NEVER EVER USES THIS COMPANY!!!! Just to let you know, its NOT an accredited BBB company either. I wish I had never called this place. Two weeks before i moved, I called and scheduled this company to move my stuff. I was quoted a price right then of $129 an hour for 3 guys and was assured that there would be no other charges, it was all determined by how long the job took. They told me they would call me they day before the move and tell me what time they would be there the next day and I said that was fine. I told the lady on the phone that I would prefer the morning. The day before the movers no one had called me by 3 pm so I called them and the lady told me that I was the first move of the morning and to expect me around 8 am. I said great. An hour later a different lady called me back and told me that my moving time had been changed to the 2nd move of the day. Although I was annoyed because I had already set up plans for that day, whatever, no big deal. Then she said that there would be a stair fee and there would be a fuel charge fee. Now I was more than a little annoyed because it was the day before my move and the price just went up, even thought I was promised it was only an hourly fee. Then I asked her what time they would be at my old place and she said any time between 11 am - 4 pm. Seriously? Fine. She said that the movers would call 30 minutes out so we knew when they would be there. The next day came, my spouse had taken a day off of work and sat at our old place. By 3 pm NO ONE CALLED OR SHOWED UP. So I called them and they said that they had a team coming in from a move and would be at our place that day. I asked here if there was ANY way that they were going to cancel on me that day, and she said no, that they would be there to move me out. By 4 pm, no one called, so I called them and they assured me not to worry that a team would be coming out soon, and they will be moving us that day. At 4:30 pm no call, so I called them and they told me the same story. At 5 pm the lady called me and told me they had to cancel for the day. Seriously? She then said that she would have someone there tomorrow morning anytime between 8 am - 11 am. Unbelievable. I had no other choice, I had to get my stuff moved before the weekend (when I could have just done it myself.) So my spouse had to take ANOTHER day off from work. The next morning the movers arrived at 8:15 without calling beforehand. The loaders/un-loaders were great. However, in addition to the added fees mentioned above, they also charged another hour travel time (this is in addition to the fuel charge fee). Really? After everything they charged us even more money? If anything, we needed to at least make up the difference from my spouse having to take 2 days off of work because of "All my Sons" issues, not pay even more fees. If you use these movers, I am sorry you didnt read these reviews.

I was quoted prices for two and three movers. I decided that just two were needed for this small 2BR unit. After the date was scheduled, I must have repeated the requirement for two movers a dozen times. It like each time they called, they talked about three movers and never seemed to get the noon start time correct. The tenant needed a noon start because of work and other time constrataints, but after telling them a half a dozen times, they showed up two hours early. So the movers sat in the parking lot while the tenant scurried around getting ready. The movers know on the door and we review the contract which takes 15 minutes to complete, this should have been done prior to the move date. Anyways, they start and they work quickly. The movers are carefully and they are good movers. They load the truck and don’t bang and smash anything. Once again they are good at loading and unloading. The items are taken to a storage unit as the tenants move to unit will not be ready for two more weeks. So they unload and when they are almost complete, the big dude calls me over to review the contact, the time and so on. He estimates that they have 30-40 minutes left and charge the next 30 minutes. I’m ok with that, it looks like a lot of stuff, so 30 minutes seems OK. Then they charge $180.00 for packing materials. Wow, that seems high, but it’s the end of the day and perhaps I made a mistake. Anyways, I sign and pay. Then I go to the storage unit main office and not 10 minutes later they are driving out the lot. So, what happened to those 20 minutes or the 1/3 hour at the $129 per hour, that like $40.00 over charge and that packing material thing? So I call the office on Monday, speak with my agent who scheduled the job. She’s really surprised, and says I only had two rolls of cardboard blankets. They are $9.00 each or something like that. So the mover guys change the 9 dollars each or $18.00 into $180.00 and drove off early 20 minutes early. So, don’t pay until the job is done. Don’t allow the movers to start the clock until the contract is signed, and have a price sheet from the mover before the movers arrive. I’m hopeful that All My Son’s moving will do the right thing. When I called, the agent in Bradenton seemed surprised and thought it was a mistake, but she never returned the call back. I put comments in my survey when the job was completed, but no calls, no emails. I’m going to register a complaint with the BBB next week and start a web site called All My Sons Ripped Me Off. Look for it 3/2013. If the mover corrects the issue, I will revise my comments. They will say, we were over charged, but the moving company worked with me to resolve the problem and was professional about it. The movers do a great job moving.

We had a tough move coming from Richmond, Va to Tampa, FL. The company that transported our stuff down here was horrible (ABF). Among other things, they conveniently cancelled the two people that were supposed to come and help us unload when the truck arrived in Tampa. They stated that they had spoken to someone a week and a half prior and that person said we no longer needed the help. Well, the only two people that they could have spoken with were my wife or I, and neither one of us would have canceled the help as I just had back surgery in February and my wife cant lift all the heavy furniture by herself. We didnt find out that the help was canceled until the day before the truck arrived and also conveniently, they couldnt get someone out to help us because they said it was too short notice. So, my wife started calling around to see if we could find a company that would send out a couple guys to help us unload. The day the truck arrived we called All My Sons; all I can say is thank God for them!! They sent two guys out to us at about 3:45 pm from Sarasota. Unfortunately, they hit some really bad traffic and it took them until 7:15 pm to get to us; but despite the hassle for them to get up here, they still came. We had been unloading since about 2:30 pm (boxes and small stuff), but there was still quite a bit to be done, including the furniture. Were on a second floor apartment with a flight of about 19 steps going up to the landing. Bryce and Jay set about hauling boxes and furniture, we had them booked for 3 hours and by 9:30 pm we were done. My wife and I, along with my new boss and my brother all helped them as well. I dont think its right to just let other people haul all your stuff up a huge flight of stairs without helping them. They were awesome!! They came out as short notice as you can possibly get, drove through extremely heavy traffic for hours and worked their tails off in the Florida humidity. They were professional, courteous and literally saved the day. I hate moving and we will never use ABF again. I will however call All My Sons the next time we move - their price was reasonable and they were done super fast for the amount of stuff we had. We made sure that they had some of the pizza we ordered, gave them as much water and Powerade as they needed and tipped them generously when they were done. Thank you to Jimmy and Diane in the office and a humongous thank you to Bryce and Jay, you all rock and we cant say thank you enough.
