I have now been at the Goddard School since 2011. We had decided to put our first soon who was 18 months in a Public Pre-K and we realized within a few months that both the curriculum, mandatory state nutrition and teaching methods where not up to par for my child. I originally visited the Goddard School prior to placing my child and decided to go with the other school as it didnt seem like the right environment for my little one. After we realized that we needed to switch we decided to visit the Goddard School again. Since we visited they had new owners and the feeling at the school was very different. We decided to move our little one. Within a few months the transition to the permanent owners "Mary Kay and Team" took over and it has been a great change for my entire family. We have had another little one since and we have been at Goddard where both our children now attend. My eldest is now entering Pre-K and his love or reading and learning is infectious. He loves to go to school and with all the technology (promethean boards) in the classroom it constantly holds both his attention and with the new additional of information daily he never gets bored. My youngest who is in Pre-School 1 also really enjoys the school. They also offer various extra-curriculum activities right there so they can do Chai Kwan Do, Tennis, Soccer, Ballet (which mine do not participate in but the little girls look adorable) and others during the day so that they can do various events that otherwise a working parent would struggle to have their child also attend during the week. One of the best attributes is that they keep the parents very involved and in the "Know" of what is going on daily in the classroom along with out of school events and functions. They use both mobile and email applications that sends you pictures of your little ones during the day and all the curriculum of their day to day activities. It allows me to pick them up from school, talk about what they actually did during the day along with incorporate our after school and weekend events into the learning process. I am so glad that we gave the Goddard School a second look. I am so incredibly happy with my decision!

My son has been enrolled at The Goddard School since 2010. He started in the Get Set room and just graduated from the Pre-K program in June, 2013. I have been so pleased with this school since the first day. The teachers have always been very attentive and loving in every classroom that hes been in. Brandon talks about Ms. Cynthia, his Pre-K teacher, all the time and has even told total strangers about how much he loves Ms. Cynthia! Stephanie Mosac, the Director, has become like extended family to us! Since the first day, she has helped me and Brandon through many of the transitions that can be so difficult for first-time moms and pre-schoolers. She has always taken the time out to give Brandon one-on-one attention when he needed it, and made him feel safe and loved. She has always had an open door for us and has even patiently let me cry on her shoulder more than once! I cant say enough good things about her! Mary-Kay has done an excellent job since taking over this location recently. The curriculum is fantastic, and I have been very pleased that my son has been exposed to foreign language, sign language, math, social studies, science, art, and many other subjects at a very early age that will help him as he starts Kindergarten. He wont be attending The Goddard School for Kindergarten, but we have enrolled him in the after-school program at Goddard, because we want him to continue to be a part of this extraordinary school!

My son has been attending Goddard for over a year now and we couldnt be happier. Like most parents we were very concerned with finding the very best and caring individuals to watch our newborn baby, and Goddard has proven to be an absolute blessing. My wife and I traveled all around Woodstock looking for the right fit and when we met Mary Kay and her staff we knew this was the only place we could comfortably leave our son. This is one of the most important decisions parents can make and we feel so lucky that our son can attend this amazing school and receive the level of care and individual attention that the staff and teachers provide. In addition to the level of attention, were so impressed with the growth and learning that our son is receiving. The floor time, singing, art projects, and motor skill development have been amazing. There are many things that set this Goddard School apart from other schools, however, the one that stands out the most is the fact that everyone on the staff takes the time to get to know you and your family and they end up becoming like family themselves. Whether the front office or adjacent classrooms everyone has a vested interest in knowing you and your child as well as ensuring all your needs and your childs needs are met. We couldnt be happier with the level of care and attention.

I just took my son out of this school and I feel horrible for not doing it sooner. My children attended this school since 2008, after the new owners took over last year it is not the same place. The caring & nurturing environment that I thought was a Goddard standard was no longer there. After I gave our 30-day notice and we were no longer a source of revenue, my son was treated very badly like he didnt matter, they tried to exclude him from things, hed come home crying, saying that they were mean and he started saying things like he wasnt good enough. I could not figure out this behavior change then I spent time in his classroom on his very last day. It broke my heart; I witnessed his teacher and the other children being rude to him, treating him like he didnt count, his teacher couldnt even be bothered to say goodbye to him because she was too busy chatting on the phone in the classroom. Apparently the "You dont matter if youre not money" sentiment comes straight from the top as I emailed the owner about our horrible last day experience and shes never bothered to reply even with the smallest apology. Im sorry but I could not recommend to anyone to send their child here.

The new owner (Mary Kay) is awesome. She has been very pleasant to deal with. My daughter had an awful experience at the day care down the road and I thought I would not find another school for her that I would be happy with. Mary Kay was very understanding and told me how the Goddard school was different. She was right. The staff is wonderful and the director (Stephanie) is very caring towards each child. The infant room at the Goddard school is the best. I've felt very comfortable leaving my daughter here. The spend a lot of time on the floor interacting with the children, reading to the babies, playing with them, and helping them with their developing motor skills. Alissa and Amanda are the teachers in this class and they truly love the babies. They are always excited to see my daughter every morning. Awesome school! Definitely recommend the Goddard School.
