While the stylists are indeed artists and love their work, I dont believe my color was worth $275. Very nice haircut but there really wasnt that much of a difference in my hair. After 1 wash, my freshened-up balayage turned brassy and orange and made me hardly regret paying that much. It was very disappointing because I had to go out to a store and tone it myself in order for it to look less orange. The image is after I washed it for the first time. Keep in mind that I use organic, sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner. Other that, the high light placement is good but still wasnt worth paying that much if it just washed right out. Im very sad. UPDATE: They called me back to follow up after seeing my review. Basically they stated that the toners are only meant to last a few days and need Aveda products to maintain. After 1 wash, this should not have happened. I was told to use purple shampoo about once a week if I wanted to keep it fresh and bright. I color my hair and tone myself and never have these results that wash out completely after 1 wash. After months of contemplating getting my hair done professionally, Ive come to the conclusion that I will just continue to do my hair myself.

My family and I own a shop in the same shopping center in Sandy Springs. When we saw that Joseph & Friends was coming I was so excited and hoped that it would be a convenient place I would enjoy having my hair cut. When they first opened I met Brittany and she did a great job with my hair. I have rather difficult hair to cut. Its thick and has a mind of its own. For more than a year Ive had Brittany doing my hair and for the first time in my life shes been able to get my hair to do more than the ONE style ive done my whole life. I was cheated in the eyelash / eyebrow department also... they are clear. Brittany not only does my hair but does a fantastic job of tinting my eyebrows and eyelashes to a perfect match that really makes me feel good about myself. I love this one stop shop so convenient to my work. I consistently recommend Brittany and the team at Joseph & Friends to everyone.

Zad is terrific - a true style artist! He is always helpful at offering product and style suggestions and he gives a terrific head massage during the shampoo - new this time: a chair massage too! Zad has many, many years of experience and it is evident through his work! Only 4 stars because pricing is a little on the high end - but well worth the investment! They do have different levels of experience in their stylists and their pricing is scaled accordingly, so my husband, who doesnt have as much hair to be styled, also goes to this salon to visit one of the newer stylists for a bit less, which meets all of his needs. Joseph and Friends has several salons throughout the Atlanta area so the location is convenient!

I have been a guy who gets the $10 hair cut with a coupon in the mail my whole life. I went to Joseph and Friends about 8 months ago on a whim and havent looked back. I never experienced such wonderful service from beginning to end. I hadnt until that point ever noticed a difference in my hair and how that made me feel. As silly as that sounds, its true. I was so happy with what I experienced I have continued to go and see Lena every time I need a hair cut. Its always the way I like it, the service is always far above the minimum and what I expect, and am now a customer for life. Ive been recommending friends and will continue to send people to Lena at Joesph and Friends in Sandy Springs.

Lena Gaines is the absolute best hair stylist I have ever been too. She is different than most because she takes time to get to know your needs and what kind of style you want. She takes her time to give you the attention you deserve. In my opinion she should charge more for the excellent quality of service she provides. She goes above and beyond to make you feel special. My hair always looks amazing after I see Lena!! Love her!!!! The staff at Joesph and Friends are professional. I have been to several salons in the area and this place is by far the best!

I went to the Sandy Springs location. I went in with frizzy, overgrown hair and no idea what I wanted to do. When I first sat in the chair, Lena said "lets talk about your hair." We spent several minutes talking about what my hair needed and what she thought was best. She communicated effectively and did exactly what she said she was going to do. She also stopped at certain points and used a mirror to make sure I was comfortable with the progress. Im very happy with the result and will go back!

Wonderful salon! Lena Gaines was magical. She gave my long hair the perfect layers and I could tell that she LOVES doing what she does. The hair wash/scalp massage was so relaxing and I even walked out with a couple of samples. I finally found someone who understands my hairs "personality". She has a new loyal client!
