Went there with a young child to get a haircut. The manager was the one on staff who was "good with kids." She was busy doing haircuts for friends. Her employees repeatedly tried to ask her to do the cut for my son since he was so young and wriggly. She did not. Waited a total of about 15 minutes even though we had checked in online previously and there was "0 wait time," until another two employees were done with their clients. One of the other employees did then try to cut my sons hair but did not know how to behave with a young child (silent treatment does not work well with young kids). The crying started, and then he panicked when the clippers turned on. My son and I were kicked out of the salon by the manager. The manager did not look look or talk to me all directly, she managed to talk around me to her employee. Like I did not exist. Employee had the nerve to take my money for a cut that was only 75% completed. I dont have a problem with being kicked out for my sons behavior, but I do have serious issues with both a manager who is that rude and disrespectful to customers, and on top of that being prompted to pay for a very incomplete haircut. Never again. Ill gladly pay more elsewhere and hopefully be treated a little more like a human being. Since Id always tipped $10-$15 the price of a cut was never the issue. Edit: Went to Pigtails and Crewcuts nearby and had a great experience. The little man was still crying but much less so and got a great haircut. The staff was very understanding and accommodating to small children - and got a very generous tip! I plan on giving them by business from now on.

Ive had my hair cut a few times here. One time was by a young woman named Allison, who was perfect, and listened to what I wanted and talked me through what she was doing to accomplish my haircut the way I wanted it. When I returned a while after that to get the same cut, I found out she was actually just filling in from another location, so I settled for someone else. My mistake. Sun cut my hair and didnt listen to anything I told her. I showed her many pictures of what I wanted, but she insisted she couldnt do it (though I have been getting the same cut and even showed her photos of me with the cut for years), so she did something entirely different. My hair came out choppy and jagged and felt awful. After asking her to trim the bangs a little shorter, she chopped them off almost entirely. She wanted to use the stores pomade on my cut, but I told her I had my own, and that I preferred to try using it after I get a cut so I can get a better feel for my new do. Instead, she grabbed the paste from me and took huge gobs of it roughly to my hair, almost using up the remainder of my product. I ended up going home, washing it all out, and trimming what I could to fix it, but she did plenty of damage. I dont usually have bad experiences at Great Clips, but this was just awful. If I can find out where Allison works, I would travel whatever extra distance I had to to get her to cut my hair again! However, I will not be going to this Great Clips ever again, even though its right down the road from where I work.

WALK INs NOT WELCOME, I looked online and the website said 15 min wait, which isnt that bad. I reasoned I could just drive there like I usually do when I get a haircut at Great Clips, but not at that particular establishment. I usually go to 2 other ones. So I drove to the Great Clips which is about a 15 min drive and a couple of people were sitting down. It took about 3 mins to register up front for a haircut. My complaints is the employees got to everyone sitting there in the waiting area and a slew of people were walking in who made online appointments. I was there about 25 mins, so I asked when anyone could get me, not just the lady I logged in with and I was told 2 more people ahead of me! No one said when I registered that I would have to wait a very long time since I was a walk in and people were apparently hitting the internet hard for online appointments. So I walked out and told them to forget it. They should have told me I would have a long wait due to a large amount of internet appointments that just hit the system while I was in transit. Also one of their employees left her shift while I was sitting there. They knew all that. A lousy way to treat a walk in customer. A lousy way to do business.

I havent had my haircut in years. I got off work early and decided to do something for myself so I came to this location for a haircut. Gary was friendly at first but then proceeded to try to sell products for the ENTIRE cut. I asked for a shampoo at the check in counter and did not receive one. He used a spray bottle but did not adequately dampen my hair. When he had me check my hair to see if it was to my satisfaction, it was not. I asked him to thin my hair and add layers. He immediately got an attitude and did it because "he had to" (his words). My haircut is uneven, the framing around my face is jagged, and there are zero layers around the back. I honestly dont know how he has a job cutting hair. He walked me to pay at the counter and said, "Your total is $14. Would you like to leave it at $14?" ...Really? I spoke with the manager on the phone who begged me to come back so they could give me a complimentary shampoo (Oh you mean the one I originally asked for? That costs $5?) and that she would personally fix it. I agreed to come back in that same day and she said she would not wait for me. She instead pushed me to come the next day for a shift lead to fix my hair. Thanks, but no thanks.

It depends on who you get to cut your hair. I learned about their chair system and that the veterans are stationed in the front and the rookies are in the back. I have had amazing hair cuts where the person cared about how i felt, listened, paid attention to detail, took the time to do things right, and even fixed little things that my picky self wanted done different. Annnnnd I have had aweful experiences where the person didnt listen at all, had their own agenda, tried to cover up mistakes, and rush me out the door. I know that Christie, Darin, and Fernando are awesome! Christie and Darin are managers at other locations now I believe. So people, the trick is to find the person you like and *stick with them no matter what*. If they move locations, move with them. Its not worth the anxiety to sit in that chair with a new person.

If I could give zero stars as a rating I would. I went to this great clips and had my hair cut by Stephanie, and it was by far the worst haircut of my life. My hair was cut in "layers" that were uneven and all over the place. I had to have the cut fixed by another stylist in another salon, which resulted in most of my hair being cut off. Christie the manager, and Rick the owner are both rude and unhelpful. And to make matters worse the corporate office does nothing to make sure customer issues are resolved. Luckily hair grows back, but if I were you I would stay as far away from this Great Clips as possible!!!!!!
