Sorry this took me so long to write but it has taken me over a month to get my emotions together. A few friends flew down with me from Pittsburgh to South Seas Resort in Captiva for my Bachelorette party. We chose Island Taxi to pick us up from the airport. A woman in her early 60s picked us up an was extremely unfriendly, she did not even help some of us with navigating around the van as some of us our visually blind and require adaptive equipment . We planned to pay in credit card sowhen she asked for the numbers WHILE she was driving, I asked if she could wait until we got to the resort (which would have been a lot easier for me). The woman seemed very irritated at my response and mumbled something under her breath. Id say we were probably 5 minutes away from South Seas when she pulled the van off the side of the road and put it in park. She said "we were close enough and their company had Been stiffed too many times and demanded our card". I gave her the credit card information and hoped never to see this woman/company again. If that wasnt bad enough the woman called us at least 5 times while we were still on vacation asking why we hadnt called to use them and to confirm our pickup from the airport (Which I kindly declined). I would love to praise another company, but they asked to remain anonymous when I told them I would be writing a review. This other company was so friendly and kind, that when I told them what had happened the driver would not allow us to pay, even though it was their competitor and we had been using this new company every day for over 3days! The driver said when you come down here you just want to relax so we just want you all to do that while your here. Thanks to you guys and anyone BEWARE of Island Taxi especially if the owner woman thinks your family will stiff her!!...karma

If i could give 0 stars I would. I tried to make a reservation on Friday morning, which they said needed to be confirmed but the woman who does it is out of the office at the moment, and that she would call me right after lunchtime. No problem. Monday morning comes and still no reply from them. I call and they said their reservation person is out of the office again, but then they said she is with another customer. How are you with another customer, but not in the office? I dont appreciate being lied to. When I finally get a call back, I had already made a different reservation with a different company. I tell this to the reservation woman, Madeline, and she replies with "alright, fine." and just hangs up on me. Im happy to say I didnt trust them with driving me an hour from the airport to my destination, and instead went with a much more professional service. This company is cheap for a reason.

I am an island resident and travel every week to the airport. My car was in the shop so I used Island Taxi for the first time. Driver was on time (actually early but was patiently waiting), Lincoln town car, very clean, comfortable, air condition was blowing. Excellent driver, patient and friendly was great to talk to. I am now considering having them take me to and from Airport going forward. Way more convieniant, and cheaper than parking my car at the airport for a week. EXCELLENT!!

Island Taxi was great! First time traveling alone and as a woman I was a little concerned but had the best experience!! Nice Lincoln Town picked me up and took me to my hotel from the airport and returned me to the airport without any issues. My driver, Tom, was very professional and courteous. I would definitely use them again without hesitation. The transportation company suggested by the hotel was twice as expensive when I priced their services. Island Taxi is the way to go!!

Finally some competition on the island, which makes for better service. Island Taxi has friendly drivers who are clean, prompt, safe and courteous. Their fleet seems 10 years newer than the other taxi and Madeline was hired! Obviously all the BS the other taxi service was spewing is just that. Our new go-to transport from RSW to our Sanibel home. No pink shirt gimmicks and late arrivals from a cell phone parking lot.

I arranged to meet Island Taxi at their conveniently located office for a ride back to the airport from Sanibel. Sue was waiting for me when I got there, polishing her taxi van. She was super nice, her car was spotless and she was a great driver who got me there in plenty of time. I would highly recommend this service.

Island Taxi has all new cars and vans. They are so fresh and comfortable. The dispatcher Madeline is the best tour guide on the island. She gave us information on the best restaurant and best place to load up with groceries for the week. The drivers were always on time and happy to serve.
