Update- Matt Ham, the owner of Computer Repair Doctor, did contact me about this problem once he saw my original review. He explained that he did not receive my original email. He was very, very apologetic about the situation, took time to hear my concerns, and gave us a full refund for the repairs! I would say Matt is true to his word in wanting to make things right for the customer; but he cant correct the problem if he doesnt know about it. I would also say in our experience, the weight of most, if not all, of the problem rests on his management staff at the E. Tennessee store; not the techs or the owner. I really appreciate Matt taking the time to reach out and try to correct a wrong. I would give him 5 stars as a business owner for customer service, but still would give his management staff 1 star because this situation did not need to reach him if they had actually listened to the customer and not dug in to insists I was wrong and they were right. Based on Matts actions, I would consider using one of his other stores in the future, but would not feel confident to return to the E. Tennessee store. We had taken two other devices here previously to have repairs done without issue, so thought this time would be the same. DEFINITELY not!! They had one of our Ipod 5 devices for a month to repair a cracked screen! When we got it back, the pass code had somehow been changed. I dont know how, and it may have been an accident, but it was definitely changed. It had been set to the same pass code my son uses for everything, but they would not take responsibility that somehow it got changed there. This caused us a lot of problems and we had to reset the device. It then got stuck in recovery mode. We ended up taking it to another professional to get it finally working properly. They did not keep us updated over the extended time they had the device, I had to call to get updates and kept getting told "this is a very hard fix." Isnt that what they do?? Isnt that what we paid them full price for? For a job that we were told would be 2 days when we dropped it off? The little Loop pop out on the back of the device is completely broken now and will not pop out. I contacted Tyler, the temporary manager on duty, about our very poor service; he was condescending and rude. He kept talking over me and then telling me to stop talking because he couldnt talk. Customer was never right in his eyes. He did not solve any issues for us and I then talked to the main office in Orlando. At first they were helpful and said they would talk to the Tallahassee location I had issues with and then call me back. Stephen from the Orlando office did call me back, but his tone changed from "well do whatever it takes" to "well see". I emailed the owner as well to detail all of our problems with their service, but never heard a word back. I asked the Orlando office to have him call me as well, but nothing. That was about three weeks ago. I would highly recommend AVOIDING this place; if they get it right, all is great, but if they get it wrong, good luck! You will get no admission of fault on their end, only excuses and blaming you. Why pay someone to do that?

This place is a new in Tally, but I decided to give them a try when the power button broke on my laptop. I wasnt expecting much (getting my laptop fixed in the past was never a pleasant experience), but this shop really went above and beyond for me. Im in law school, so having a working, reliable laptop is essential. Heres my experience: When I brought the laptop in, the only person I had to speak with was the owner -- Matt. Matt knew his stuff and was able to show me exactly what the problem was right there in the store. I left the computer with him to give them time to write up an estimate, and I had it via text within the hour. (Thats something else thats cool that they do -- they send you text messages letting you know when the computers ready and stuff like that, which I prefer to phone calls or e-mail.) The price was VERY reasonable, especially considering the hardware work I had to have done. The computer was fixed and ready to pick up in just a couple of days, which was way faster than I was expecting. Now, if thats where it had ended, it would have already been the best experience Id had in Tally with a repair shop. But almost a month after I got it back, the computer started having this weird problem where it would just shut down randomly. It would just turn off with no warning. Like I said, Im a law student. Thats the worst problem I could have had with the only computer I had for school. I had no idea what was wrong with it, so I brought it back to Matt. He and his team diagnosed and fixed it THAT NIGHT. I was back in business the very next day. They also found some viruses hidden in my software and took care of them. And they did it all at no charge... because Matt remembered from our conversations that my budget was tight. If thats not personal service, I dont know what is. These guys are solid. By far my best experience getting a computer fixed. Probably the best customer service Ive ever had. Bring them your broken electronics, you wont be disappointed.

Breaking your phone sucks! This being my first time, I was not familiar with my repair options in Tallahassee. I searched online and found some shops in town that promised a slightly better price but did not guarantee to use OEM parts. Not wanting to compromise the quality, usability and integrity of my iPhone 5s, I selected Computer Repair Doctor. Their website was clean, professional and informative and they had favorable reviews. I was in the store shortly after they opened on Monday morning to inquire about repairing my phone and another belonging to a friend. A quick assessment determined an accurate estimate, reassurance that they had quality parts in stock and a time estimate of about 1 hour for repairs. As promised, the phones were repaired on time and for the estimated price. My friend and I were pleased with the results until later that night when my phones camera failed. I immediately thought the worst and was prepared to pay more money to get this fixed. I had no way of determining if it was my fault form the accident that broke the screen or it was a subsequent result from the repair. When I returned the next day and presented the problem to Aaron, he assured me that they tested the equipment and it was working the day before. He suggested I leave it with him so they could pop it open and determine the cause. A short time later I received an email telling me my phone was ready for pick-up. He could not determine exactly what caused the issue but he fixed it anyway at no additional charge. What made this an extraordinary experience is how they responded to an issue and resolved it before it became a problem. These guys are honest and sincerely interested in the best service and value for their customers. I highly recommend doing business with this company.
