The worst salon I have ever been too!!! They pride themselves as the bayalage "queens". i made an appointment with Anthony, I showed him pictures of my hair before and what I was trying to achieve. I have gotten bayalage done many times before. The entire time my scalp was burning and he kept telling me it was because I had a dry scalp! Then once i was washed my whole crown of re head was bright orange and yellow while my hair was still wet!!! He tried to reassure me will look different once dried. Boy was he wrong. Another girl came to help him blow dry and she asked him what color he used , once he told her she looked in the mirror scared and asked him "for bayalage you used that!?" I knew I was in trouble. He also lied to me saying he has been working and doing hair there for 5 years, he graduated 6 months ago!!! Asked for a haircut also and he had no idea what he was doing and didnt give me layers or anything . He completely ruined my beautiful hair and tried to blame it on me. The salon tried to do their best and put me in another girls chair to try to fix it she helped a little but my hair was/ and still is crunchy, fried and ruined. Few days later the owner called me and insisted she have a look at my hair. When I agreed (after 7 or 8 phone calls of begging) she said it was an easy fix with just another haircut. Candy is the owner and worked very fast and cut my hair even shorter after she said adding layers wont shorten the length. I also requested no short face framing pieces, she went ahead and started at my cheek and now jsut have pieces laying there. My hair is still crunchy and fried!!!! She compt my haircut and said any other services I would be charged for!? Unreal. Please save yourselfs and do NOT fall for a name brand salon!!!

I just moved back to Atlanta after being gone over 10 years. A friend of mine recommended I go to Jamison Shaw and ask for Wyatt McIntyre to do my hair. I was extremely pleasantly surprised at the whole experience. I am a natural blonde but hair has become darker with each year. I usually get a partial highlight but when I told Wyatt that, he said "We look at you and do whatever it takes to make it beautiful". So, I was nervous when he suggested a Balayage, but just went with it. The outcome was FANTASTIC. Never has my hair looked more natural but "popped" more to bring out my face. Wyatt was great...he is so friendly and easy to be around. He really cares about his clients. Once the balayage was complete, we looked at it together and decided on a few tweaks which he was happy to do and go the extra mile to make it perfect. Also, I havent had a really good cut in years. Ive gone to salons and paid hundreds of dollars to just get home and the cut never looks like it should. Wyatt really put time in analyzing what he thought we should do and listened to exactly what I was wanting and it turned out beautiful. THANK YOU SO MUCH WYATT. Cant say enough wonderful things about how happy I was with the color and cut. The staff is so friendly there as well...they make sure you are always taken care of and really cater to your comfort. I usually dont take time to write reviews but I thought that JS and Wyatt were so extraordinary, I had to do it this time. Oh also, very reasonably priced. couldnt be happier.

I recently attended one of their highlighting classes priced at $40 sessions. Needless to say I get the register and the lady tells me $95. I explained the manager that this was never mentioned to me for all these additional services. She tells me that my stylist should have went over it with you - which she didnt. Then she says well it was on the paper that I handed you. I said you mean the one you told me to hand to the hair stylist- which I never even looked at just thinking it had my name and the stylist name I was going to. Nevertheless, I told her I was only paying $40 because thats what I was told and then she threatened me and band me from every going to Jamison Shaw. Ive never been banned from anywhere and to receive that kind of customer service I was astonished coming from the place owned by a wonderful super sweet Candy Shaw. There have been times I have come out from a fully paid haircut and I havent been totally satisfied but I just normally go with a flow thinking of its just not the way Im use to styling my hair and I adjust to it but this, this was the last straw. I dont normally care to write about these things because I just dont have the time to do it but with this one I definitely made the time because I was livid on how they treated me. In the end I am telling everyone this just be aware because apparently the manager says she has a script that they are to say when they call to confirm the appointment- note I never got a call nor did they leave a voice message and I checked!! BE AWARE!!!

I was a repeat customer here because of Jennifer who used to make my hair look like silk. I am a woman of color and I have natural hair. Most Caucasian salons are afraid of our hair which is why I always ask if there is someone available who can handle it. Well Jennifer no longer works there so I decided to give them a chance to carry on with my hair. I scheduled an appointment for this morning for a simple blow dry/flat iron and trimming. I mentioned that other services may be needed and a consultation might be necessary for those. I get there this morning after driving about 45 minutes and Lily, my stylist, told me that I was only scheduled for a consultation and that she did not have enough time to do more hair because she had another appointment coming in ten minutes. I just sat in the seat! I like to give people that benefit of the doubt but this was ridiculous. She followed up by telling me she was booked all week and that maybe someone else could do my hair, then she suggested that I speak to the front desk. I just left because I literally felt like I was going to get irate. Im 9 months pregnant and tired... I just wanted to get my hair done. Wheres Jennifer???

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! I had an appointment for a haircut with Anthony.I was 10 min late because I ran into an unexpected traffic due to some road accident. However I was not taken in for the appointment because I was late. Anthony told me that he had just 30 min for me and he cannot do the work in that time. Even after this I requested him to see if he could arrange something for the day. I was willing to wait for another hour to see if any other hairdresser was available but he told me that nothing could be done for the day. His behavior was rude and unapologetic. I have always been on time for all my appointments at Jamison. When I am on time, they make me wait for 10-15 min everytime because the hairdresser is busy with some work or some other customer. I never complained. But if I am late for one appointment, I am not accommodated at all?! Where is the consideration if you cannot allow a margin of 10 min. They pride themselves at excellent customer service and going up and beyond for their customers. I did not see any of it. I am very disappointed with my experience and I will never again visit or refer Jamison Shaw .
