If you goal is to work with a proactive agent who stays on top of your housing needs, communicates proactively and follows up, this is not the office for you. It was one excuse after another. For example, on 12/30, I emailed a property to Saria who promised to go see it the following day. The next time I heard from her regarding the home was 1/2/14. Saria told me the listing agent wouldnt call her back...this is the same agent who was so amenable to presenting our offer to the seller a few days before. Interestingly enough, I called the same listing agent from a blocked number and he picked up the phone and talked to me. I dont know about you but I dont many people who answer call from restricted numbers these days. Does that sound like the behavior of a man who wont return calls? The week before, I asked Saria about a Homepath home and forwarded her the Homepath listing link to the home. Saria told me the house was a cash only sale. Why? Because the listing agent put it in the listing so, I asked her to call Homepath for greater clarification because that is not a stipulation that should have been put on the home because Fannie Mae doesnt do that; cash only is the latest craze in the S. Florida housing market. Saria told me she did speak to Homepath and she said they told her it was a cash only listing. The listing agent putting "cash only" on the listing is one thing, Saria not knowing the cash only stipulation was not accurate for Fannie Mae listings and relaying incorrect information is another. I called Homepath myself and ended up speaking to Julia, a supervisor at Fannie Mae, who confirmed that cash only listings ARE NOT done by Fannie Mae. Trust me the process of speaking to a supervisor over the holidays is no small feat. The basis of your relationship with your realtor is trust and clearly that was gone so I opted to take my concerns to the broker in charge, Laurie Reader, on 1/2/14 who said that she couldnt "weigh in" with her opinion until she spoke to Saria, who happens to be a member of her family. I also offered to forward over emails that demonstrated the lack of follow-up, highlighted several occasions where I brought properties to Sarias attention when I feel like it should have been the other way around because said properties fit the criteria we (Saria and I) discussed several times as well as emails that exemplified the pattern of over-promising and under-delivering. Laurie promised to call me back once she spoke to Saria to discuss how to move forward. The following day, I received a call from another agent within the office at the request of Laurie; however, I did not receive a call from Laurie as promised. So it appears that failure to follow-up flows from the top down. A team is only as strong as its leader and when the leader renders her word meaningless, you cant expect anything positive from the rest of the team. The real estate market moves so briskly in S.Florida; therefore, it is imperative you find a real estate office capable of demonstrating the sense of urgency required for you to be successful. In my opinion, this one definitely isnt it.

We did not choose the Laurie Finklestein Reader team because of bus or billboard ads, mailings, or any other forms of marketing. We came to Laurie Reader because one of her agents, Maryan Gallagher was an acquaintance of ours. We knew Maryan was intelligent, dynamic, and very knowledgeable & savvy about the local real estate market. Plus, Maryan actually lived in the neighborhood where we wanted to buy. Maryan and the team at Laurie Finklestein Reader helped us buy our new home and sell our former home. Although we actually knew the house we were interested in buying, Maryan did all the negotiations and guided us through the whole process. She recommended a great mortgage broker and assisted us in getting some needed documentation. Maryan went above and beyond the call of duty and helped whenever we asked. For example, when we needed access to the new house so we could interview vendors for our renovation, she or someone from her team would stay at the house for hours. Maryan was also a tremendous help in getting our former house sold. She gave us expert advice on the minimum updates we needed to do to sell our house quickly at market price. She also did all the research and showed us the comps. The LFR team had professional pictures taken of the home, conducted open houses, did digital marketing, e-mail blasts, and showed the house as many times as it took! Voila! We had several offers and a signed offer in four days! Unfortunately, the first deal fell through (no fault of LFR) so our house had to be put on the market again and we had a signed contract in four days once more! This time the deal and closing went smoothly. After buying a home and selling a home, I realize all of the pitfalls that can happen at both ends. Not having a good representation can be very costly. I highly recommend getting a good realtor. With Laurie Finklestein Reader, you not only get a great realtor but an entire experienced team working for you. If you are even considering buying or selling a home, I would highly recommend, Maryan Gallagher, Cynthia Kulonda, and the entire LFR team!

This is an honest review from me. Im saying this because I only do reviews when Im really higly satisfied to a service which I paid for. At the end of the day, they got rewarded for their job but when people give you more than what you asked for, protect you against bad practices from other realtors or landlords, you need to thank them and lead other people to them. This is the kind of person everyone desire to work with. Gina Lueck is a very knowledgeable realtor in the South Florida metropolis and its surroundings. Gina explained the whole mortgage process to us, she was always a phone call or text message away from our numerous sensitive questions. Sometimes, it became very stressful and emotional for us due to the extensive nature of the mortgage process but Gina will always sit us down, console us and help us jump that hurdle. It was an emotional journey between us. Actually, it was Gina who lead me to the loan company that could satisfy my needs. She bargained on our house to get a better price since the house was priced over the market value and the owner was not willing to come down. Gina spent over an hour educating the seller to come to reality. If Gina hasnt stepped in, this deal would have fallen through the cracks just like it happened to previous buyers. Gina has become "family member" since we closed on our home. It took 28 days to close on our home once she found us our ideal home. If you looking for a reliable and trust worthy realtor in this metro area, someone who will fight to get the best deal for you and not ONLY think about their stomach (commissions), someone you can talk to anytime of day (24/7 Mon - Sun), then Gina is the person to deal with. I will always refer my friends, my family and anyone reading this to do business with this wonderful lady who with good heart. Gina we love you for making our dreams come true. Be blessed
