Mrs. Reyes is the Owner of the Salon, and also my stylist. When I first came to her 2 years ago, I was excited to finally find a Dominican stylist. My husband and I both have our hair styled here, and hes Irish. He loves the layers that she is able to give him even though his hair is always cut extremely short. For the really picky client, understand completely if you arrive to the shop with your hair in shambles, and your hair is use to Hot Irons, and Bevels; it will take roughly 3 visits before your hair adapts to Dominican Methods. My hair was fierce, and honestly my hair looked wonderful when I left, but 24 hours later my sides in the front and kitchen area was not good and fuzzy. Of course, I complained and after the 3rd visit, my hair actually adapted to the methods and Ive been hooked. Having stylist here work on your hair, you know you have individuals who really truly care about the health of your hair. My hair is beautiful, and very long, and I am not alone. Majority of the cleints that arrive to the shop all have long tresses that are healthy and reflect the love and care Dominican Touch puts in our hair. And no we do not all look alike, these ladies really know how to layer, frost, color, and really trim not cut. For a women of color all these techniques all wrapped up in Dominican Stylist, and I actually havent gone bald ever! Just last week, my husbands neice came to visit and I could see she was not to sure about having her hair done at Dominican Touch, her Mom even called concerned; we are of two completely different ethic backgrounds, but I had no worries and assured her she shouldnt. Well she left out tossing her hair around like a school girl, happy, and educated on understanding that her hair needs conditioning sometime. If anyone has ever dreamed of having a real professional to care for their hair, no matter what type of day your stylist is having; and what hair type you have; everyone leaves the shop with healthier hair . And fortunate for me long, beautiful, and healthy; which I am certain Mrs Reyes following can state the same. We are moving late next year, and I feel like I am going to loose family and cant even imagine what going to happen to my hair. If you have had the run around like I have in the past with finding a hair salon, amazing products, and that right stylist team for you Dominican Touch Hair Studio is like alot of money in the Bank, and alot of amazing hair still in your head. I know this may sound cheesy, but its all true.

I have be "going to the dominicans" since 2009...i have 100% natural hair...so i am VERY familiar with dominican salons ...This place and this woman is a FRAUD!!! This is not what you think a dominican salon to be... Theres one woman and her daughter....There arent numerous professional stylist on board... This is just some bootleg, backyard, "kitchen-tician" type of set up...its all the way up on buford hwy, not really convenient to anything.... Theres no receptionist, just the owner and her daughter trying to manage appointments off the top of their heads....she doesnt know whos walking thru the door..she thinks everyone is someone else that has previously called...The salon is clean , but ill equipped and under, improperly staffed... and true dominican salons are NOTORIOUS for their straightening process....she does plain blow outs with some really powerful flat irons...so ur hair is str8 for about an hour before youre back to fluffy, puffy, wooly hair again....IT DOES NOT LAST!!!! Mine was back puffy by the time I left the shop and got home. KEEP IN MIND....IT WAS MY BIRTHDAY (it was completely ruined Needless to say)... When i called the next day to tell the owner (cruz) about this, her daughter just answered and said she was unavailable and call back...When i did, i never got an answer or a call back... Really bad customer service. ..dont waste your time...sorry i wasted mine...will be calling bank and stopping payment and refuting charges ASAP...TABITHA NEEDS TO DO A SALON TAKEOVER IMMEDIATELY!!!!!!!!

I am 29 and only had a relaxer once when i turned 18 (big mistake). However, i have a very good grade of hair. its curly and i usually wear it in a pony tail or just out (natural). its been years since ive been to a salon and i loved my experience! Cruz (the owner) did my hair, i had a deep condition and a trim (not a cut). my hair usually frizzs right away but its been almost 24 hours and its still just as straight and shiny and bouncy. I am not sure why Ava said they are not certified, they were putting color in another clients hair when i was there so they have to be certified to do that. Anyway, I will be going too them every 10-14 days until my air is re-trained to lay straight. It looks sooooo PRETTY! i got a lot of compliments on it. I didnt think it was expensive, it was $55 for was, deep condition and trim and style. im from NY and use to have Dominicans do my hair on a regular! If the price is whats going to keep you away, good luck. You get what u pay for. So if ur budget is $25 every 2 weeks, i wish you the best, but if you have a few extra dollars, go visit them.... you will be SOOOOO happy you did!

I went to Dominican Touch a month ago and hated it. At first when I when I walked in it wasnt very clean but I gave it a benefit of doubt....I like the fact that they put roller in my hair but when it came to styling...the daughter just blow it out and didnt style it with any technique. My hair looked dry and dull but when I told her I wasnt happy, she then pressed my hair with flat irons and burned me (I guess she was mad plus I have a pic from the scar it left in my head). Then she had the nerve to ask me to put the part in my hair and comb it how I would like it. (I didnt pay you for me to do my own hair) Finally, she was done with my hair, left the chair and went to the back, I looked was looking aroung for like 10 mins trying to figure out who I was suppose to pay. My hair had no body and I was ready to put my hair back in a ponytail....The owner charged me $35...$10 less then what was the orginial price... I paid because I know business but I had to wash my hair two days later because my hair was weighted down so much. I have never had an experience like this ever and I do not recommend at all!!!!!!!!!!!

This was my second time at Dominican Touch. I had a relaxer and the best blow out ever(straight hair). I came with my hair very nappy and I wish you guys could see it. I got there at 3 PM last Saturday and I came out almost at 7pm but was worth the time. I love that they took the time with me. They are very professional and speak English. I also got a $10 deep conditioning this time for extra shine and smoothness. Its great! The first time was really good also, but I didnt get the relaxer and I got the regular conditioning which came included in the wash and set. The price is not that bad but is not the cheapest because they used the best product in my hair. The lady who did my hair Cruz also showed me how to do my own duby wrap so my hair stays nice for a longer period of time. I highly recommend this place! Oh and great location right off the spaghetti junction and I285.
