Yesterday I had the worst experience @onsitestudioorlando It first started the day before messaging Jarely on Instagram about what I wanted to have done to my hair. After I explained what I wanted she then preceded to say come in naturally curly state so she could cut my hair. I never said I wanted my hair cut so I kindly explained again: just an all over color, product and diffusion. We decided to move my appointment up to 9:30am, but at 9am the day of my appointment she said she would be 30 minutes late. When I got there she was looking through my hair and said she had to get her manager to know how to color my hair (red flag). The manager came and told me in order to get the color I wanted, I needed to bleach my hair. I said I did not want my hair bleached. She then went into this long spill for me to say again, I did not want to bleach my hair. She left and Jarely said, "I understand because the color I have now damaged my hair, because I bleached it." I liked her hair color but told her Im ok not getting that because I did not want to bleach it and Im fine doing the last color I previously had in my hair. I showed her and she said I needed to bleach my hair to get it. And again I had to reiterate I did not want to bleach my hair and didnt have to bleach it to get the last color I had in my hair. She then recommended a "more safe" bleaching technique after which I had to say again, I didnt want any type of bleach in my hair. I told her Ill take any color, it didnt matter as long as she didnt bleach my hair. My main concern was a different color and curls. All of this was a wasted 30 minutes. She then told me I should try to go to the lady I went to before to color my hair and come back to have her do the curls. So I did that. Before I left, I asked how much for just the product and diffusion and she said $55. And I said the receptionist told me $30 and you said $35. She said $55 was for the treatment and I had to explain again I just wanted the @mydevacurl product with the diffusion, no treatment. She said ok thats $35. She then messaged me after I left that If I wrote her and she didnt answer, to just call the salon when Im headed back. There was no discussion of specific times I should come back so after I finished my color I messaged her the time I could make it back and she said she didnt think she would have time because she had a client that was going to take a few hours. I asked if she could fit me in or if there was someone else that could take me, but by this time I was already on my way. I get there and Jarely and her manager Kristen came back to talk to me to tell me no one could fit me in. I asked why she told me to go to the other lady to get my hair colored if she wasnt going to have time to finish me. She lied and said she never told me that. I would have never left if she didnt tell me to or bothered asking someone last minute to color my hair if she didnt recommend to do so because she didnt know how to color my hair. I asked to wait to see if another client may cancel, and the manager Kristen made a smart remark that Id be wasting my time and there was nothing else she would say to me. I didnt mind waiting and was very patient and sat reading a magazine. The manager Kristen then came back and said she couldnt allow me to wait and there wouldnt be any opportunity for anyone to fit me in. It was about 3:30 and they didnt close till 8. So for them to tell me there was no chance of a cancelation or an opening to fit me in and to kick me out saying she wont allow me to wait was unfair. The whole situation was bad business. There was no apology for my wasted time, travel, or expense starting a process she never intended to finish. This was for a wedding I was flying out of town for and they had no care of the stress they caused. After Jarely did not know how to color my hair and suggested I should go to someone else, I should have never came back. Horrible experience

I have curly hair, which I care a lot about. The past 3 years I have been on my journey to natural, healthy hair. Luckily for me, my journey had started with the use of Deva Curl products. Naturally, when I learned about the cutting technique I was eager to try it! For the past 3 years, I have never been given a hair cut (including the deva cutting technique) that has genuinely satisfied me... Until I had my hair cut by Stephanie. I had been reading reviews on her and checked out her work online. It looked promising enough for me to let her try the balayage coloring technique. I had gotten my hair colored at salons in the past which had turned out a disaster and left my curls completely ruined. Stephanie is such a sweet, funny, beautiful, and extremely talented girl. I trusted her throughout the entire process. She takes pride in her work and will not settle until everything is perfect. I felt like I was getting my hair done by my best friend. She took hours out of her day to cut and color my hair exactly how I wanted, and kept my curls from getting damaged. She was patient and attentive the entire time. This review is long but she deserves it. I look forward to going back to her for a second balayage session. I will not trust another person with my curls. Stephanie needs to be your new best curl friend! (Side note: this studio is so amazing and the decor is out of this world. Mickey and Kristen did a great job!)

I brought my 1 year old...my ONE year-old... to get a trim. It has been a few months since the visit, which I wish I reviewed it then, as well as provided before/after pictures (sorry). But, Ill try my best with the details: My baby had a headful of beautiful curls, but there was this one patch of hair that was just rough and unruly in the back of her head. Before cutting it, I tried coconut oil, or just wetting it throughout the day to keep the curls looking pretty. Well, that got annoying quickly, so I decided to get the advice from a Deva Curl specialist. I went to this salon, and upon arrival, they helped by listening to my concern, and then I just left it in her stylists hands. Fortunately, my baby sat still for majority of the time. As I stood behind the stylist as shes cutting my babys hair, I was absolutely nervous because chunks of hair was being chopped off! No little trims, but at least an inch. My first thought," all of her baby curls are gone!" So after I picked up my heart from the floor, the cut was done. My baby had a pixie haircut, and it was sooo cute on her. Of course, I had to get used to seeing her with that hairstyle, but it was soooo much easier to comb through and style, and she looked beautiful in everything she wore:). Now, a few months later...the curls are back!! But without the dry patch! Her hair is still easy to manage and growing out beautifully:) I love this salon!!
