After spending about $700 dollars at Davis Clay in the last year on haircuts, products, tips, jewelery and gift items, and after having many great experiences in which I was a repeat customer, I was asked to leave and never come back. Upon return to the salon to have a less than perfect haircut fixed by another stylist, I was treated really nicely by my stylist Valena. (I ignored the fact that they took me to the station in the very back corner of the salon) At some... point, Valena was having trouble understanding what I wanted- a simple bob- so she went and got Melissa, I suppose she was the Manager? Melissa seemed angry- the way she was stomping her feet, manhandling me and speaking very loudly made me completely uncomfortable. I was literally shaking. I brought many pictures as I thought I was supposed to do and Melissa kept telling me that she has been a hairdresser for 28 years and didnt need to see any pics, and didnt need for me to tell her anything. I apologized many times for not being able to get my point across and thanked Valena for her time. I never even said one bad word about the stylist who had previously cut my hair. Upon leaving the salon, the owner came over, shook my hand and asked me to leave and never come back. I could have understood if I was loud or upset or mean, but even though I was dissatisfied, I never lost my cool. I suppose Davis Clay doesnt like to fix their mistakes???? I cried. It really hurt my feelings. I got a $100.00 gift certificate to Davis Clay for Christmas and Im not sure what is going to happen with that. Also, there was hinting that I just wanted a haircut for free, and yes, my last haircut was a free gift for my birthday, but I also tipped her $25.00... I dont understand. I think the way they treated me was completely unprofessional. Just beware.... if you get a bad haircut at Davis Clay, DON"T ASK THEM TO FIX IT!!!!! They will get mad at you and cause a big scene!!!!!

I know exactly how I wanted my hair cut and was driving an hour for the perfect cut, but wanted a salon close to home. After visiting 3 salons, I decided to go to D-Clay. I took a photo and was assigned a senior stylist - BETH. I have ethnic hair and was not expecting much in the styling area but I have great hair, very easy to manage but dont feel like anyone can style it to my liking but me. Beth informed me that the works (shampoo, cond, style) comes with the price - which was extremely reasonable so I went for it. She nailed the cut and the style. The cut is exactly as the photo - multi layered, textured, and sleek . (I already had the cut but it had grown out completely). I wanted to get a feel for her talents and told her to style it her way. She gave me a great style - I mean great. I am a happy (and relieved) client. She "listens" and then explains exactly what she is going to do. I had the most relaxing shampoo and scalp massage. She took her time and was very professional. But the most important thing to me was the cut and she nailed it!! I dont remember walking out of a salon feeling 100 percent satisfied.... but I did that day!

I have been going to Davis Clay for two years. The first time I went there for a haircut, I won a free eyebrow wax. I had a fabulous eyebrow wax and the best haircut from Becca I have ever had. I had NEVER had anyone take that much time with me or who obviously wanted me to be happy with my haircut. I had a wonderful experience, but thought it was the wooing phase and I probably wouldnt receive the same level of attention in the future. Two years later, I have never been disappointed in my haircut or the customer service I received, from the moment I walk in the door until I walk out. Other businesses should send their employees to Davis Clay to train in how to deliver the optimum in customer service. I live in Atlanta, but dont hesitate to drive to Davis Clay. I would probably crawl over broken glass to go to Davis Clay. OK-thats a bit much, but I wouldnt rule it out.

I went there by recommendation to see Paul and I was not disappointed. After showing 2 different stylist at different salons a picture of a cut - 1 who told me my hair "wouldnt do that" when the picture I showed him was of ME with the haircut - I finally went to J Clay. Paul gave me an amazing cut just like the picture. He was personable and knowledgeable about my hair type. I informed him he is now "my guy" and thoroughly trust him. I highly recommend him especially if you are looking to do a major transformation. He cuts my nieces hair as well and I always love whatever he does.If you are looking for a great stylist, look no further! Oh and you cannot beat the head massage while being shampooed. Absolute heaven!

I went into today for a hairwash and detangling... I advised both the front desk and Tiffany that due to an injury I was out of work and didnt have too much money to spend...Tiffany was very patient in detangling my hair which was matted up kind of bad. She walked me through each step of her process and never pushed any sale on me. It took a while due to the condition of my hair. When she was done I asked her for the cost. I paid $10 which was nothing compared to the work she did...without her pushing me into making a purchase I bought a small bottle of conditioner ans shampoo. I paid a total of $35 including her tip. Tiffany has ezrned me as her customer for life...Great experience; great salon! Jala

I went in to the Davis Clay Spa to get a massage for the first time. I was assigned Beth when I called for an appointment. I was emailed and called for reminders and to ensure I was still coming or if I needed to reschedule. When I arrived I was greeted in their normal manner - warm and congenial. Let me tell you that Beth has wonderful hands! I was there for a Swedish 1 hour massage and she was just as strong at the end as at the beginning. I can think of no better compliment for a massage therapist. Long story shortened, Beth is the bomb and Davis Clay really is what you are looking for.

After not having a haircut for over 6 months, I tried out Davis Salon for the first time. The master stylist I chose was Heather Seiler. After consulting about possible styles and ways to utilize the length I had grown out, we decided on a direction. One of the challenges I face is slight thinning along the hairline. Heather not only gave me the best haircut I have ever received, but gave me insights into which products would best work with the thinning areas to thicken or blend the hair. Incredible job! I was impressed enough to take time and write a review and highly recommend.
