It is rare that I write a review of work performed by a service provider. I normally hire a company or someone to do a job. I expect a good job and I pay for it. If I think I got my money’s worth I will hire them again, if not, there are plenty of listings available. In this case I feel it is necessary to write one. About a week ago we started noticing a banging coming from under our house. The area we live in used to be swampland but was reclaimed. We live in a house that was built in the 1950s. It has a “crawlspace” that is just bare wet ground. It is difficult for a thin person to fit in the crawlspace. We called a friend of my sons who is a professional plumber with Blessing Company. He lives just a short distance from us and came right over. This was a late Saturday night and he could have just said, call Blessing on Monday morning and we’ll come out on Monday. John Peterson determined that the problem was either a hole in the pipe leading to the well or a leak under our kitchen floor. John said we could continue to use water, but not to overdo, like laundry, until the real problem was identified. John and his apprentice, Jake, came out Monday morning and determined the problem was a leak under the house. The crawlspace was filled with water and still filling. We shut off the water and John and Jake placed a sump pump under the house to drain the water. This took most of Monday, and still the water was not completely drained. John and Jake came back on Tuesday; on Monday they had opened a hole in the kitchen floor – this was really the only way they could get at the pipes since the crawlspace was such a muddy mess after most of the water was drained. John determined that more water needed to be drained, since the plumbing was still under water. After more draining, John was finally able to access the pipe through the kitchen floor. John went down in the crawlspace, found the damaged pipe and repaired it. While this sounds very simple, there was very little room to move, luckily John and Jake had brought along some styrofoam so he did not need to lay in the mud. Barely able to move John cut the pipe with the hole and spliced a piece of pipe over the cut pipes. Jake was running back and force getting everything John needed or asked him to do. The other thing I noticed was that John would occasionally ask Jake pointed question about code and what needed to be done to resolve the issue – what a true Master Plumber should do with his apprentice. Now comes the scary part – the cost. John had come over on his own time Saturday night and John and Jake had spent a couple of hours on Monday and several hours on Tuesday – I thought I would need to take out a loan to pay them. When John handed me the bill, I was very pleasantly surprised. The bill was about 30 – 40% LESS than I expected. I would HIGHLY recommend Blessing Company, and especially John Peterson and his apprentice Jake (sorry I don’t know Jake’s last name) to anyone needing plumbing services in the Flint MI area.

BIGGEST RIP OFF EVER! My toilet overflowed and was running into my basement. When they came out the plumber charged me $587 to snake my toilet and "unclog" it. After several attempts to snake the toilet the plumber said that "something broke loose" but he didnt actually know what caused the problem. About a week later the same thing happened and I called them back out to fix the problem. The same plumber came out along with a second guy, this time he said that it was "probably tree roots" and that I should "use different toilet paper." I was also informed that they didnt actually have a snake that fit the entire length of the pipes so the first time they came out the snake didnt reach all the way to the sewer. They wanted to charge me $200 to put a camera down to see that the problem was, plus charge me over $1700 to put in an access cap to get in further down the pipes, I ALREADY HAVE AN ACCESS CAP! When the gentlemen left the second time I called a different plumber that charged me $70 to clean the pipes out to the sewer through the access cap and was able to tell me the issue was grease. When the plumber from Blessing was asked why he was charging me $587 he simply said, "Im a senior plumber" he was there for LESS THAN 2 HOURS! The company charges way too much money for work that isnt done correctly in the first place and then tries to charge you for things that dont need to be done, example: $1700 access cap. Save your money and call someone else!!!

Ron from Blessing Company of Grand Blanc came to my house today to perform an annual check of my home heating system. From the moment he entered my house, it was obvious to me that he is a friendly, courteous man. As I witnessed him working on my furnace, it was clear to me that he knows what he is doing - that he is intelligent and has expertise in the field of furnace servicing and repair. As I talked with Ron this morning, many good memories came back to me associated with the fact that Blessing Company has been my exclusive provider of heating, cooling and plumbing services for nearly forty years. Lou Blessing even built my familys current house for us. I have never had any thing but excellent experiences in working with Blessing Company and its people. Trustworthy, expert, cooperative, dependable and friendly - those are the descriptive words that come to me when I think of Blessing Company and its people. I recommend their services without question to everyone. On a five star scale, they get a 5+ rating from me. John Crawford

OUTSTANDING & UNMATCHED; this company has always been like no other because they are sound in their knowledged staff, service and product. My plumbing and water softner were complex projects in their reconfigurations being a unique slab-based 1950 build and thought it was best to hire only the best. They sent Bill over for the jobs and he completed everything perfectly against alot of circumstances.. this man is truly the Jesus of his industry and outside of that, just a down-right good caring person. You cant buy passion folks, and its these type of persons who you appreciate when investing in home improvements because they do what needs to be done.. and right.. and right the 1st time with full intention of long-term quality. I would definitley recommend Blessing Co. to others because they are proven the best by myself and others whom know their workmanship, they have a good reputation for a reason. Thank you Bill and staff for the accomodations, communication, honesty and for the jobs well done! Hats off with gratitude- sincerely. :)

It was after 10:00 pm when I saw water near my water heater and my new furnace/air conditioning unit. I called Blessing because they did a great job installing my furnace/air conditioning unit. The receptionist got a technician to call me back within minutes. Zak Rostar arrived in a reasonable amount of time and diagnosed my problem: a leaky water heater. He explained and helped me choose the best option for my home. Then he said he could take care of it that night and had the water heater on his truck. This was the most convenient option for me, but I felt bad about him having to work so late. He assured me that it was not a problem and that I could take care of the payment in advance because I knew I would not be able to stay up that late. He was efficient, cleaned up the area, and was gracious to let me sleep when he completed the job. I will always count on Blessing Plumbing & Heating Company! A grateful customer Grand Blanc, MI
