My fiance had signed up for the membership and she talked me into going up to this location for a massage since my back was hurting. They pushed for me to sign up for the monthly membership and told me that since we lived together I would pay a lower price per month. I was charged $10 higher than the price on my agreement and I have brought it up 5 times with no refund. Also I was told by the woman selling me on the membership idea that I could cancel at any time, all I had to do was put in a cancellation request in writing 30 days ahead of time. So I joined, and at some point they stopped charging me, and I was definitely enjoying the extra $$ in my account so I didnt say anything, and just didnt go there for a massage. My fiance called to see what had happened and they told her my card got rejected (its a Wachovia check card and it cant get rejected, I would just get an overdraft fee, let alone the fact that I had more than enough $$ in my account to cover the charge). They said once it got rejected, that the membership was terminated, so I was happy until my card got charged for 3 months at once. I called the location and asked to speak with the manager and he stated that the account was not canceled and that I was on a year long contract, regardless of what the front desk lady told me. He said if I didnt pay that it would go into collections and then they would take me to court, even though I was told I could cancel at any time. He still has not refunded my $10 so we started going to a different location. While Massage Envy is still getting my $$ against my will, I will stay away from this location because they lie to get you to sign up and then youre locked into a contract.

I had a membership for a year and Ive been coming to this location ever since. This location was so convenient for me but my last month with them was awful. First I call to make sure how long I had before my sessions expired and someone told me till the end of the month after a couple of weeks I finally get the chance to schedule an appointment the receptionist tells me its not true that my account its blocked and that they cant help me at all that someone probably lied to me. She was super rude and just wouldnt let me speak. I finally called the mall of Georgia location and they told me the complete opposite my sessions were still available and I had a week until I could use them, apparently she didnt know how to read because the date was written right in front of her. If she could just take some time to do some research but all she wanted to do was get off the phone and go on to the next. We should be valued as costumers but for them its just another number.She made it seem like my payments were not going through and thats why my account was frozen. They should really record everything this girls say its ridiculous. No wonder they get a lot of law suits. One of the reasons why I wont be renewing my membership with them even though I love the services and therapists.

The 1st time I experienced Massage Envy massages was 1 yr. ago. My son gave me a treatment and since I was familiar with massages, I was impressed with the environment and staff. After my massage, I got the sales pitch of becoming a member. I said ok because I felt that I would not be wasting my money and would get them when I could fit them in my schedule. WELL, having my acct. drafted monthly was ok but not being able to give some of my treatments away without being charged EXTRA, along with them telling you - -even though it says "suggested" tip preference was a bit much,so I cancelled at the end of my contract. NOW HERE IS THE KICKER!!! I have to use whatever appointments that are on the books within 30 days of my last draft from my acct. and if I want to transfer any of my appointments to anyone, I need to pay an additional $10. BOY DO THEY KNOW HOW TO RACK UP THE MONEY. From now on, I will pay as I feel, when I am ready for a massage and I will pay whatever they charge at that time. I have always had massages so I am NOT new to them but NEVER will I sign another contract. Management is not the best at times, especially when you are leaving either. But the owners feel like its okay to be rude.

READ THE CONTRACT!!! Beware that if you sign the one year contract, the only way you can cancel is if you move 25+ miles away from a massage envy or you provide a doctors note. If you suspend or freeze the contract, those frozen months are just added back to your contract after the suspension period. Also, they put you on auto renew membership without verbally telling you. Ive had mediocre service from most therapists there. Dolly is pretty good....she is the only one I go to. They would not let me cancel my membership, so Im obligated to pay for massages when my money could be better spent elsewhere. I would not recommend becoming a member at massage envy unless you know you will never want to cancel within a year. I will say I should have read all the fine print, but the receptionist shouldnt be so deceiving either.

im not sure why this location has negative reviews (especially about their contracts)?? i signed up about a year ago and nobody locked the doors, held a gun to my head, and MADE me sign up for the membership. if they conned ALL of their members why arent there more negative reviews? the brunette i dealt with explained everything, and everything is clearly stated on the contract!!! im in this clinic so much they are like my second family, the staff is helpful, super friendly, and so funny!! i have never left with a frown (which is getting harder at my old age LOL)!! if youre worried about getting a mediocre massage tell whoever books your appointment why you are coming in and they will definitely book you with the right therapist!! the more they know the better they can help you!! i love it!!

I have been a member of Massage Envy for years. I actually drive past 2 (one just minutes from my home) to come to the Sugarloaf one. I booked my appointment after my massage last week. It was confirmed. I drove 30 miles to come to this one with two other people. After being told that iI was "all checked in", I waited for 15 minutes after supposed massage time and checked with front staff. I was tols that they did not have my appt in the computer. So here I sit waiting on everyone else to get there massage. The only compensation is to add aromatherapy to my next massage. NOT GOOD ENOUGH. They just didnt seem to care

I love Massage Envy ! I have had back surgery and if it were not for the incredible massages I get from Massage Envy , I would be in pain constantly. I have been going to the Sugarloaf locale for almost a year and I have no complaints. I urge anyone who has a injury or just wants to relieve stress to try them. Always tell them what type of massage you want and the girls up front or the manager will put you with the appropiate therepist.
