This is the WORST post office I have ever ever been to in my life. I was expecting an important package from a family member last week. The carrier in my area either leaves packages at my door or in a lock box. The package was a 2 day priority shipment. I never received it. I went out of town that next Monday and called to see if my package was at the office. The manager, MIKE answered the phone. Rudely, might I add, and checked for the package. He proceeded to rush me off of the phone, but seeing as how this was an important package, I needed to make sure my name was on it. He sounded unprepared and irritated. He could barely form a sentence and I could barely understand what he was saying. I called back 10 minutes later and a woman answered the phone. I got the SAME quick, gibberish greeting. I explained to her my situation about the package and I wanted more information about the policy of returning to sender. All I wanted was someone to be able to give me some insight as to what I should do about my unreceived package. Before I could finish my question, she immediately cut me off. I then explained to her that I spoke with a man 10 minutes earlier, and maybe he would know what I was talking about. She then said "Maybe that man you talked to will answer the phone next time." and hung up. I was SO shocked! I couldnt understand WHY these people were being so rude if I was only asking for their help. Especially since it is their job. I called back AGAIN (3rd time) and the "manager" MIKE answers the phone. I told him how rude the other woman was and that I had more questions, and he responds, "I know, I was standing right here listening." I asked him why they were so determined not to help me and why wouldnt they let me finish. MIKE then raised his voice and said "You can come pick up the package or not at all." I asked him if there was any way of securing my package to make sure it doesnt get returned and he responded, "Im not giving you anymore information about the package because I already did." Now, this incident blew me away, I had never in my life been talked to so dirty. Last time I checked, my tax dollars were writing their checks. No WONDER theyre shutting down post offices one by one! This is not the first time I have dealt with extreme unprofessionalism from this office. They never forward my mail correctly, theyre always understaffed, nonchalant and uninterested. This is not the last time MIKE the "manager" and the other rude female will be hearing from me. There are hard working people who need jobs but instead these fools are getting paid to do nothing. Such a disgrace. And by the way, when I go in to pick up my package I will make sure to get a good look at who this MIKE person is so I can match the fool to the face.

This post office--and its mail carriers--are inefficient fools. Time and time again Ill be home around the time the mail comes to my apartment complex, and time and time again I receive a stupid pink slip in my mailbox saying "Sorry we missed you!" Bull. They never check to see if Im even home. Instead of driving their vehicle 15 feet up a hill and knocking on a door, they just assume that Im not home and leave a "Sorry we missed you!" slip. So much for 2 day delivery... The worst part about it is that these carriers dont give you the option to "redeliver." Instead, it says that the package is at the Pensacola Street post office. So then I have to drive to the post office the next day to get my package. Again, I need to stress here that I AM HOME WHEN THE MAIL COMES; they just refuse to even knock and force me to have to make an extra trip to the post office to pick up the package. So then I have to wait in the post office, which is exactly how it sounds in all the other reviews on this website--broken-down, slow, and rude. I wait 30 minutes in line for the package, wait another 10 minutes--everytime--for the carrier to walk to, heck, I dont know, Atlanta, to pick up the package, and then come back with a scowl on his or her face that makes it seem like its your fault for not being home when the package was delivered (again, I AM HOME). This post office just shows how broken down and inefficient the U.S. Postal Service is: drive the package to my house; instead of knocking on the door, just assume that Im not home and leave a slip; drive the package back to the post office; make me drive to the post office to pick it up; wait in line for 30 minutes; be treated like a incompetent fool; and drive all the way back to my house with the package that could have been delivered for much less gas and time. Does this make any logical sense? If even half of the post offices in America are as inefficient as the one on Pensacola Street, then I say good riddance to the post office. Who needs them? They monitor who lives at what address, you say? Outsource that task to UPS or Fed Ex. At least theyll knock on my door before assuming that Im not home.

This is the worst customer service Ive seen. Granted the customer isnt always right, but COME ON! I dropped off a package that my customer had already paid shipping on. I printed a label for it, and stood in line for 20 minutes, until the lady at the counter asked if I wanted to drop off. I asked her THREE times if I needed anything. She said, no and that its fine if shipping is paid for. Its now Thursday and I dropped it off on Tuesday. (I shipped it with First Class 1-3 business days) Customer and I are both tracking it and it hasnt even been scanned into any processing center yet. So, I call customer service, and the lady tells me to wait a few more days, and if nothing still., to call back and open an investigation. I then called the location where I dropped my package off, and this man answers, wouldnt even let me explain what I was even calling for. Kept cutting me off, and I was on hold for 45 minutes. I called back and asked for a Supervisor (Susan). Extremely rude to me. Said there was nothing she could do, oh well, tough luck and that their mail goes out every night and that First Class Mail is NOT guaranteed 1-3 days. This item wasnt cheap, and I have a feeling its just sitting in the back somewhere because these people are careless. I then said I will wait a few more days, and if nothing happens Ill need to open an investigation. She laughed at me, and said "You do whateva you feel is right." They get paid to screw things up, and its horrible. People depend on you to take care of their things. Your attitudes are ridiculous. I advise all of you to physically go and get them to print you shipping labels. DO NOT leave until you get a receipt.

THIS POST OFFICE NEEDS TO BE CLOSED, OR THEY NEED TO HIRE PEOPLE WHO WANT TO WORK, AND DO THEIR JOB! I have resided in this apt complex for 3 years! I have always gotten my mail from FEDEX, UPS, and USPS! For some odd reason, I guess whoever was delivering that day didnt want to get out of the truck, walk, or was PMSing, because when I went to check the tracking, it said, THAT I HAD MOVED!! BS!!!!!!!!! I called this location to ask to speak to a supervisor, and try to stop the package from being sent back to the seller. How ironic..it was the supervisor who answered the phone (Probably NOT!! LIES!!). After being on hold for a while, he came back and said that my package was on the way back to the seller!! I explained that I have been in this apt for 3 years. He claimed that my APT # was not on the package, and that the worker said he usually leaves my packages by my door!! WHAT??!! IF THERE WAS NO APT #, HOW DID HE KNOW WHERE TO LEAVE IT!! We have a parcel box for USPS...SO WHY LEAVE IT AT MY DOOR??!! Of course he said that they did not take a photo of the box to show WHY it was not delivered due to NO APT #!! Of course, I saw the apt # on the tracking, and upon speaking with the seller...THE APT # WAS THERE!!! I dont understand what happened to the USPS workers of old!! Back in the day, they took PRIDE in what they did! Your mail was delivered on time!! The workers at the PO were always polite and courteous!! IF THEY SCREWED UP? THEY OWNED IT! I sincerely hope that one day, the PTB (Powers That Be) take a serious look at this location...they need a SERIOUS MAKEOVER from the top to the bottom!!!!!!!!!!
