***HIGHLEY RECOMEND***HONESTLY HAS TO BE THE MOST LEGIT GARAGE IVE ENCOUNTERED*** I grew up in a garage working around cars so Im quite knowledgeable when it comes to auto repairs... But what my car did before she just "died" on the side of a local hwy was hard for me to even attempt to describe the sounds it made and the weird series of events prior to the her stalling out. Im from NJ only in FL visiting.. While waiting on AAA , we had lunch and the waitress recommended Hometown Auto. I showed up a little before 5pm on a Friday. The owner Eli & his wife were both so very nice.. My car was put on a computer and I was given a diagnosis within minutes. He told me it was a sensor, gave me the info to grab the part at an autoparts store and showed me which sensor to swap out. He pointed out a few minor things I might want to have it looked at when I get home to NJ as preventative maintenance and the whole time he was speaking to me I was thinking this guy has to be the most legit mechanic I have ever met. No up selling no nonsense and no bull*%#+. I asked him how much would it cost for him to do everything and his price (including the part) was less than half of what I thought he might try to charge me. I handed him the keys, told him Id be back to pick it up in the morning since it was close to closing time and even tried to pay him upfront. He wouldnt accept $ until after it was fixed of course but I couldnt have been more relieved knowing my car was going to be good to go for the trip home to Jersey. I havent had any problems since my car left his shop!

I found this place by googling auto repair shops around winter haven and I liked the reviews. When I called to get a price idea, he was very nice and said he would have time to fit me in the same day. I called about 4 other places before this place and all the other ones were more expensive. I needed to get new brake pads and new roders. My car sounded horrible when I dropped it off there. It was making a bad grinding noise. He immediately showed me the problem and took care of it, plus my car was done really quickly. I also got an oil change as well, and the price was very reasonable for all the work I had done. I plan to make this my new mechanic place for my husband and I. I would recommend this place to anyone! My Dad is planning to get some work done there now because he was pretty impressed with the service/price/ and how quickly it was handled as well. Thank you! I didnt feel nervous or have any kind of feeling that I was getting ripped off like most car shops make me feel.

I had a good experience with them. They replaced a thermostat and radiator hoses. Several little things caught my eye...rather than just removing the old hose and sliding on the new ones,they actually cleaned the areas where the hoses attached! Something I would do if I did the job myself and a nice touch.....also, my window washer fluid bottle was missing its cap, I had a rag stuffed in to keep out dirt, they replaced it with a cap (used) that they probably had lying around that fit perfectly...no mention of it and no charge for it, another nice touch! They also drove me back home when I dropped my truck off, I live just down the road but another nice touch! They will definitely get my business again.......

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO THIS SHOP. Took my car there for a fuel pump replacement (quote was $330), I knew it was bad and going out. Instead they said pump was fine but the relay was bad and replaced it($60 bill). Started the car once and drove back to house. It never started again, had to have it towed back to get fixed again ($400 this time with the tow). The shop wouldnt even cover the tow, even though if they had done their job right the first time it wouldnt had to be towed. In the end it cost me $460 instead of $330 because they are idiots. So I repeat do not take your car here, there are other shops in the area, try them

Took my husbands truck in for the sound I could hear but he could not. Diagnostics showed a bad 4wd solenoid and some other things that needed urgent attn. Great communication with both my husband and I keeping us updated on repairs needed and completion of job updates. Highly recommend these wonderful people!
