Very displeased with Pro Roofing & Siding. There is so much, I will just hit the highlights. We needed a new roof and gutters on our rental home and a small patch made on the exterior of the house. We received a recommendation for this company from our Church. We Googled their business to find a 4.9 rating, so with those two things in mind, we called to schedule an appointment to have an estimate. The lady who we initially spoke with was very kind and friendly (1 star for this). She said someone would touch base with us within a couple of days. A couple of days go by and we receive a text saying that they will call us within the next couple of days to set up a time to come out to provide an estimate for the work. A couple of days go by, we text that same number and receive no response. A day later, we call the main number (presumably the office) and speak with another woman who said she will have someone call us ASAP. The contractor (?) called and we scheduled an appointment. He came by on time, gave the estimate, we signed and agreed, they were to start within a weeks time. They came and began working on the roof. A couple of days later, they had let us know the things needed to be repaired were complete. We went to check on the house. The roof looked fantastic! (1 star for this). The patch had not been completed. There were nails left in the front and back yard. There were pieces of broken gutter in the back yard. (There is a dog that lives in this residence and two tenants, this is a safety hazard) We call and speak with the person who was in charge of ensuring our repairs were completed. He did not offer an explanation, gave us the run around again. We called and asked to speak with his supervisor. His supervisor apologized and said he would personally come out and figure out what was going on and this was unacceptable. Supervisor comes out, apologizes, explains that they are in their busy season, that the contractor working on our home is new, etc etc. (During out conversation with him, we found 2 more nails and handed them to him, clearly proving there are nails scattered throughout the yard) He offers to come back and take care of the clean up. He comes back and "takes care of the clean up", supposedly. We go back to the house to check on the safety concerns, and there are still nails. There was still a large sharp piece of the gutter in the yard. We call the supervisor back and he gives a handful of excuses, but that he will come back out to sweep the yard again. We explain that we are very disappointed and we are just finished with all of this run around and excuses. He tells us "10-4" and hangs up. This may have been a fluke, but our experience was a terrible one and we will definitely not be using Pro roofing & Siding in the future.

Lets be honest. Nobody likes to replace a roof. Unless the roof is is very bad shape (really ugly) it is done not for aesthetic reasons, but for practical ones. It wont really work any "better" than the old one: a roof either leaks (bad) or does not (good). It is an expensive repair. It is very messy, and disruptive. In short: it is one of the worst things about being a homeowner. I knew when I bought my 13 year old house that the original roof was going to need to be replaced sometime soon. I didnt want it to be 2 years after I bought the house, but when I began to find bits of shingle on the lawn which had blown off the roof after heavy winds I knew that I was going to have to get the roof replaced. I got three quotes, and ProRoofing was the middle quote, and I thought the best value. They were using the highest quality materials, and the roof did come with the GAF "Golden Pledge" warranty. The estimator was very knowledgeable and honest about what needed to be done, and how it was going to happen. After I signed the contract the project manager called and we discussed the timetable for the work, a few days before it was to start he came to the property and we did about a one hour walkaround to finalize the details. The work took two full days, and another half day for the gutter guards. I mention this not to say that they workers were slow: rather to point out that they were very thorough. I was warned by the estimator and the project manager that it was likely that there may be damaged roof decking. Indeed there was: probably 4 or so 4x8 sheets worth. They took the time to remove all of the damaged decking, then cut new decking to fit and install. This takes considerable time. ProRoofing used high quality materials, including GAF TigerPaw underlayment (better than felt), and purpose designed starter shingles and ridge shingles. They took time to replace and paint the flashing on the house. The gutter guards are nearly invisible (I had to be told they were installed) and have worked very well. Overall I would recommend this firm without reservations. You may be able to find cheaper bids, but I dont think you are going to be as happy in the long run. When I look at my new roof as compared with some others in the neighborhood (since the houses were all build at about the same time, they all need new roofs at the same time) I can tell the difference. mainly in the detail work: the flashing and such. I would point out, though, that that detail work is where problems tend to arise. Its been my experience that most roof leaks and problems start around flashing and vent boots. Money saved up front is probably going to equal big headaches in a year or two.

1.They ripped off old roof and put on a new one. 2.They removed the wood work from my dormers/chimney cap and replaced it with hardie board, then repainted it. 3.They removed my old gutters and put new gutters up. Great job from start to finish, couldnt have asked for a better experience! My sales manager, James, was at my home waiting on me after work for our appointment and went over all the information. My wife wasnt home the 1st appointment so James then came out a 2nd time so my wife could look at the shingle samples. The roofing crew did an excellent job cleaning up daily, showed up before daybreak and worked until dark every day...roof looks great! My Product manager, Kelvin, was at my home every evening to go over the days work and make sure I was fully aware of what had been done. Had the same Product manager, Kelvin, for the hardie trim and the gutter work...same attention to detail and customer service. Made my house look like a brand new home, couldnt be happier with the service! ProRoofing worked with me on my payments, as I was coordinating with my insurance company. The office manager, Tammy, was as nice as she could be talking to her over the phone to verify the information for my Notice of Completion form to the insurance company. Top to bottom, this was an outstanding experience and a first rate company. I would recommend ProRoofing to anyone that needs roofing or gutter work on their home!
