The schools structure seems rigid, with an inflexible schedule that doesnt leave room for children to explore at their own pace. The best programs encourage development naturally, so children may look like theyre simply playing and that is OK. Not here, and not with Ms Carly. Don,t get fooled by reviews either if your kid goes to her class just take him/her out (that is what I did and my child never had problem in a new pre-k).She has no sense of humor and gives orders all day long ( do not do this do not do that) She is burnt out and uninspired teacher and very strict (4 year old do not listen all the time but she makes big deal out of it). Her communication skills? Very standoffish not at all open or friendly and very ironic. Impersonal and impossible to talk to. Organization is probably the only thing your kid will learn from her, creativity never. She is very judgmental teacher who is unable to recognize her students strengths. She does not have time for it (she repeats the same things over and over again). All kids in her class have to act the same or they "have behavioral issues." She constantly focused more on my childs weaknesses and never said that she made something good or that she progressed in anything. She is very cold person with this fake smile and you will see it for yourself when you meet her. Do your child and yourself a favor do not put your kid to her class. My child is not in her class and she is thriving. Her new teacher is giving them rewards when they are doing something good, not punishing them when they are doing something every 4 year old would do (like sitting for 30 minutes in circle time!!!!). She needs more training. I hope this will help you to decide. Good luck. P.S. Daycare i clean, but food is horrible (canned fruit is one example instead of fresh fruit, nuggets, burgers, pasta and mac and cheese or frozen peas). Kids dont get decent meal here.
