Cathy and the team at Avalon made my April 2013 wedding a huge success. Our venue was the beautiful home of a family friend and while they had hosted large parties and a few small weddings, theyd never done anything there quite as large as our 140 person wedding. Cathy met us at the house several times throughout the planning process to discuss the logistics and flow of the day and her expertise was invaluable to my low stress level. She went above and beyond to answer questions and provide insight in how to make the day perfect. The food was unbelievable. We had three passed hors doeuvres (two kinds of bruschetta, a crispy shrimp filet with avocado salsa and, my personal favorite, a crispy panchetta topped with goat cheese, fig and balsamic reduction) and served dinner family style. The service throughout the evening was perfect, it was so fun watching the caterers bring out the plates of food and seeing my guests faces light up when they saw the meal. For dinner we had a delicious seasonal salad with fresh peas, radishes, panko breadcrumbs and a tasty buttermilk dressing. The salad was super fresh, crisp and the perfect temperature. Following the salad we had a grilled chicken breast wrapped in proscuitto and a halibut with a tomato buerre blanc sauce that my sister in law wanted to drink straight out of the bowl. For side dishes we had grilled fresh veggies, roasted potatoes and Carolina Gold risotto. Everything was cooked perfectly and served at the right temperature. Her staff also bar-tended for us at the event and they did a fantastic job. Everyone was friendly and helpful. It gave me great piece of mind knowing the Avalon staff was taking care of things. Everything went smoothly and I would highly recommend them to anyone planning an event.

When I first started looking for a caterer for my sisters North Georgia farm-to-table wedding dinner, instead of contacting caterers, I reached out to Atlanta chefs and restaurants known for their commitment to flavor, execution and sourcing because I doubted that a catering company would have the same attention to detail and commitment to excellence. Ive worked with enough caterers in the past and suffered through enough rubber chicken dinners to have a healthy distrust of catering companies. My standards are extremely high. However, I could not be more impressed with Avalon Catering. Its one thing to prepare a delicious, perfectly cooked meal that really lets the quality of the ingredients shine. (We had guests demanding that the chef come out of the kitchen so they could grill him on his preparation of our phenomenal skirt steak.) However, its quite another to execute someone elses very specific vision of an event as a whole. Avalon "gets it." I will recommend them to everyone I know, and they will be my automatic go-to for any future events.

Avalon Catering is simply the BEST! From out of town, I planned my sons 30th birthday party, and Avalon made it so easy: their staff was always accessible and quickly responsive; they created an amazingly delicious buffet menu (including a variety of items to satisfy vegetarian guests); suggested a wonderful company to provide rental items; and coordinated their presentation items to complement my son and daughter-in-laws home decor -- which they had not even seen yet! Furthermore, on the day of the event, Avalon surpassed my highest expectations. The food was mouth-wateringly delicious and their presentation was beautiful. Most important, Charles and his team of seasoned professionals executed the event in a seamless fashion, helping in a variety of ways, both seen and unseen. In the words of my son: Best birthday party EVER. Thank you, Avalon, for making it so memorable!

Cathy and Avalon Catering handled my wedding in June of 2011. They were wonderful to work with, and Cathys welcoming bubbly personality was even more wonderful! She was very on-board with all the ideas we had, and came up with a catering presentation that matched perfectly. Avalon made an immediate impression at our first meeting with the most incredible sampling of food. My parents, who both have worked in the food industry for their careers, were very impressed. We could tell the food was far superior, but also, the prices were competitive with all of the area caterers. All of my guests still rave about the quality of the food, which was very important to me. Of course, Ill never remarry (love you, husband), but if I did, I would skip the shopping around and go straight for Avalon!

I would highly recommend Avalon Catering! My daughter and I used them for her wedding at Kimball Hall in Roswell in May. Avalon is one of Kimball Halls preferred vendors. Every month Kimball Hall holds an Open House for brides-to-be where the vendors showcase their particular specialty. Every month Avalons food was excellent! They worked with us to plan the perfect menu and were very accommodating. The food at the wedding couldnt have been better. Their beef brisket is so tender and delicious you can cut it with a fork. The collard greens are delicious as well. They served mouth-watering appetizers while we were taking pictures. Everyone at the reception raved about the food. They are wonderful to work with and their food delicious. What more could you ask for?

From the first phone call I made to Avalon to the last dish washed at our party, Avalons service was perfect. Laura was my main point of contact until the night of the party when Carolyn was the lead service member. They were wonderful and the food was delicious. They quoted in a timely fashion, checked-in between the time of contract and date of event, re-confirmed everything was still correct, showed up on time the night of the event, and took everything from there. I could not be happier with their service. I HIGHLY recommend Avalon Catering for any event. Ours was for 75 people and we had more than enough. They definitely created an unforgettable experience. Avalon Catering prepared the food for my recent wedding in North Georgia. Both my husband and I really only have one major, serious regret from our wedding - and that is that we did not get to eat more! There have been several times while looking at pictures of food from the day, that I have practically started drooling. Avalon captured the mood I wanted to set for the day with their food perfectly. The food was truly amazing. Every element of the meal was delicious and hot and the wait staff was extremely courteous. I would recommend Avalon Catering to anyone wanting to host an event in the region.

Excellent everywhere! Avalon catered our wedding. The food was delicious. When I saw people after the wedding, the very first comment they made was how fabulous the food was. The staff was wonderful at all times in planning the wedding and during the wedding itself. They provided all decorations -- beautiful flowers and candles. The table decorations were gorgeous, including tables for the gifts and place cards. We did not have a wedding coordinator, as Avalon, in conjunction with our DJ, kept the wedding flow going. They are wonderful!

We got married on July 11, at the Chattahoochee Nature Center and Avalon did the catering and they did an amazing job. We had 128 guest and every last one of them raved about how good the food was and how the hors devours keep coming, while we were taking pictures. Oh yea did I mention that the venue did not have a full kitchen. Depending on the menu you choose, the food may seem pricey but your paying for excellent!!! Trust me it is well worth it. I would highly recommend Avalon Catering to anyone having a special event, especially a wedding.
