The Sunshine house is the WORST daycare I have ever experienced. Dont expect incident reports, themes of any kind, teachers being open or friendly. It is a corporate owned franchise that does not care about educating their children. I would literally ask my son what he did that day and pretty much everyday the answer would be, nothing. They are always understaffed so expect your child to be one of 20-30 per teacher. When a teacher is out sick, never fear, the cook will watch your kids! Yes... the cook. The food is TERRIBLE! Everything is canned and absolutely nothing I ever saw them give my son for breakfast wasnt either canned or preservative packed. One time, I was helping a child open a milk when I came in and the teacher stated that the milks were expired so she needed to throw them all away. I told them I did not want my son to have milk and then they told me to write a note to put in his chart. I wrote the note and everything was fine. They hired a new Assistant Director and she proceeded to tell me that they will serve my son milk if they please because he does not have an allergy. And I dared her to try to give my son milk.... She started getting attitude and then I had to leave before I would start to yell. No way in hell I want my son drinking the cheap, hormone packed, possibly expired milk. They get upset when parents want to get involved and dont know how to treat children. My son had attended the school for about 6 months if not a little bit more and this is the experience we have had in the Pre-K room. It is inexpensive for sure... but you are paying for it in the end with what you get. Dont expect anything more than just a holding area for your children. I didnt get out sooner because I didnt want my son to hop around but in the end I should have never trusted them with my son.

The teachers at this center are wonderful. However the management leaves a LOT to be desired. Apparently they do not learn from their mistakes and treat people in an extremely rude and unprofessional manner. The director Susan Dozier is just not cut out to be in this business. She is especially rude the teachers and even to to families and the children that attend this school. With all the competition around, she really should not be acting the way she does, and start caring about her business. Her tone of voice is NEVER nice. She always seems put out when she is asked to do something, or if you address any concerns. God forbid you should get her to get off facebook to do her job.... The Kennesaw location has not been the same since the Assistant Director left in June. Get with it Sunshine House. If you are looking for child care at this center, please go to Bright From the Start and check their reviews.Changes are needed or you will start losing families.

I pullled my daughter out of another school and put her in Sunshine House this past January. I read the many reviews on line, and was worried, but after visiting the school on three different occasions, I took a chance. I no longer have to worry about my daughters safety, and the teachers are attentive, not just warm bodies stuck in a daze. Chan Brown, the director, is wonderful. She took over a little over a year ago, and has changed things for the better. Brian Allen, assistant director, recently left which was unfortunate. He was a FANTASTIC care-giver to the children at this school. This is run by a corporation, and they just let one of their best employees leave because they were not willing to pay him what he was worth. I encourage the corporation to care enough to boost the salaries so that people can afford to give their talents toward these types of efforts. Corporate, dont make that same mistake again.

DO NOT go to this facility. My son was abused by one of the teachers and the facility swept it under the rug and did NOTHING about it. I brought concerns about my childs care to the director, Susan, and she did not seem concerned at all. When i brought up my son being abused there, she did note it and investigate but never followed up with me and the teacher still works there. I do not want any families to go through what mine did. I was forced to quit my job and stay at home with my son full time. He had nightmares and recently had to start preschool. We had a really hard time helping him adjust to it after what the teacher at the sunshine house did to him.

I would recommend the Sunshine House in Kennesaw to all new moms! As a new mom, I was a bit terrified to drop my 8 week old son off for the first time, but the teachers and management treat these children like they are their own! The first day I knew he was in good hands. My son, who is now 10 months old is all smiles every morning when he sees Ms. Chan and Ms. Kathi in the morning. Its a relief to all mothers out there, to know that their child is getting the love, attention and socialization they deserve <3

The staff here are awesome! They love the kids and have an excellent program. Prices are much cheaper than kindercare and the older your child(ren) is/are, the cheaper the price! They treat you like part of their family and Ms. Chan (sh-an) is very flexible with parents if they need a couple days to pay. My daughter has been attending for a year and I will continue to use them as my childcare center.
