I cannot tell you how happy I am to have found Carsten and VocaMacRepair! Id give him 20 stars if I could. I had a major catastrophic event featuring my 27-inch iMac that was purchased in 2010. It kept overheating and freezing up to the point I had to turn it off several times a day. Not a good thing when you’ve got a home-based graphic design business and clients who won’t let you retire (I’m 74…one of the real old-timers). The technician that last worked on my iMac was nowhere to be found. So, remembering the sage advice of my ancestors, “Google is your friend,” I got on the laptop and googled Mac Repair Marietta Area. When I read all the 5 Star Reviews for VocaMacRepair, I was totally impressed and decided to give them a call. Carsten returned my call almost immediately, and the more I chatted with him, the more I knew that he was my guy. To make a long story short, Carsten is the Titan of Technicians, the Maestro of Macintosh, and one of the most personable guys I’ve ever met! He did major surgery on my graphics card and wiped my hard drive to install an operating system more appropriate to the age of my iMac. Who knew you weren’t supposed to upgrade your OS just because you can? I also learned things that I didn’t know—like don’t download and install a program just because it promises to make your Mac be a lean, mean production machine. We shall not speak the name of this vile program aloud (whisper…Mackeeper) Carsten is now my official MacAngel whom I shall consult any time I get the urge to download something disreputable at 4:00 am just because there was a song on YouTube that I wanted to convert to an mp3 file. Mumble, mumble. You can’t go wrong with VocaMacRepair. Carsten is one of the most knowledgeable folks I’ve ever had the pleasure of communicating with. And, he didn’t charge me an arm and a leg for what turned out to be a much more complex problem than either of us anticipated. I gladly give him 5 stars to go with the other 80+ 5 star ratings that he has.

When I began experiencing problems with my computer, I took it first to PeachMac in order to see what was wrong. When they told me there was liquid damage and that it would cost >$800 to repair, my husband searched and found VocaMac. I called and took my computer in on a Wed. morning. Carsten took a look at it and admonished me for ever taking it to PeachMac. He was right to do so. He cleaned my computer and got rid of all of the liquid damage and had my computer ready to pick up the same afternoon! He was very professional and explained the steps he would take in order to fix my computer and, upon picking it up, explained exactly what was done. Bottom line, my computer was fixed at a FRACTION of the cost by a person who is very professional and knowledgeable. I read Carstens business philosophy and, I can truly say, his interests are exactly as he states --- doing a quality job, looking after the investment I made in a Mac, being professional in that endeavor, and keeping the prices down. I appreciate his efforts on all of those fronts and will make sure that when I need service again for my Mac, that I take it to VocaMac!

Thanx vocamac!!!!! I was in quite a position with my macbook. having spent 1300$ only a few years back investing in a computer that was supposed to last 5 years+ i took it to apple thinking they would keep up their promise only to stand in line for an hour to hear them say buy a new one. i feel that they didnt open it. Extremely frustrated, I took it upon myself to search for service/repair. then I was referred to vocamac repair. carsten had my computer open and diagnosed within minuets. i held my breath when i saw how dirty and complicated it looked, but Carsten made me feel comfortable. i could tell right away that he was the one i was searching for. My problem was more than a charger port. It needed a part that sounded impossible to find. I was worried. after several days of searching I got a call. Carsten said it was fixed!!! ahh! I was shocked! Not only was it fixed. he cleaned it like new and the best part of it all was the price. very very easy to understand what I had paid for and what a deal!!! Thanx so much VOCA!!! Ive never seen someone like Carston with a passion for he what he does. Right from the first call I made to him, he was very patient and worked around my schedule to meet. Im a hard core techie myself, but I had to bow before his expertise. My Mac couldnt detect the secondary drive inside the optical bay. I spent around 50-60 hours before I decided to call Carston. First of all, he understood what I was saying within few minutes (Some folks couldnt understand even after 20 minutes of explanation... after which I had to give up). He patiently went through several permutations between changing hard drives (primary and secondary), optical bay, sata cable, etc. Within an hour or so, he found the problem and I was happily on my way home (he even gave me some of the missing screws for the optical expansion bay). The best part was that he didnt even charge me for the help. I very rarely write reviews, but I felt it would be wrong to not write about this guy. Any more Mac problems for me, family or my friends, Carlstons phone will definitely be ringing.

I am self employed and use my macbook as my primary computer. Recently I damaged my screen and didnt know what I was going to do because I needed it fixed immediately. I looked around online and even called the apple store but everyone quoted me a 3-7 day turn around. I was referred to Vocamacrepair and when I reached out the tech was extremely polite and said he would try to complete it within an hour!!! He exceeded all expectations and had my macbook back to brand-new in 45min!! He also suggested to add additional hardware to improve the performance and now I can keep my Mac for even longer! I was so impressed with his diligence I referred another colleague to his services. Im a DJ out of Atlanta and I need my computer for everything production related. My cat knocked some beer on to my laptop & low and behold my Macbook wouldnt turn on. I took it to the Apple store, the guys there had no interested really in fixing it considering they only had it in the back with them for 5 minutes tops. They came back and told me my Logic Board wasnt working & that itd cost 1250 to repair the thing! Its a 17 Inch from 2011, that would not have been worth it. 3 other spots including Onyx & ihospital told me the exact same thing. Voca was interested in seeing my computer. Not only was he knowledgeable in Apple products, but you could tell just how much he loved the computers themselves. Ill never go back to the Apple store again!

This guy is just like finding a diamond in your backyard! I am dead serious. Its amazing how knowledgeable about Macs he is. He fixed my MacBook Pro from being actually dead. I have an old one, 2008; I couldnt afford a new one. After having had it up and running again, he backed up all my data and placed it in a single folder on the desktop. Then, he proceeded to change the operating system to a newer version. Not only happy with that, he added programs to it! Now I have a brand new Mac! All for a fraction of dollars, and I am talking FRACTION of what any tech would charge for a job like that. I highly recommend him. He is so honest. A HUGE THANK YOU to you CARSTEN! you are a real deal!
