Yesterday, October 21,2016, my daughter went in to get a haircut. She has a stylist at home but she is in college in Athens. Her stylist at this salon was Jessica. My daughter has very thick curly hair. We have been fighting this battle for 20 years. So she knows what needs to be done when she goes in to get a cut. She likes to have it cut dry because when it is cut wet it is always shorter than she wants. My hair is curly too and I am the same. Jessica was so rude to my daughter and made her feel as if her hair was gross! She told her she had to wash it and dry it. She then proceeded to tell her that her hair was frizzy because she gets it thinned out. My daughter did not speak up because she felt intimidated by Jessica. $47.00 later my daughter feels like she did not get a cut at all. In my job I teach customer service so I felt that the manager, Kathy, would like to be aware of this situation. I called and asked to speak to the manager and the receptionist said that she was busy with clients all day and didnt know if she would be able to talk to me. I left my number and wanted to give her until the end of the day to call. Never heard from her or anyone else. So disappointed that she did not call me back but not surprised because I figured she would not! No stars for this salon!

I had been abusing myself for the sake of the convenience of walking in and having a mani-pedi. Finally exhausted from having my cuticles bleed, my toe nails not clipped short enough and from the constant chatter in a foreign language (always makes me feel like they might be talking about me), the masks and the constant question, "When was the last time you had your nails done?", I called Arbor. Today I met my new manicurist, Beta. She is from Brazil and she is AWESOME! She gave me the mani-pedi I used to get in Brooklyn, NY. Nuff said! She performed a small miracle. Thank goodness! The highlight of my time at Arbor was the atmosphere. It is quite and calm, everyone smiles and greets you. But the absolute best was having a conversation about concón. And yes I am eating rice and beans for lunch! :) Give Arbor a try, you wont be disappointed, mauled or talked about poorly.

Arbor Salon & Spa is absolutely wonderful. I had never been there before and didnt quite know what to expect. I walked in and was greeted with a smile; the atmosphere was so welcoming! Braeden was great and offered me something to drink! I have never been to such a comfortable and friendly environment while getting my hair cut. Cassie was amazing, she cut my hair EXACTLY how I asked her to and was super sweet. She also offered me something to drink when I sat in her chair. I also got to meet the owner, Mike. He is great! Then later I got a tour of the place. It was absolutely wonderful and I will definitely be going there from now on.

Hands down the worst salon experience I have ever had! I asked for chestnut brown hair with purple panels underneath. I got super dark brown hair with green pieces all over! How the hell you get green from purple I have no idea!!! To make matters worse I allowed another stylist to attempt to correct the color :(((( This time I ended up with black hair and blue gray bits for the bargain price of $143. Just to add insult to injury, the owner promised to call me the next day to make sure I came out alright, I havent heard the first word out of her. Overall this has to be the worst salon from top to bottom in the Athens area.

Ive been in Athens for years and I have FINALLY found the place to go. The staff is excellent as well as the atmosphere. Relaxing just the way a spa treatment should go. I got my first Shellac manicure done by Cory which turned out beautiful! She is super sweet and fun to talk to. I dont normally like to get a manicure just because I feel I spend a lot of money just to have the polish chip immediately. Been over 24 hours and a lot of dishwashing and the manicure still looks great. Recommend to any and everyone. You will not be disappointed. Wont be going any where else as long as Im in Athens :)

I recently started going to Arbor Salon and Spa to get my hair colored and cut. My first experience was amazing and I wanted to always go back to this salon to work with JD or Jamie as some called her. Sadly she moved and I went back with another colorist. My new colorist was very sweet but did not do as good of a job as my previous colorist. On top of that she charged me an additional twenty dollars than JD. My mother was not very happy with the Color or how much we paid to have it done. I will probably not go back here as my mother was very upset with the service I received yesterday.

I had an appointment at 530 with Jon Eric at 630 he still wasnt ready to take me back for my color. I had this appointment scheduled for over a month and instead of offering to have someone else do my hair they just let me sit there. When I got up to leave and they knew they had pissed me off I told the receptionist I was mad and she said ok have a good day as Im walking out the door!!!!! My daughter and I both went to this salon we wont be going back!!!! If you value your time go somewhere else!!!! Now o have to go out of town without having my hair done and Im beyond angry!!!!!

Great waxing and hair services! I have been going to arbor for 2 years to see Debbie for a Brazilian. Every time I arrive at the salon, I am greeted with very welcoming smiling employees. The atmosphere is beautiful and services are great. The owner is usually there and always thanks me for coming. Debbie has a lot of experience, and you can definitely trust her for your waxing needs, especially if it is your first time. I have gotten my hair done by Cassie and Shauna, and massage from Micki, and highly recommend them all.

Arbor Salon & Spa was amazing. The atmosphere was welcoming. As soon as I walked in the door I was greeted by smiling faces. All of the employees were happy and having a good time. I was immediately offered something to drink and directed where to go. My prenatal massage was well worth every penny. The prices were some of the best in town. The owner came up to me personally to ask how my visit was. I will go back and would recommend others to do the same.

Ari is definitely my new stylist. Shes amazing! She talked about the cut before doing anything and made sure she knew what I wanted for my hair. Then she massaged my scalp and washed my hair; I felt like an absolute goddess. She cut it exactly the way I wanted it and then styled it so beautifully! Im currently on day 3 of the blow dry she did, and it still looks amazing. My hair has never looked more beautiful than when she got her hands in it.
