Let me tell you my experience with Planet Fitness in McDonough. I signed up with them on March 28th, 2017. ( $10.00 to sign up ) They informed me that once a year, somewhere around May 1st, they would charge a one time fee of $54.00 for a yearly annual fee. When you sign up you have to give a checking account number & routing number to secure your account for your monthly fee. The associate that I signed up with put my checking account number in their system incorrectly so when the next months charges came out they charged me a late fee because of it. I called and corrected the account number with their billing department, so I thought, and they said it would be corrected. The next month they charged me a late fee AGAIN telling me that they still didnt have correct checking account number info. And by this point I am obviously irritated because they have over charged my card $15x2 now and wont do anything about, even though it was one of their associates that did it. I have spoken with Kara the assistant manager who was very rude and told me it "wasnt her problem to deal with". I then requested by her that the General Manager contact me. After waiting three days I got no response so I called again and got told that he never works weekends and that I need to call back Monday morning after nine. So I call Monday at 9am and get told that he isnt in yet. Call back at 9:30 & I get told that he is still not in yet. I call back finally after lunch to speak with Derrick and I get told if I have any complaints to email them @ a Planet Fitness email bc they do nothing over the phone. So I email them in detail and get a "Unfortunately youre not eligible for a refund" email. Thats it. No explanation. No nothing. So all in all, they will charge your card however they please. They have no customer service experience and they could care less if you are out $200+ and havent used your membership ONCE! So if you are thinking about joining the Planet Fitness gym, I urge you to think before you act.

The staff members are nice and the gym looks great...BUT...my 18 year old daughter and her 16 year old friend went there with her friends parents and purchased memberships and the parents of the friend signed the waiver for her to work out. They were sold these memberships and told that they could come up there together to use the gym. On the website it stated that 13-15 year olds have to have an adult, 16-17 year olds have to have a signed waiver. They worked out 2 days in a row and on the third day they were told that the 16 year old had to have an adult present. When confronted with this issue the manager had no answer as to why they were told this was okay or why they dont follow the statement on the website. Unfortunately we will be canceling our daughters membership after this month since her and her friend cannot go together.

Contract is misleading. You cannot pay in advance. MUST pay on the 17th ONLY. MUST CANCEL BY THE 8TH EVERY MONTH OR THEY WILL HIT YOUR BANK TWICE FOR SERVICE CHARGES AT BANK TWICE PLUS LATE FEE AT THE GYM SO A 20.00 FEE WILL COST YOU $100.00 with 2 bank charges and late fee....very upset with how their policy and charging format... Been with them for 4 years... No more... Read the policy closely. No cancellation receipts so i had to take a picture of me cancelling.Cancellation done June 5th at 4:30 to the public so I have proper documentation on record.Only one coin for the massage chair per Charles at the front desk... Go FIGURE. Charles said... You will get a cancellation email.... Still waiting on the email.....Owners. If my account is hit on the 17th of June I will see you in court... Promise

Great prices, good services, easy to get started, friendly people. Although lots of equipment, missing a couple of key pieces such as a lie down leg curl machine, and the sitting leg curl machine and sitting row machine arent like those in most places... They just dont work that well here. These pieces are just not very adjustable and are really uncomfortable to use. Only one type of ab machine. No calf machines of any kind. Showers have serious temperature issues. Some days you cannot get anything but painful scorching hot even on coldest setting. Giving 4 rather than 3 because of great prices and services and friendliness, although equipment limitations and water problem are really annoying.

I was very hesitant in joining because of my wsight gain due to health issues but once my Doctors stated that they would be cuting my meds every week until Im completely off if then and that its ok if to start working out he said start slowly but dont over do it I did start the problem is that I feel like a fish out of water starting today I will no longer feel that because I will walk straight up to the desk and ask for help I really appreciate the friendly approachable smiling Faces when I walk in the DoorI will Continue with what happened after my Approach

Its newer, but I have to say that the lack of standard elliptical machines instead of only having ones that simulate a hill by twisting your gate up instead of the whole front of the machine lifting up is a bit of a let down. The other PFs around North Ga have a mix of machines like this, but I will say this location does have other equipment that is newer and expanded compared to what other locations have. So, give/take based on what your workout looks like and uses.

Very disappointed. Staff is unfriendly and too rushy they wont take the time to help you with questions. Too busy to give you a tour. And they dont mind letting friends cut in place and assist them first. I would rather pay more go somewhere with a friendlier environment.

I didnt not enjoy my experience here at this particular location and cancelled my membership. Even after I cancelled my membership Planet Fitness continued to withdraw from my account and advise they cant refund my money. I would not recommend this location period!

I enjoyed the ample used of without equipment. I loved the hydromessage chair. Did not use the shower. The receptions at the front desk was rude and it seemed she had an attitude. Really didnt make me feel welcomed. Think I will shop around some more.

Very unprofessional when it comes to getting the correct debit and credit card information, have been over charged for 2 months with no care to resolve my issue, and refuse to waive the charge to cancel the membership. DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE!!

Very clean, you can work at tour own pace without having to worrying about judgement. I love the hydromassage beds that are offered to black card members. Everyone who works here is very nice.

This is my gym away from home. Best thing about Planet Fitness is the best membership allows you to use any gym in the country. I went to Planet Fitness while visiting New York in May.
