I have no idea what their actual work in the field is like. I never got a chance to find out. Called them a couple of weeks ago to pump out my septic tank. They scheduled me for a day or so later. The driver called late in the afternoon and said he was coming even though it was raining. Ten minutes later, thunder rumbled. He called back and said he couldnt work in thunder and lightning. Understandable. He said he could come 3 days later on Saturday. Waited at home all day Saturday. No phone call. Nothing. Monday I called. They were sorry. There was nothing on their schedule for Saturday. They would send the truck that afternoon. Around 5:00 two guys came up with the truck. They poked around in the ground for ten minutes or so and said they couldnt find the tank. They left. Tuesday I dug down and traced the drain pipe to the tank. Called them Wednesday morning. Told them I had located the tank. Put me on the schedule for the following Wednesday...a week out. They said first job of the morning. Today, Wednesday, I called them at 10:30. Whats my status? No record of my phone call from a week ago. Not on the schedule. But they would be happy to get to me NEXT Wednesday! If this is any indication of their professionalism, I dont want them at my house to actually DO any work.

Please, if you have sometime to read this review you have time to keep scrolling down the page and find another plumbing company. Bynum & Son is a terrible company. First, I dont even know if their plumbing certification is legit because the plumber had no idea what he was working on, and by default kept saying that more things needed to be fix to up charge the estimated cost (they work on commission so that is how they make their money). Second, call the main office, trying to give them the benefit of the doubt that is was just a bad plumber, to my surprise that they say that that is how they work, that if I didnt like it they plumber can pack up his stuff in the middle of the job and leave. Please do not continue to give business to this company by people. Companies like this should go out of business. It is sad that the profit based on emergencies situations such as plumbing needs and do not have their customer best interest in mind. Thanks for reading thei review. If you get this far, it means that you have time to research another company and DO NOT pick this one. You will be better off. Andres Vargas

Not very happy. They were given to us through Home Depot. They were supposed to call us to set up an appointment and never did. So we waited four days and called them to get our toilet installed and the old one removed, plus they were supposed to give us a certificate of compliance. The plumber came and installed the toilet and had no idea what a certificate of compliance was, so they are mailing one. We need it ASAP for Dekalb Watershed. After the plumber left toilet runs and handle jingles. So he comes back out and takes less than five minutes to tighten the screws or something. Says it wont run/flow anymore. I ask him over and over, are you sure and he blows me off. Maybe he doesnt understand, his English is not good. I guess he just knew what he was talking about... But he didnt. Its doing again. So weve had a new toilet, but not using it for a week because we have to turn the water off... Overall weve had a troublesome experience. We just want the toilet not to run.

I didnt catch the technicians names, but they were both SO consciencious, and I was amazed at the rapid response time. Friday afternoon (around 3:00pm), I realized I had a problem with my main floor toilet, and called to see when theyd be able to "work me in." I was ecstatic when the receptionist came back on the line to say that theyd have somebody out within 24 hours (of a Friday afternoon? Wow!). She said theyd expect to be out about 11:30 the next day, but would call if they ran into any problems. Sure enough, the next day (Saturday) theres a technician & his assistant on my front porch. They were in & out in no time, with the toilet properly reset. I believe this is the third job Ive called Bynum & Sons out to fix, and each time Ive been extremely pleased with the work, the response time, and their conscientiousness of my schedule.

My husband & I are so pleased with the work Justin of (Bynum & Sons Plumbing) did pumping our septic system. We had an issue with it this afternoon, we called Bynum & Sons and surprisingly, Justin was able to come out almost immediately, he pumped the tank and had it running quickly & smoothly much faster than we would ever have expected. Justin even left the area looking neat & clean. Such a nice, friendly, experienced young man. This was the first time we used Bynum & Sons Plumbing and they will be the first ones we call from now on if/when we have any other issues. We are very pleased with the work, the fast response, pricing and the professional service we received. We are pleased to highly recommend Bynum & Sons Plumbing, Inc. Thank you Bynum & Sons Plumbing and Justin. Mr. & Mrs. Tumlin,

We needed our septic tank pumped. Frank came out and pumped the tank and explained what issues we had with the system. Since the house is 28 years old, the drain field appeared to be clogged. He suggested that we get a remediation system installed to correct the problem. After doing some research, I felt that this was the route to go and set up an appointment to have it done. Frank and his helper, Matt, showed up on time and quickly pumped the tank again and installed the remediation system. They were very professional and made sure that the landscape was put back very nicely. I felt very comfortable with the knowledge that Frank showed and the quality of work that he and Matt did. I would recommend Bynum & Sons to anyone with septic tank issues.

I called the office and spoke to Linda who ask me questions about the septic tank. Linda gave me to Megan to get the day and time scheduled. On the scheduled day Matt and his partner came out during the time frame I was told and completed everything I expected. He recommended two options that would help with the drain lines, which I greatly appreciated and will get done in the near future. It was wonderful to have a easy experience from the beginning until the end when the job was completed. I will definately use them in the future; as well as, recommend them to anyone who needs plumbing service. Thanks everyone for all of your help!!

Bynum is an installer for a HD store I visited to get a new water heater. Initially the company seemed fine and I received a quote for $758 over the phone. Having some reservations about the quote, I asked for an onsite visit. Once the plumber visited, the cost rose to $882. But that still wasnt the final cost. After waiting a week and several phone calls later on my part, I was told there was an additional charge of $379 for a drain pan which would bring the final cost to $1,261. At this point I went with another licensed plumber which cost $807. I would never do business with Bynum and nor would I recommend them to anyone.
