This location is one of the best Planet Fitness Ive been to; and Ive been to several across the United States. The facility is clean, and temperature comfortable. Plenty of available resistance machines, including, my favorite, Hammer Strength MTS Selectorized weight machines. My only complaint; and it isnt the fault of PF, is that many members lack gym etiquette by resting on the machines after completing a set. I see men and women sitting there texting and browsing social media on their phones, or just simply resting on a machine for as much as 3-4 minutes... Gym etiquette isnt just about wiping down the equipment; its also about getting up from the machine while you rest so that another member can use it for 1-2 minutes while youre resting. What PF can do to remedy this is to literally market courtesy or Gym etiquette in persuasive yet non-intrusive ways (posted signs and placards maybe). Theres no reason any member should hold a piece of equipment "hostage" while resting or texting or browsing social media on their phones. Some of us are here to workout! All things considered, I stick to my 5 Star Rating. PS: Overstock the Muscle Milk ;)

GM steve hobbs and manger james make fake reviews . now they are up to 71. the people that make reviews are fake and made up by gm steve hobbs at work while he is doing nothing in his office. The bathrooms are always dirty and the trainers arent certified. Tell them that gm steve hobbs. googles own guidelines say for workers not to post. clean it up google and owner fake reviews dont help you. Gm steve hobbs made 3 more fake reviews how great his trainers classes are he fails to say Vicent the great trainer isnt certified. Ask Gm steve hobbs to prove he is.Show hes state license Gm steve hobbs.. you cant all trainers at planet fitness are fake dont be fooled. Gm Steve hobbs will be in his office reading this and post more fake reviews.. (update oct 27 2016 ) gm steve hobbs up to more fake reviews now at 79 lol hey steve tell them you sit in office and make up fake reviews all day your not getting a pay raise lol. gm steve hobbs has a busted car because he gets paid nothing and trying to get a pay raise with fake reviews. victor onwer and google enforce google owns guidlines gm steve hobbs should be fired

Ive been to every PF in the area and this is hands-down the biggest and best one. Even during peak hours in the evening its roomy and spacious enough to not feel overly crowded and still have free machines or weights. The cardio machines are plentiful especially the treadmills which Ive never seen used to capacity. The black card member area is also really great here If you need to relax. The staff is very friendly and upkeep seems to be a priority as the floors and bathrooms are clean and paper towels and cleaning solution always available. The wifi is absolutley solid. Im able to watch TV or listen to music on my tablet or phone while doing cardio without a hiccup. Theres also several TVs with 14 different channels on. All in all Ive had nothing but a good experience here for more than a year now and my workouts are quite productive when I feel comfortable with my surroundings. Im happy I chose this as my home gym. Keep it up!

Fake reviews done by gm, Steve manger James and other workers. Googles own comment posting policy says dont post fake reviews intended to boost ratings. Google also stated conflict of interest... reviews are most valuable when they are honest and unbiased. If you own or work at a place, dont review your own business or employer. These policies are right on Google so I dont understand why they arent followed by planet fitness. Gm Steve Hobbs and manager James as well as other workers who posted in their real names. I cant decide what to mention first, the spotless clean changing room, friendly desk folks who check you in, the wide variety of equipment that is clean and in good repair or the fact they are open 24x7 so you can work out on your schedule. When I joined, I was given a sheet showing their busiest times so I could plan my visits accordingly. I never had any problem getting access to the equipment I wanted. They have lots of programs to help you if thats what youre looking for. All shapes, sizes and ages of folks are there. No one thinks anything about it. All are friendly and courteous. I am here temporarily for training. Im going to miss this place when I go home. I hope theres one on my town.

I hated working out until I walked through these doors. The staff is friendly and they really do everything to make sure that the place is not an intimidating place to go for a great workout. From the endless machines and tvs to zone out if you dont want music to the Black Card experience with all the wonderful massages! That right there is what keeps my motivation to go. I get an awesome massage in the hydrotherapy beds or the massage chair after a good workout. I am turning into a gym rat and loving it. I even get a huge sense of accomplishment when the staff says hi, my name and congratulates me on being there often. Thank you Pompano Beach location! Having a blast with you guys!

Horrible. Steven Hobbs, the general manager, told me that male employees go into the womens changing room "100s of times a day". I said that was creepy. So he nastily canceled my membership. Both Steven and Manager, James, thought have female attendants go in was laughable. Very sexist. Very disrespectful. Shameful. At least tell women before joining that men basically NEVER leave the womens changing room. Many women would simply join a different gym. There actions, attitude and behavior are completely devoid of character, respect and integrity.

As soon as I walked in the door I noticed there was garbage on a table and the floors were also dirty with garbage. I was not acknowledged and had to scan my own black card. The locker area and ladies room was dirty the carpet looked as if it had never been vaccumnned. I am proud to say my home location is coconut creek and highly recommend everyone visit. Any time of day it is spotless and I am greeted with good morning afternoon evening and a smile on my way out Im told have a nice day evening night whichever is appropriate at the time.

I ave never appreciated my gym experience as much as I do now since I have been going to Planet Fitness on Powerline Rd in Pompano. I have been a gym rat for many years both here and in RI, so I can definitely do some comparing when it comes to gyms. The staff and especially the manager, Steve, make it a fun experience every time I am there. I would be remiss not to mention that they keep the facility spotless. To me that is one of the most important issues when it comes to using a public gym. I am not a germaphobe, but I do like clean.
