I decided to use Avant Garde Salon as my new salon, after doing extensive research on hair salons in the area. I am from New York originally, and have experienced the good, the bad and the ugly and wont just let anyone touch my hair. After my initial consultation with Nicole F. and my moms initial consultation with Jen, we knew we had found our new salon. BOTH Nicole and Jen listened to our concerns, answered our questions, while giving their expertise about our hair "situations". I was a VERY BRASSY, GOLD BLONDE, which I HATED and my mom was a multi-shaded brown base with DULL highlights, which she ALSO hated. After our first appointments, Jen had FIXED my moms base color and highlights and LITERALLY TRANSFORMED HER. Her base color and highlights blended beautifully and her highlights were now ALIVE (lol!) and the PERFECT shade. Nicole COMPLETELY got rid of my brassiness and turned my color I once hated so much into a color I NOW LOVED SO MUCH -- AND STILL DO! I was the PERFECT shade of blonde -- two shades darker than platinum with some low lights blended in, which is EXACTLY what I wanted. They are legit color and style masters in my eyes! When I called to make my initial consultation, I told the receptionist that I wanted somebody who was very experienced and who knew what she was doing. She told me that Jen trained Nicole and thats all I had to hear and I was sold! Jen is the owner and Nicole is legit her protege. Jen IS the mother hen and looks after ALL of her employees. She is also EXTREMELY personable, funny, beautiful on the inside and out, and can multitask like no other. Nicole is so sweet, kind, calm, and is a very good listener. She takes her time and focuses like no other, which I LOVE!!!!! EVERYONE there makes you feel like FAMILY and works together as a team, not to mention professional. The vibe from the moment you walk in is very relaxing, and your experience from start to finish is very enjoyable. Also, FIRST time customers get 20% off, and if youre thirsty theres always water and wine available to drink. The decor is absolutely BEAUTIFUL -- Jens husband designed the whole inside -- and all of the details you notice from the moment you walk in. DO NOT make the MISTAKE of going ANYWHERE else: THIS is the place to go. Their hair color is the only approved hair color under OSHA (I believe) and the quality of their hair products are top of the line. The best part of it all is their prices are very affordable, too!

Yesterday was my first time at Avant Garde Salon. I saw Nicole P for my hair and I asked for a icy blonde balayage with cool tones, I also provided a picture of what I exactly wanted my hair to look like. I told Nicole that I did not want ANY WARM colors & she supposedly understood that. My hair turned out completely horrible! While she was doing my hair she kept walking over to another stylist asking her what colors she should use on my hair. Nicole told me that I should do a color melt to bring my roots down to blend the balayage. I paid an extra $85 for the color melt & all that did to my hair was make my roots extremely dark with an auburn tint which is far from a cool light brown that I wanted. After she was done doing the balayage the bottom half of my hair did not look any different than how it looked when I came in. I called right after I left when my hair had dried to let Nicole P know I was unhappy with my new base color and the bottom half where she attempted the balayage was not any blonder or even ashy. It wasnt anything that I had asked for! The receptionist told me she going to let the owner know about the issue & give me a call back. I got a voice message from the receptionist (Melissa) saying she spoke with the owner (Jenn). I was told that being that they cannot predict what my hair is going to do they cant not fix or actually lighten the bottom of my hair but they can give me a free base color which will only make my roots darker & not achieve anything I wanted once again. I called back & spoke to the manager (Jessica) who once again told me the same thing that the receptionist had said and that Jenn the owner could take a look at it but I didnt want to waste more of my time to drive back down to the salon because I live about 25 mins from there & have her still not accomplish my desired results. What also influenced my decision on not going back to have Jenn "take a look" at my hair was a bad review on Yelp as well stating that Jenn tried to fix her hair but only made it worse and made her feel like it was her fault. This was a client who also had a balayage not turn out the way she wanted. It also irritates me that I spent $232 without tip & with a 20% discount for being a first time customer on something thats completely different than what I had wanted & looks horrendous. I will also be providing pictures of what I had asked for & showed her versus what I received.

Always went to this salon for my trims, and always came out great. Just recently had one one of the ladies color my hair Nicole f, and after a few days I was unhappy. I went back, still didnt fix it. After speaking with the owner. Its MY fault this happened. After been through hell with my hair. I get screwed in the end, they KEEP my money. I will never go back, after being a faithful client to them, and recommending friends and family to visit them. This place is ridiculous. And ladies if you have box color dont bother getting it colored because if it comes out bad. its your fault. Thats hilarious! After visiting another a salon Im very happy with my end result, and will be taking my business else where! I should have known not to come here after 2 of my stylist left all of sudden! none of their employees seem to stick around along enough. Good luck ladies! I guess they need my money badly!

Love the whole entire experience since the moment I walked in for my consultation with Nicole P. I have been to so many salons of all kinds and I have not been able to show the color I want and actually walk out of the salon looking like exactly how I wanted =) Nicole P was awesome, very professional and she definitely knows her colors and how to work with your hair. I didnt get the pleasure to work with anyone else but everyone there knows exactly what they are doing, the owner Jen is awesome and I loved how she runs her salon, how she is with all the clients and her staff. Nicole P. thank you so much! Everyone has been talking about my hair and asking where I did it. It was definitely my therapy and I cant wait for my next touch up!

After moving to Jupiter in October of 2016, I needed to find a new salon. I went to at least 4 different salons and was disappointed at each, before visiting Avant Garde. My experience was the best from start to finish. I was basically trying to find a salon that could (a) keep my hair healthy because I have baby fine hair that damages easily and (b) give me a professional and beautiful balayage. I found both with Nicole F. at AGS! They have excellent products including a bond builder that keeps my hair from breaking. I also got the best Keratin treatment ever that made my hair strong and healthy! Best of all I FINALLY got a gorgeous balayage that I see on celebrities on the red carpet. I highly recommend Avant Garde Salon!!!
