I have gone in the past with great results however my last two visits have not been good. And the last experience left me frustrated and filled with anxiety. I went in with two of my friends for a girls day to have a 90 minute massage and hair cut. We got there more than 15 minutes early as instructed and checked in. we were left to wait at reception for over 30 minutes which resulted in them shortening my massage by 30 minutes and they still tried to make me pay for the 90 minute. The massage itself was fine nothing spectacular. The real issue I had was with the hair cut. We were supposed to have masters appointments because I didnt have the time to wait for the new students to figure things out. We didnt get masters and long story short I ended up walking out halfway through my cut because the girl gave me a full blown anxiety attack. It took her over an hour to even get my hair separated for the cut. She would panic when she tried to cut the hair and would walk away for 10-15mins and come back with an instructor for advice. After this happened 4 times I still didnt have a finished cut, my hair was dry and she was adding product and water to try and rewet the hair to finish cutting. My friends had already been done for 45 minutes and werent able to leave since we booked together we had to pay together supposedly, which just seems weird. At check out the lady asked why I didnt like my cut when I explained she said well they cuts some hair so we have to charge. All in all a day set to be fun and relaxing turned out to be a waste of time and money. I spent over 5 hours at the salon for a 60 minute massage and half a hair cut. Not sure if I will be visiting again.

I got the absolute worst haircut ever from this place! I came here because the Paul Mitchell school was busy & a friend recommended it. First off : my appointment was at 5:00 & I walked out of there at 7:57, no joke! Second: when I say the worst haircut ever; I mean it. I told her girl I just wanted my bangs cut & side pieces (the ones that fall down when your hair is up in a pony tail) needed to be cut & about an inch off my layers. Well.. Before I could say anything she was cutting & I didnt realize how much was coming off, meanwhile before she started she asked if I wanted to keep the length and I said YES! Now after sitting in this chair for almost 3 hours I am beyond ready to go. After cutting it she styled it right away before really showing me the cut. She styled it in a HORRENDOUS way, THEN cut my bangs, & my side pieces never got cut. Finally when she finished my hair did not look that short. I got home & washed my hair & styled it normally (I have VERY curly hair) & soon realized that my hair was barely laying past my collar bones & before this cut it was to my breast..... I tried straightening it to give it a different look & realized that one side of my hair is a chopped cut & the other side is a rounded cut. Then I looked at the back (which the girl who cut my hair did not show me) and the back is chopped & about 2-4 inches shorter than anything else. Needless to say I cried for 24 hours over my hair & I cannot wear it down for a while.

FRIDAY 10/2/15, WAS MY SECOND TIME OF COMING HERE, THINKING (HOPING) THAT SINCE THE FIRST TIME WAS A BAD EXPERIENCE, IT WOULDNT HAPPEN AGAIN, WELL OF COURSE I WAS WRONG, SECOND TIME, WRONG COLOR AGAIN, FIRST TIME, I SHOWED THEM A PICTURE OF HOW I WANTED MY HAIR EXACTLY (FROM THEIR BOOK) AND IT WAS TOTALLY DIFFERENT, I GOT HOME AND NEXT DAY, I CUT ALL MY HAIR OFF AND BOUGHT SOME STORE BOUGHT DYE AND DYED IT MYSELF, THIS WAS AFTER PAYING OVER 100.00 FOR THE COLOR NOW THIS TIME, I SPECIFICALLY STATED WHAT I WANTED, THE EDUCATOR KEPT SAYING LOOKS GREAT, LOOKS GREAT, AFTER 5 HRS, I DIDNT WANT TO LOOK I JUST WANTED TO GET HOME, AFTER RETURNING HOME, AND LOOKING IN THE MIRROR,I WAS TO SAY THE LEAST FURIOUS, I ASKED FOR SILVER AND BLUE HIGHLIGHT, I GOT A LITTLE SILVER, ALOT OF BLUE, AND THE WHOLE BOTTOM OF MY HAIR IS STILL THE COLOR IT WAS AFTER THEY STRIPPED ALL THE COLOR AWAY (ALMOST ORANGE) DEFININTELY NOT SILVER, ANOTHER 122.00 WASTED FROM NOW ON I WILL JUST GO TO A REGULAR SALON, AND PAY (MOST LIKELY) THE SAME PRICE IN HALF THE TIME, AND BE HAPPY WITH THE OUTCOME... AND NO I CANT GO BACK AND COMPLAIN ON MONDAY, AS MY LIFE CONSISTS OF WORK AND SLEEP, FOR THE NEXT 5 DAYS.... FML CAN I SAY AGAIN THIS WAS A 5 HR ORDEAL, ON MY ONLY DAY OFF!!!!!!!!

Awful! Would never go back again! The teachers do not even check the students work, they instead ask right in front of the students if youre happy with it (who would have the heart to say no like that?!). My skin was actually painted around my nails and they tried to go back and get it out with a Q-Tip. I typically do them myself and went here for a special occasion. The students told me they were more there for hair then nails... I was courteous and said I was satisfied because they ask right in from of the girls, and when I called the next day saying that my skin on my fingers was painted they didnt offer a discount or anything~ they said they dont do re-dos. I understand the girls are learning, but shouldnt the teachers make sure that for $25 dollars people are getting more than a bottle of nail polish! Even my fiance asked me in a 5 year old did my nails. I think they need to be sure the girls learn customer service (they all complained about having to do nails because they were more into hair the whole time!) and also the institute should check work for the prices they charge! When I asked to speak to a manager they told me she wasnt in... I asked for a call back, doubt Ill get one!

Have been going here for years for my hair and spa services. They always do a great job! I appreciate that the students are supervised every step of the way and find the educators to be extremely knowledgeable and hospitable. The students are always friendly and focused and its easy to forget its a school. Only once or twice, Ive had something I didnt like about my hair afterwards (e.g. color slightly off). But all I had to do was call and say I wasnt happy and they immediately rescheduled me for a free corrective service. They were quick to correct, which is more than youd get from a full-priced stylist whose ego would be hurt. I cant say enough good things about their spa services - especially massages and facials. Where else can you get an hour massage for under $40? And they do a fantastic job - way better than Massage Envy or similar places, which just smother you with lotion and follow a strict routine. Avedas massages include a foot wash, aromatherapy, a FULL hour (or more) service, and they focus on exactly what I want them to, customizing it for me. Cant say enough good about this place. Highly recommend to anyone who will listen!
