Today I had funeral services for my grandfather, Eli. He died at 11 p.m. on a Monday night, and I did not have a funeral home picked out. I read some of the negative reviews about this place and figured it was "hate" reviews just by the way they were written... so in the midst of my shock, I decided to take a chance on Collison Family FH. Im glad I did. From the moment I called them at 2:00 a.m., they had a very jovial and polite man come with a very clean van and appropriate gurney to pick up my grandpas body from his bed. There was NO BAG or frightening sterile looking materials... the nice man simply placed his body on the gurney and used a sheet and very nice blanket to cover his body and treated him like he was a patient going to the hospital! I was so relieved! Next, I spoke with Collison the following morning, and my family and I met with Gerald to plan his funeral that day, including flying his casket to Tennessee where he will be placed in his mausoleum. Our funeral director was very polite, sensitive, knowledgeable, and gave us lots of "heads up" on what to expect for Elis journey to Tennessee. Gerald provided many options for us to choose and helped us understand what we needed to complete the funeral. VERY HELPFUL... next, my Pops looked very nice. He did not smell like embalming fluid like some people have at other funeral homes. The facility is super clean... no odd smells or mold, with very nice people who work there, especially the ladies. So, whatever any other reviews said about people being rude was just no so. They allowed us to bring in our own A/V equipment in addition to the great A/V that they offer, and they accommodated every single request. I highly recommend this funeral home. R.I.P. Eli (Pops)

I am not sure where to begin. This is my and my familys very first experience dealing with a funeral home. We were blind sided with the death of our loved one, so having to make arrangements was definitely a very hard and last minute process. Although this was out first experience, I knew as soon as I walked into this Funeral Home that is wasnt a good idea. Its not about the location, the place or how its decorated, its about the staff that works here. Obviously having to deal with death on a day to day basis would have to tiring in it self but you choose to have the job and should do at the best of your ability. They are very cold, and do not seem to have any kind of sympathy or regards to family members or the deceased. Greg, has to the most DISGUSTING individual I have ever talked to or came across in my life! He has such an attitude when talking to him, he is very defensive for no reason and he will not answer any questions appropriately or let anyone else have a word. God forbid I ever have to do this again, I WILL NEVER COME HERE!

This was my first experience being involved in arranging for a funeral. They explained all our options and were very patient with the many questions we had. They were also responsive in returning phone calls promptly. The location is very nice and well-maintained. I would feel very confident in referring others to this funeral home.

unbelievable this funeral home is a rip off. they tell you one price on the phone then add a bunch of bogus charges once they have your loved ones body. go to any other funeral home besides this one.

They were helpful and very accommodating - met with us after hours twice. Also the funeral was exactly what we wanted and surprisingly more affordable than I thought it would be.
