I visited the ULTA located at 2540 Cumberland Blvd SE, Smyrna, GA 30080 on Sunday, July 30, 2017 for perfume. I usually go to the Newnan location, however I was close to this one so I decided to give it a try. I was not greeted when I walked in, it literally takes one second to say Hi welcome to ULTA. My sister said, “Hi, welcome to ULTA” and eventually one of the employees acknowledged us by saying hi. I looked at the perfume for over 20 minutes before anyone acknowledge me and then when I was finally acknowledged, it didn’t feel genuine, I got more so of the I was sent over to make sure you aren’t stealing vibe, because the girl quickly walked away. There are not enough associates in the store to manage it and if there are they aren’t on the floor. There was a young lady who was believed to be shoplifting, she walked out and the buzzer went off, she was asked to stop but she kept going. The girl had been near the fragrances where I was so then the natural dark skin African American associate rudely comes over to where I was and acts as if she is cleaning up, I guess she was trying to make sure I wasn’t in on the stealing. Her disposition was very nasty, she was in the area I was in for at least 15 minutes and never asked if she could help me. The entire experience was appalling, there is no reason why a customer should be in a store over 30 minutes and walk out empty handed. I don’t have to shop anywhere where associates will ignore me and act like my money isn’t needed. The fact of the matter is that the associates need to do their jobs, be more professional and genuine if they want to sell these products; they also need to realize that cosmetics and fragrances are not a necessity, if I never buy make up or perfume again, life will go on. –without the customer there is no ULTA or paycheck for the associate for that matter. From now on, I will go right to the Macy’s counter or Sephora in Cumberland Mall.

Great for makeup; horrible for hair cuts! It was a big mistake getting my hair cut here, I was clearly this girls last client of the day since she decided to have one of her friends come in and hang out on the counter while I got my hair cut. My cut was extremely rushed and no care was taken to ensure that I was satisfied. They talked about how they still needed to get ready for going out that night. She was cutting my hair so quickly just trying to get finished. I am not tender headed at all, and she was very rough with me. She accidentally hit me in the head with her blow dryer and didnt even apologize. She just kept talking to her friend, and I said ouch and pulled away a few times while she straightened my hair. Again, no apology and she just kept on going. When she was finished, she didnt ask me if I liked it, or offer for me to see the back. She just took the cape off and talked to her friend some more. I lingered trying to say how I was unsure about the back but she didnt seem interested and went off to keep talking. I would have been better off going to great clips. I am very disappointed in the service given and even sent an email to their websites comment page. I never even got a reply. Dont waste your money or time getting your hair cut here!

I had a haircut here yesterday at 2:00pm. I had Opal dove as my hair stylist. I got to the appointment she checked my hair length and I told her I wanted half an inch cut off. She told me prices started at 27$ but for her it would be 30$ I was completely fine with it. Then as we were talking she realized my age and started treating me differently. She rushed my haircut. Left it very uneven. She "styled" my hair with a hairdryer that had a brush on it. It was supposed to be straightened and by the time she was done my ends were super curly!!!! I then left to pay and she said my total would be 36$ due to my hair length after she told me 30$ after seeing my hair. I proceeded and just was going to pay but I was referred over by a friend so I had a 15$ discount. Turns out she hands me the receipt and she charged me 52$!!!! For half an inch off my hair!!! And discounted 13$ the price ended up being 39$. Im honestly so frustrated because her price changed at the end by 22$ how in the world is half an inch trim 52$? After you told me 30$! She overcharged me and was horrible at her job!!!!! I need a refund this is pathetic. Im going to get my hair fixed. This is the most ignorant hair stylist Ive ever met. This is so unfair. I will never be going back here.

I love Ulta, but this location is just terrible. I walked in to the store after work one day (around 6pm) looking to buy some new concealer and foundation. I completely expected there to be someone there to help me find a good shade (I was trying to switch from powder to liquid). It was the whole reason why I went in to the store rather than just buying online. There were 2 ladies at the register with ZERO people in line that didnt even seem to notice me walk in. I stood over in the foundation area trying different shades for about 15 min before I gave up. I ended up buying the regular powder that I always do because I was too nervous to buy an expensive liquid foundation when I had no idea what shade or brand would be good for me. I went up to the counter to buy it and I was never asked if I found everything ok or anything. I was really upset and I wouldnt have bought anything if I wasnt completely out of my foundation already.

I really enjoy the ulta stores but will have to say my last two experiences at the Cumberland store have been horrible!!! I asked for help with finding some make up and the lady literally told me she was not on the clock and just walked away..: then the other day they had a promotion up about hot tool items. I doubled check that the item I was buying was the one to buy for the free gift. Well it didnt ring up as one. Instead of going back to look for herself the very rude young lady just brushed it aside. You need to hire more help!!! Especially during the holidays. Its unacceptable to have two cashiers with a line of 10 people..: then no one able to check on an item. I will most definitely be going to other ulta stores instead of the one 2 mins from my house!!!

I am an avid Ulta shopper and shop at the chain frequently. I just moved to the area and thought I would try out the closest one to my new place, which is the Cumberland store. The store was out of quite a bit, the employee would not check to see if they actually had a specific item in stock and clearly they have no idea how to sign their store because things that had a sign that were "apparently" on sale did not ring up that way and they did nothing to try and resolve the issue. Needless to say I was very agitated when I left their store. I will not being going back to this location and will make sure to drive out of my way to go to a different one. I would recommend you do the same.
