The owner is hands down a wanna-be-tyrant scumbag. Nothing at this place ever works properly, the gate is often broken or doesnt open properly, the water hoses for boats have been duct taped back together in about 20 different areas. The whole place looks like its being structurally held together by duct tape and yellow police ribbon. I had two boats stored here due to the convenient location, but the absentee owner (it took me 4 days to get him to come into the office and sign me up for an account) who sits at home all day lurking over the security cameras is too much of a creep. I pulled in this weekend to get my boat out when the gate was broken (again) and was held closed by a rope and a piece of wood. A sharpie-marker sign provided great insight on how to lift the rope to open the door (duh, like it wasnt obvious) and how to perform the reverse operation to close it. I was in the yard maybe 10 minutes and the owner comes rushing up screaming "HEY COLLEGE BOY.... HEY COLLEGE BOY, DONT YOU KNOW HOWTA READ?!" (mind you that I am 30 years old). We had a small argument, but due to his subpar command of the English language, I terminated that argument realizing he was likely drunk anyways at noon on Saturday. As he was walking away, my temper go the best of me, realizing that this a__hole is driving a new Cadillac, but cant ever fix anything on his property, and yet I AM PAYING for a service. I proceeded to tell him that a piece of wood and loosely looped rope wont keep people from robbing the boats or yachts in his yard. He went on and on, most of it I tuned out and for a few lapsing seconds completely lost interest in the fact that he was still standing there. The owner proceeded to tell me how "heavily armed" he was and that once I (I assume he meant anyone) got into the property, they werent getting back out. He challenged me to try. He then told me to finish up my month and get out of there and find someplace else to store my boats. When I got to the front gate, he had cash waiting for me, and he told me my lease was now terminated (which is illegal, there was no notice provided). He tried to hand me the cash, I simply laughed at him and told him he would really need that money in the future with his attitude. Then I told him to put it towards fixing the gate and left. This guy is an absolute idiot, hes a creep, and he just comes to the yard and watches people so he can feel like he has a tiny spec of dignity and power left in his pathetic life. From how I see that he treats even his other customers, I am really surprised anyone still stores anything here.

For twenty six months (26) I faithfully paid on time, while I was unemployed/underemployed. I got a SOLID job offer out of FL, so like the classy individual I am, I notified the owner, one week before vacating, that I would be leaving. We (my friend and I) started unloading at 4:30 PM due to a bunch of last minute problems that could not be avoided (weather being one of them). We were almost done by 8:30 pm, when this angry _SSHOLE of an owner comes back after having left at 6 to tell us that "YOU MUST LEAVE BY 9, OR ALL HAVE U CHARGE WITH TRESPASSING" After being a good LONG TERM faithful ON TIME payer these are the thanks I get. Im all for helping out the small business person, but this IDIOT does not deserve it. BTW, we left @ 8:50 PM, and now you can go back to your life as a looser, you drunk.

I was having a completely terrible day when I visited this store today to inquire prices and sizes. Upon my arrival, I was greeted with smiles and an overall positive, friendly and welcoming environment. the owner greeted me and offered his help. I was surprised at how knowledgeable the entire staff was on every aspect of the company. The experience the owner gave me changed my entire day for the better and I will 100% be choosing this location when it comes time to store my belongings. As long as this staff is on hand I will happily tell my friends and family about this facility. I want to thank you for everything and making a random customer coming through the door feel special and valued. NOW THATS CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

I cant really talk about the few situations that happened to other people but I have to say that the owners here are really nice and helpful. The facility is very clean and it is climate controlled at a price much better than other places. Some people complained about things not working. The only thing I noticed was one time I went to go into the main facility and the key pad wasnt working right. I called the owner who got there pretty fast and he let me in. Later that day it was fixed. Unfortunately once in a while things need servicing but Ive never seen the owners just leave things broken. The two owners that own this place have always been extremely nice to me and they happen to care about the military.

I have stored my boat here for over a year and have no complaints. Every time I have needed anything the manager on duty has been extremely friendly and accommodating. I would recommend Interbay Self Storage to anyone in South Tampa needing a place to keep their boat.

Conveniently located, clean and well maintained. Only annoyance are the motion sensor lights...Our storage is slightly in the middle of the facility, about 20 ft away from the motion sensors, so the lights cuts off every 10 or so minutes.
