1.5 years ago I bought a very low mileage BMW from a dealer. It had idling issues from day one. At low speeds the engine would surge up in RPM’s, or drop real low to the point of stall. The dealer tried to convince me this was normal. Reluctantly they brought it into their shop under warranty. On three different occasions they put parts on the car without actually fixing it. Then the dealer told me they were no longer going to fix it for free, that if I wanted any more parts installed, I would have to pay for it myself. I wanted a smooth running engine result which was never delivered from the parts they installed. I pushed that was not fixed. They agreed to split future bills with me and went back to putting more parts on. $1,800 later, supposedly half of the bill, the car ran the same. So I took it to 3 other mechanics who read the codes, each of them told me of a different problem. 3 mechanics claiming 3 different problems. The claimed repairs stemmed from $800-$3,500 depending on which was speaking. Time for me to quit wasting time on normal mechanics and find a expert. Experts are expensive. I begin researching for a expert mechanic. I read all the reviews and only one garage stood out from the rest. Tim @ AA foreign car repair. Now I found my expert I expected to be very expensive, but anything less than the best, would be a waste. I go to his shop. He explains to me the hourly diagnosis fee. And then an actual repair fee on top of that. But the question is how much$? At 8:30 AM I drop the car off. At 10:30 he calls saying he found the problem. He says he will call later and tell me when I should expect the repair to be completed. At 11:30 he calls me and tells me I can come pick the car up at 12:30. At 12:30 I pay the bill of $333, take the car and begin driving it. Within 2 minutes I could tell the car was perfect. Problem? One simple little gasket that no one else suspected. I think about the nightmares I went through. I think about the time my car was in and out of shops. (About a dozen.) I think of the money I poured into repairs and never got the problem fixed. And now within 24 hours of meeting Tim, my car is finally fixed. FINALLY the nightmare has ended. Tim could have charged me more, but then I would have been inclined to price shop in the future on normal repairs. Tim didn’t charge me more. Tim did however capture my loyalty so as no other garage will ever work on my BMW, except Tim’s garage, AA foreign Car Repair. A little bit about Tim. Being the expert, he doesn’t have time to listen to us customers babble. Right, wrong, or indifferent, he will tell you his take on things even if it’s not what you wanted to hear. He was polite but straight forward. When he thought I was babbling incoherently, he cut me off and made me listen to his take. He didn’t have time to listen to me babble. But he did have time to diagnose it accurately, fix it quickly, to be honest and give me a super fair bill. However he did NOT have time for bullshit. Tim is an honest expert earning a meager living. As such don’t expect to be treated like a king or queen. He doesn’t charge you enough to treat you that way. His shop is meticulously clean and neat, almost to the point of being anal. I liked it. The sign of somebody who is on top of his game. It’s not fancy. It’s not expensive. It’s perfectly the way I wanted it. Pure power to fix anything foreign. Just plain enough to be a real bargain. REMEMBER this part? …… So I took it to three other mechanics who each told me it had a different problem. Three mechanics claiming three different problems. Hhhmmm. The supposed repairs it needed stemmed from $800-$3,500 depending on which of them I was listening to. The repair that Tim did to fix it was not either of the supposed problems any of those three claimed it was. I tip my hat to you Tim. Job well done. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Your newest loyal customer. Warning, long winded review ahead. Let me preface this review with a little about me. I am an avid car enthusiast and prefer to service my own vehicles. I take great pride in my car and am weary of trusting shops to perform a job that might not meet my expectations. Ive had the pleasure of getting to know Tim and his staff over the past few years, regularly visiting to service computer equipment. I hear how he treats his customers and have seen first hand the quality and attention to detail that goes into the cars they service. Tim is the type of guy that will give you the shirt off his back if he thought itd do you any good. That being said, it wasnt until recently that I had any service performed on my car by AA Foreign. The clutch on my 2008 Nissan 350Z went out without warning. I didnt have the time, tools, or expertise to perform the job myself. I knew leaving my car with Tim it would be in good hands. I was initially quoted a few day turnaround, which is completely acceptable for a job like this. To my delight, I get a call the next day telling me my car is ready to be picked up! Back goes the boring (but admirable) Corolla to the rental car agency! I arrive to pick my car up, Tim shows me the old parts that were taken off and explains the failure, and I inspect my car. The job was done 100% to my satisfaction and even improved upon a factory oversight. Good lookin out! Ive been having a great time enjoying my new performance clutch and flywheel the last 4000 miles. I just got my car back today after a full brake service. Pads, rotors, brake lines, and new fluid. Impeccable service. Just as I expected. These guys are the real deal. You get (better than) dealership level service at a fraction of the price, (and downtime- in my experience). I frequent a lot of automotive forums and this is the type of shop people will drive miles out of the way for the peace of mind. I could not give any higher praise to AA Foreign Car, they go above and beyond the competition and know they will take the same amount of pride in their service whether you drive a Civic or a Porsche. Thanks guys.

Not too long ago i had to had my Mercedes diagnosed for some electrical issues. i heard good things about AA so i decided to go to them. as i arrived, i was greeted by the friendly staff and directed to the office, once in the office, i spoke to a gentleman who i assume is the owner (based on his cockiness) as i attempted to explain to him the issues with my car, i was cut off by him several times (so he could "correct" me on what i was talking about), therefore not allowing me to thoroughly explain my issues. after i explained my issues to him, he began to sternly explain to me that if my warranty company wouldnt cooperate with him, that he would not continue with my repair and i would have to cover the balance out of pocket. i agreed and came in the next day to get my car, he explained to me (very rudely, once again) that the warranty company did not cover anything except a cylinder coil. even though my warranty company said all of the listed issues are covered. according to my warranty company, he failed to correctly explain ANY of the information to them. this fiasco resulted in me being forced to pay over $300 out of pocket for simple diagnostic services that would have been covered should he have handled the situation more professionally plus $100 for my warranty deductable on the coil that was covered. that price would have been more, but he rudely told me "im going to be nice and carge you for only 3 hours of service and labour" after showing hesitation from the bill he presented me. he quoted me $3000 to repair a broken ABS/ESP module 1 week later, my egine light is back on. I recently visited BRUMOS MB, who has fixed the issue by simply replacing my battery. 50% of owning a business is customer service. its obvious that the positive feedback on this business has gone to this mans head and he assumes he can treat any customer the way he wants and will still retain his clientel. i will never return.
