I wish I could give negative stars!! Everything was fine until I decided to go ahead and go with these guys! Brought my vehicle in on a Friday for a re-man tranny. Waited a til Tuesday to call back because I got no follow up calls on the progress of my truck. I was told it would take 2-3 days. Did not recieve a call at all within those days. They called me Thursday afternoon to tell me my truck was ready. I asked if they could do a tune up on it and I would pick it up later he said that was fine. Waited til 4:30p called back he said my truck wasnt ready I could pick it up in the morning. Waited to Friday morning called 3 times he said he could not tell me if my car was ready because he was with a customer. I live 5 mins away. I had my wife drive me up and I walk in and there was no customer in sight. I asked was my car ready. He said he didnt know smh. Still handset called me though. Went to go check. Waited 10 mins. He said it was ready. Paid for the vehicle and all. I go to get my truck open the door and my check engine light was flashing and my engine was running horribly! I told them the light was on Im not taking it like that because thats not how I dropped it off. The mechanic told me one of the guys in the office told him to give the car to me even though they knew the light was on. They let me pay for the my car and was going to hand it over to me unfinished!!! So I Left my car there to be fixed RIGHT! Come back Friday evening to pick it up. Runs fine.... Wake up Saturday morning for work...it wont start!!! They drained my battery working on the vehicle! They r not open on Saturdays so I had to get my car towed to a mechanic to replace the battery!!! After I just paid $2500 for service on my vehicle! They said it need a O2 sensor and said they wouldnt charge me...like they were doing me a favor smh. I will never in life take my car here again! This has been THEE WORST experience with an auto shop by far! read the comments DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE!

I wish I could give negative stars to rate this Aamco! I was quoted by Gus to rebuild a automatic transmission for a 2002 honda accord on 1/13/2016 at 8:30 am for $1100 . I received a call this morning 1/21/2016 around the same time, 8:30 am from Tyson who told me they wouldnt be able to build it for $1100 and to rebuild it it would cost approximately $2000. I explained to him my conversation with Gus the week prior and Tyson said "you dont know where you got that quote, you probably called around and heard it somewhere else." I asked to speak to Gus, Tyson told me no he was busy. I asked to speak to the manager Tyson again told me no. I was so upset I told him I wanted my transmission back and it was like he turned into this hateful mean person and he told me "pull around back, Ill throw it in your jeep." Throw it? By far the worst customer service in all of eternity came from this man. My transmission is in pieces. Parts missing for all I know. They lied to me and left me with pieces of my transmission in a open plastic bag. What am I going to do now? Shame on this company and their blatant lies, as well as refusing me to speak to the manager. Please dont take your car here. You will be lied to, mislead, and treated like dirt. This kind of business should not be allowed to run. At not attempt to make things better for me, please save your time and money on a business that values you as a person. This business is certainly not in that category. And for all I know they could have stolen parts of my transmission. These people are wrong. Just avoid them period.

I went there with a simple problem in March 2013. My 2001 Chevy truck was throwing a P1870 code, a common problem for this vehicle. That was the ONLY problem with it. I left it there a week and Gus told me they were putting a "shift kit" in it. I picked it up and it would not shift passed second gear, clearly not how I brought it in. I took it back and he gave me the runaround for days. I called him and told him not to do anything else to it and that I was picking it up. When I went to pick it up, he said they were putting the original parts in. What??? He then went back to "stop the process" and when I asked him to give the parts that came out of it, he gave me a spring and a valve. Hmmm.... I then took it to a real transmission shop who had to rebuild it because the 3 and 4 gears were burned out. I went back to talk to AAAMCO and they informed me that the change in pressure had caused the 3 and 4 gears to "finally go". Fishy.... Be warned. Do not go to AAMCO!

Dan has been servicing our Odyssey for years, and I call him my "car counselor." :) He is not only incredibly knowledgeable, he is absolutely trustworthy and honest. I dont have a single hesitation in recommending this Aamco to anyone looking for reputable help. I dont know the first thing about cars, which has always made me feel vulnerable when it comes to car repairs, but Im grateful to say that I dont worry about being taken advantage of AT ALL here. Before we landed here we had plenty of bad experiences, so I know how very frustrating that is. Its a helpless feeling. So... my advice is, dont waste your time looking around anywhere else. Youll find skilled help, trustworthy diagnoses, fair prices (better than fair, if you ask me... and I have had plenty of work done on my old van!) and NICE PEOPLE over here - and I believe that still counts for something in this world!

Excellent Service!!! Our Nissan Xterras check engine light came on so we became a first time customer of Aamco in Canton. Through the years we have had several bad experiences at other shops and started going back to our dealership. However, due to high prices we thankfully gave Ammco a try and could not be happier. The staff went above and beyond our expectations figuring out what exactly the problem was with the car & kept us informed throughout. The staff was friendly and welcoming and Tim made us feel confident in fixing the problems without worrying if it may cost us an arm and a leg. In an industry that can be hit or miss upon being a 1st time customer, they hit this one out of the park. Thank you to everyone at Aamco Transmissions in Canton, top notch service.

We were having problems with the transmission in our 07 Ford Edge. We took it to our trusted local mechanic who recommended we take it to Aamco transmission. They said we needed a new transmission and gave us a price on a rebuilt transmission. The price was very competitive(much better than the dealer) with a very good warranty. The work was done very quickly and no surprises on the quote. Clara kept us informed on the progress and the transmission has performed great so far. It has been a couple of months so we are very satisfied.
