First off, I was completely sold on the "FREE INSPECTION". From the moment I walked in I did not know about it until it was brought to my attention. I was just going to get another opinion on a matter I had already came to a conclusion and wanted a professional opinion before I made my next move. So pleased with how the start of this was I had already told my friends about how great this was going to turn out. "Oh. A free INSPECTION? Since thats free that will save me at least $100 from the other places." Yeah not so much. I dropped my vehicle off on a Monday and had not heard one word from the same enthusiastic mechanic who took my keys with a smile and a voice of confidence reassuring me that my car would be back on the road in no time. Here comes Saturday, I get a call from the mechanic stating that I would have to buy something to complete the "FREE INSPECTION", thats not the problem. I was already prepared to spend over $600 for the repair because of what I had already assumed what the issue was. The problem is that the mechanic knew about this on Tuesday. If he had called me I would have gave him the go ahead and would not have been out of my car for days. DAYS of an INSPECTION. NOT A REPAIR AN INSPECTION. NO he wasnt waiting for parts nor was he even starting on what I even thought the issue was. I was told "We ran the test 2 time and thats 20 mins that I have my mechanics looking at your car for free I am out almost $200." This is how you treat customers that may be spending an entire pay check to fix any issue because their car is their way to get back and forth to work. 5 days waiting on an estimate that take 20 mins huh? well I will be a monkeys uncle. SO with this FREE INSPECTION" I was out over $100 and 5 plus days with out my car. Yeah that not that much money for people who charge you $230 on putting in a radiator and thats just LABOR not how they hit you over the head with the actual cost of the radiator. But this is what you expect with mechanics. This is why you have DIY projects. What I lost that week was 12 hours of work for 20 min inspect that could have been resolved in a matter of 20 mins. Well thank you. I did as you asked left a review came home made an account JUST FOR YOU.

I took my 2003 Toyota Corolla with 60000 miles on it to Aamco, they assured me they could find my problem! My car would not start even with jumping it! Had starter & alternator tested at auto zone with them both passing we could not figure out the problem, I even replaced the battery, it was also acting like the transmission was slipping, so after Aamco having my car from open to close on a Friday no contact was made by them so I contacted them at 5:15 they said I needed a new alternator & they needed to keep my car till Monday so they could tear my engine a part! So I contacted my son that works on cars & he contacted them this morning upon opening & told them not to tear my engine a part & we were picking the car up! So now out 2 tow bills took it to Toyota dealership ship! Within 30 minutes of arriving they had found the problem, my starter was bad & alternator was just fine & a wire that went to my transmission needed to be tightened! After about 3 hours I had my car back & it runs great! Thank you Toyota! Great service & very friendly, even gave me a free car wash & vacuum my car before leaving! This needed it after someone at Aamco smoked in my car! I allow NO SMOKING IN MY CAR! So before you walk in run like hell they see $$$$ when a woman walks in! Rip offs!! Response to owner: The only way I can see you helping is to pay for my tow bill, I had it towed to your shop in hopes you could repair my car! So if you want to turn my experience around pay for my tow! I would of never had this tow bill if you had fixed my car! Response to owner! I seen the tow driver load my car & deliver my car in both occasions & noticed it had been smoked in as it came off the tow truck so that leaves your place! You were the one that told me that the engine needed to be tore a part! You were also 100% wrong with what was wrong with my car! You seen $$$$$$$ my dad warned me of places like you growing up! Glad I listened! YOUR PLACE IS THE BIGGEST RIP OFF & WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND YOU TO ANYONE! PRAY EVERYONE READS THIS REVIEW BEFORE TAKING THEIR VEHICLE TO YOUR SHOP! REVIEW IS STAYING!!!!!!

As a business owner myself, I know how important it is to work with like-minded professionals. And, as everyone knows, there are certain industries that have some shady dealings. So, I went to AAMCO to get some significant work done on my work vehicle - engine, transmission and some lighting. I was expecting to get the run around and receive a several page quote filled with services that I truly did not need. I met with Jeff Murphy and went over the vehicle and their suggested repairs. Since this was not my first rodeo, I was expecting to hear things that I didnt hear. I was surprised and pleased. Jeff took me through all their suggested repairs and showed me why the repairs were needed and also told me what the results would be to my vehicle once the repairs were complete. I knew that it was not going to be cheap, but it is cheaper than purchasing another work truck. Even though the quote was a pretty penny, the price was more than fair. I shock Jeffs hand and had a gentlemens agreement that the vehicle would be handled and that I would receive it back completed in five business days - understanding the amount of work that was required. I could not be without my vehicle any longer than that. Even though there were several vehicles currently in the shop, Jeff agreed to my deadline because he knew that was what I had to have happen. When I returned, I paid for my services. I met with Jeff and he showed me my old parts and told me that he personally drove it to make sure that everything was working perfectly. I truly appreciate the personal attention that I was given and for all of the work that needed to be done being done in such a timely manner. Even though the shop is not near my home or business, I will continue using the services of AAMCO in Sanford, Florida, and highly suggest that you do as well. There are too many "Sayers" when this group is filled with "Doers." I highly recommend this team of professionals!

Do NOT trust them!! Brought my truck in for 2 issues they said they needed to rebuild the tranny (just under 2k). They did the work SAME problems. Then they said it was my rear end plus the computer needed an update (why didnt they say that in the 1st place). Also when I got my truck back it was leaking tranny fluid ( never leaked before). Brought it back, said the pan was dented and if I bought a new one they would install for free. So I brought it to another Aamco to see what they would say about the leak (did NOT tell them anything. Just said I think its leaking. They (different Aamco) said it was the wrong gasket! So I called corporate they got the 1st shop (Sanford) replaced the gasket. About 2 weeks later leak again. I got up under the truck and the bolts were loose, no leaks for almost 15 months only to find out they used some kind of silicone that broke down after time and heat (this was told to me by another Aamco off 436. Went back to shop in Sanford, they said it was out of warranty so I called corporate, same thing!! Kyle Warren that works there is an ass and ALWAYS has an excuse. DONT TRUST the one in Sanford or rely on Aamco corporate to back you up. I replace the gasket myself with one from dodge, Leak fixed. I changed the fluid in the Transfer case, noise gone and had the computer reflashed, shifts correctly now. I DIDNT need a rebuild and spend 2k!! This is the 1st review I have ever done but needed to be said.
