and my things had been damaged and broken by AMS. They charged me $832 even though I never signed the authorization they tried to force on me. When I called AMS to discuss the above issues, they claimed that I signed a document that authorized the $832 charge. That document was only signed in duress. AMS was holding my property hostage in the truck. If AMS already had authorization to charge me, why would they need to get my authorization again before they unload the truck? The management was terrible; they refused to acknowledge any wrong doing. They have not provided me with any update on my stolen shotgun for 2 weeks. I havent even received a call apologizing. I will never use AMS again. In my opinion AMS should not be allowed to remain in business.

If I could give it zero stars I would. I wish there was something more that I could do besides Write a review but hopefully the better business bureau will get involved eventually. Setting the date was so difficult the guy in charge is one rude nasty man without any tact or professionalism. When they didnt show up on our move date even with a deposit down he made it seem like our fault for not double confirming for a second time. I should have pulled out then, I had a sketchy feeling as the "rude one" told my boyfriend that I was complaining too much about them not being able to get there crew together for the day we both had requested off from work to move. What a joke! Sorry I didnt want to move on a day that we both needed to be at work by 1. Sorry your deposit doesnt come with any security that youll show up. Well while my boyfriend coxed the rude one into showing up the next day I crossed my fingers my initial interaction was not indicative of what was to come. The moving guys were the nicest but it almost seemed like they knew the guy was going to scam us at the end. At one point it seemed like they even wanted to warn us what was going to happen but that was just my gut feeling. Maybe they know this guy is a scammer. it almost seemed like they knew the guy was going to scam us at the end. At one point it seems like they even wanted to warn us what was going to happen but that was just my gut feeling. once everything was on the truck the moment they pulled up to our new place the rude one gets one of the guys to pull up our bill. Nothing had been taken off the truck yet they were not finished moving yet somehow had calculated a $1400 tab for moving a very small one bedroom with not very many things completely preposterous quote based on the figures they gave us my worst case scenario was that it would be $1000. At this point my boyfriend and I are both late to work nothing is in our apartment yet and this despicable man on the phone is yelling and threatening us if we dont pay him $1400 on the spot hes leaving with all of our stuff in his truck and theres nothing that we can do about it. Welcome to Miami the home of all the scam artist Im used to foul customer service, people not following through on what they say theyre going to do, and poor manners but out of all my experiences this has to be the worst. Do not use this company. They will rob you blind and when you question how they calculated bill theyll threatened to steal all your things. If this is a company that has a corporate office in texas like u advertise beware the man Jason running your Miami division is eventually going to get you in trouble. I was treated unethically and Im appalled at this mans behavior.

Very disappointed with these movers. Called for a quote. A week later they said they would honor the quote, but then they tacked on so many fees, that it nearly doubled the initial quote. Because of the short timeline, I went ahead and booked their service anyway. The movers were on time, so they get points there. However, the movers were extremely unprofessional. Here are a list of things that I personally had a problem with: • The amount of cursing in both English and Spanish by all 3 workers. We are not prudish people, but I dont need to hear your F-Bombs every 2 minutes while were already dealing with the stress of moving. It was not once or twice either. It was constantly used throughout the move. It also wasnt underneath their breath. It was loudly in our home, in the hallways of our condos and in the parking lot. • The movers deliberately took their time moving certain items, like the couch. I’m small and my husband is of average stature. When we purchased the couch, together we were able to bring the couch up one flight of stairs with no struggle and in less than 5 minutes. However the 3 grown, tall and seemingly fit men from All My Sons could not bring the couch down one flight of stairs without practicing their acting skills of struggling to carry it down. Also when arriving at the new residence it took an hour to bring the couch up a flight of stairs that had even more clearance than the previous residence! • The movers took smoke breaks after moving all the items into the truck and after arriving at the new residence before unloading the items. When confronted about this, both times we were told that they were waiting for a call back from headquarters. A call for what? Who knows? All I know is that it took over 40 minutes each time for this said call to come in and while waiting for it, they leisurely smoked cigarettes near our belongings in the truck. • We moved into to a two story residence. After the larger furniture items were put into place, one of the movers told us he was too tired to bring the boxes that belonged on the second floor upstairs. Really? You’re being paid to do that. • We moved from a one bedroom condo to a two bedroom, split level condo. We had no furniture for the second bedroom. So the movers only moved a one bedroom condo that was 650 square feet. The move from residence to residence was 1/3 of a mile. Our total time for this move including their drama presentation and smoke breaks was over 7 hours, closer to 8 hours. • The bill for this move was a little over $2100, 3X what I was quoted. I’d never recommend this company to anyone. Horrible. Absolutely Horrible.
