I came here on recommendation from a friend. "Tiffany" was recommended and she did not disappoint. She talked with me and asked (and listened) about what I want, dont want, how much fuss Im willing to put into my hair on a daily basis. She gave me a cut that was perfectly suited to my hair type and the shape of my face, which, makes a big difference between a good haircut and a *great* haircut! The salon itself is eclectic yet nice. Industrial and funky with a really open feel. Youll be greeted by one person, shampooed by another, then cut by someone else. Its a pretty safe bet it will be a young woman with lots of body art/piercings. If you are not put off by these things and you want a really great cut, COME HERE. No big pushy sales pitch about product at the end either. Suggestions were made and I did buy a small container of styling goo, but didnt feel "sold" to in any way. Ive called and made another (way overdue) appointment. Its three weeks out, but Im convinced what I get is worth the wait. Oh, about fifty bucks, out the door, (I have a lot of hair) and worth EVERY PENNY.

Im not a person who gives reviews but feel compelled to write about my experience. First the pros: Very friendly staff and stylist, nice salon, very trendy and very busy! Ok, thats where is ends... I had researched this salon prior to making an appt. and know someone who goes here all the time and gets great haircuts.. I was excited to make an appt! So, my hair is long and fine and very dry since moving here a year ago from up North. I wanted an over all trim and we decided together to put some layers in it to give it some volume; not be so weighted down.. I explained how I wanted to get away from lots of product and heat styling Well, I got the exact opposite, I now have to wash, blow dry and curl my hair everyday to make it look decent. The cut is terrible. Choppy, uneven, does not fall into place at all. I have not received one comment about my hair and it is definitely noticeable that I had a haircut. I wear it up most of the time... I will not have my hair cut there again... I wish I could give you 5 stars because I really wanted to...

A week before my wedding I had gone to get my hair bleached at a "high quality salon", which really turned out to mean High Cost and sucky customer service. The girl didnt listen to me and left roots that looked 4 weeks old AND there were streaks! I gave her a second chance and she screwed it up even worse! Luckily she didnt Fry my hair, so that was a blessing. But in tears and only 5 days till my wedding, my sister gave me the number to Alchemy and said I HAD to go there. Desperate, I told them what happened and they fit me in that day. Let me tell you...Tiffany is AWESOME! She was able to correct all the many, many mistakes of the other "hair stylist", she added beautiful tones to blend the streaks and made the yellow blonde more light and natural looking. I had two appointments so as to not over process my hair, and let me tell you...I have a new hair stylist. She cut my hair the day after my wedding and again...Gorgeous!

Im not going to lie, a couple months ago I got the worst hair cut of my life by the owner. I had to come back in to get it "fixed", but even when I went to a different salon around 2 months later to get my haircut again the stylist held up a mirror and pointed out how bad it was still screwed up in the back. I literally did not even tell this guy a single word about the last experience I had and he looked through my hair before starting the wash and asked "Who the hell cut your hair last time?" He wasnt trying to be rude at all, it was just that screwed up looking. Honestly, Ive had some bad hair cuts other times and a color job that really screwed me but this tops it all. If I could give the salon a negative 100 rating I would. Everything about my experience from the horrible customer service to the haircut and the lack of professionalism in the salon just made this probably my all time worst hair experience.

I am devastated—The stylists here are the best I love them all, they all make me look awesome, they go out of their way every time, I have payed up to $70 a haircut here and then some more for other services and I feel like it was worth every penny. BUT, I will not be coming back here again, I have had a horrible experience with the receptionist today, and a few weeks ago also over a simple fact that when I made the appointment NO ONE told me that there is a $38 can CANCELLATION FEE (not posted on their site). And she said she would waive the fee because no one had told me and I cancelled the day after I made it before they could even call me to remind me. TODAY I called and the receptionist said I had to pay it. This is so sad, that an awesome place like this were I go and my friends go has a receptionist like this. I am very sad because these stylists are simply the best.

I must admit that the bad reviews on here almost dissuaded me from getting a haircut at Alchemy. I am so glad that I went anyways! Absolutely awesome service and a picture perfect haircut. The hair in the photo I brought in had different texture from my natural hair so my stylist tailored the haircut to accentuate my natural texture and features. The music, the art, the landscaping, the decorum of the staff, the style, the designs were all perfectly interwoven to (by all means) alchemically enhance the salon experience from dull and common to fun, edgy, and modern. Most definitely recommended if you are tired of just getting hair trims. I cannot recommend them enough!! Go and have your own experience!

Absolutely love this salon. When I moved to Orlando I went through a few salons that didnt really fit me before I found Alchemy. Im pretty timid and have a simple natural style. I chose to make an appt. with Bailey and she fits me perfectly. Shes very soft spoken and listens to every word. After a few appointments I scheduled a color appt with her. She totally blew me away. It was exactly what I wanted and matched my style perfectly, and beautifully done. Shes brilliant and so is this salon. I will visit again and again. Also, if youre there for a few hours getting color, or even just a hair cut, you will be more than comfortable. They take great pride in making their guests comfortable and it shows.

I have never been happier with a hair salon. I have been searching for a good stylist in Orlando for years. Everyone fried my blond hair. Alchemy has a unique staff of talent. They work together, and provide the best experience. I couldnt have dreamed of a better hairstyle. They achieved what I wanted without much talk. By the time I got to them, I had given up on getting what I want with my hair. They went above and beyond with the work. I absolutely love the natural look they gave me. Most hair stylist dont seem to understand a natural look anymore. They do. They provide dimension, depth, and they dont fry hair. I am in love with Alchemy Hair.
