I took my van in for an oil change and as part of the courtesy check-up I was told I needed front and rear brakes (pads and shoes) and rotors (I already knew my brakes were in bad shape so this was believable). I asked if the rotors could be resurfaced and was told no, they needed replaced. I was quoted a price of $618 for the total job. I told them that I have a warranty on my brakes from Midas and then they said they might be able to do it cheaper and they would check around and get back to me if I wanted so I said sure. In the meantime I called Midas to ask how much they charge to replace the front and rear brakes (pads and shoes) and rotors and Midas asked if they even looked at the brakes because I dont have rotors on the back - I have drums and they said I should bring it in to have it looked at. Midas said it would be around $450. Then Expert Car Care called me back and said they could get the price down to $520 with a 1 year warranty on parts & labor. I said I didnt want to get it done. So today I took my car to Midas (where I have gone for years and have the lifetime warranty on the shoes and pads) and Midas told me the back was perfect, they only needed to replace the front pads, shoes & rotors. So I got that done for $265 and just called the manager at Expert Car Care and told him that I didnt appreciate being lied to and that Im never going back there again and the manager looked up my info in the system and said the technician had only recommended front brakes & rotors so I gave the manager the name of the person I had spoken to (the one who lied to me) and the manager said he would talk to him. I dont know if I was lied to because Im a female or what but Ill NEVER go back there again since I cant trust them now. Midas on Orange Avenue near Michigan is AWESOME!

AVOID THIS PLACE - SCAM!!! I took my car in for a routine oil change & tire rotation. After 4 hours they call me back to say I need over $400 in services on my car! One of the services they mentioned a transmission flush - I had done recently at another oil change center. They also told me I needed a new battery among other things. I said I was not interested in doing any other services and would come pick up the car. When I get there my boyfriend points out that they did not rotate my tires. When we inquire about this, the guy gives us some mumbo jumbo that my tires were in the best position and they did not rotate them for safety reasons and that some people get real picky about that. He never mentioned on the phone that tires were not rotated and the receipt had it listed as a service I received. The he later adds if I decide to have them rotated; they would do it for free. So I tell them to rotate the tires and I would come back in the 20 min time frame he gave me. He calls an hour later and tells me he has bad news; my cars battery had died and they had to jump it to get it into the bay! I tell him I dont want them to replace the battery. So when I get there I receive my car with a totally run down battery. My boyfriend jumps it, while the mechanics totally ignore us. We take it to Discount Auto Parts they install a new battery. My day started at 1 with a simple oil change and ended at 8 with unrotated tires, a dead battery ( I believe they drained it) and a $445 estimate for repairs. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

I WISH I COULD GIVE LESS THAN 1 STAR!!! DO NOT GO HERE!!! SCAM!!! My 2004 BMW 545i gave a transmission malfunction error! We took it to Expert Car Care, while they reassured us they can fix SMG related issues. Well they took the transmission apart, found out the car needed a $2400 flywheel, a $750 clutch, 4 new tires, 2 shocks and a whole lot of other stuff... They first said $6400 to fix the car.... 1 month in, the estimate rose to $10,000, 4 MONTHS later it rose to $16,000..... Then the transmission made a rattling noise so we took it back to find out it needed another $1000! They had the car for a total of 5 MONTHS to fix a transmission!!! In the end the car had to go back to Fields BMW because it had the same error come back... Fields now wants $3000 to fix the wiring that they claimed they "fixed". Now they claim "No responsibility"!!! We also had our Callaway Corvette taken to them and after $800 the same sputtering issue was still there. Finally we got it towed out of their junkyard to come to find this two owner original Vette ruined, full of scratches and filthy as ever!!!!!!!!!! Dont like seeing "big james". All of these good reviews are written by employees and owners children. If you have a junky car, take it to them. If you have a nice car that you actually care about, PLEASE DO NOT TAKE IT TO EXPERT DUMP CARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THE ONLY PLACE I WILL BRING MY CAR. I have taken my Nissan to Southerlin Nissan and got Quoted $1,4500$!!! When I took it to expert Car care The owner and his son both told me that they could get me the same part I needed brand new for only a couple hundred bucks! They fixed it in ONE day and got my car back and running after it was broken for 7 months and I took it to over TEN mechanics and no one ever fixed the problem. This is the only company you will ever find who will NOT rip you off and actually SAVE YOU MONEY! I even told them about how I was told that I also needed an oil change and they checked the oil and told me I was good to go for at least another 1,000 Miles! When they easily could have lied to me and took my money since they know I only get the most expensive oil. This place is amazing GREAT customer service and unlike any other mechanic in Central Florida THEY ACTUALLY KNOW THEIR STUFF!!!! I HIGHLY recommend them, you will not be disapointed.

Do not take your car to this facility unless you want to be overcharged for a poorly or non performed car repair. The posted cost for an 8 cylinder tune up is $209.99 and yet they charged me $280.00 only lowering it to $250 when I complained (saying there was extra time, blah, blah, blah). The Check Engine Light on the dashboard was not reset and then when I pointed it out, the repairman said: Nobody said anything to me about this...This does not mean you need a tune up, Id have to do a "diagnostic" to tell you what is wrong. So, they wanted me to pay MORE money to figure out what was wrong after they overcharged me for a service that didnt solve the problem in the first place. And they claim they have ASE Trained mechanics on staff...alot of good it did me. The entire experience was a disaster and you should be prepared for the same if you choose to take your vehicle there. I wholeheartedly encourage you to avoid this place.
