The is the worst hair braiding salon I have ever been to . I called the owner and asked if they had green hair and do they do box braids and how much will it be she said yes and that its $130 I called twice and asked the same thing once we got here the owner said she didnt have green hair we had to leave and buy 11 packs hair I spent $50 on hair . I asked for big box braids I showed them pictures and they said okay they gave me micro braids after I told them all I wanted box braids . The ladies didnt even use the hair right they cut the hair I bought in half and I looked a hot mess . My mom called the owner later that night and had a conversation the lady told my mom to bring me back in the morning my mom said okay and that was it then they lady called back and she didnt know her and her husband were laughing at the girl with the blue and green hair which was me my mom and I heard everything that they said . We came up here the next morning and she said she was full and that I didnt ask for box braids which I did I called about it twice and she told her to bring me back Sunday and when we came the lady told me I had to buy more hair and we asked why Bessie I was going just use 1B hair she said she doesnt have enough 1B hair we are in the salon now and and there are 5 people in front of us and the ladies that are braiding hair are using 1B hair and I dont think its fair that I had to buy hair and the other ladies are being supplied with hair . I will not come back

Terrible service. I use to come to this shop about 2 to 3 years until I found a better shop. They are very lazy they do no provide the hair anymore. They take several breaks off an on. I have experienced braids coming out on numerous occasions. Sloppy job also. Hair sticking out of braids an even spots they for got to braid. They do not listen Ive seen customers complain about improper styling & wrong style. They did my faux dreads so bad one time & told told me to buy the wrong hair. My hair has recovered but my edges where so bad. Dirty shop also. Prices are cheap because they dont provide the hair or good service. The woman commenting below who said 6 hours thats ridiculous. I had my sengalese twist done at azara hair braiding in 4 hours . I use to sit in Genesis 6 to 8 hours even 9 . Terrible

Very poor service I did not get what I went in to get done ,they did what they wanted to do to my hair. I am so pissed right now. I sent pics to them explaining how I wanted my hair is asked for medium Marley twist well I didnt get what I paid for it got more like individual/ micro twist. One lady was smelling like fish when she opened her mouth. And it took 6 hours on my head with 3 braiders smh. If it was left up to me I will snatch all of their license and send them back to Africa with they rude ass

Great service , and was quick. I received lots of compliments on my hair. I got Senegalese twists done, but I say box braids and micros also being done that looked great also. They had two people working on my hair most of the time. I have a lot of natural hair, but they still got done in the 6 hours promised! Great shop! *note* if you use GPS or google, look for the shop to be on the opposite side of the road that it tells you.

I love Genesis ! They do such a good job . They are very kind to there customers and treat them very well too. I would recommend this to everyone with black hair and wanting a good hair do! Go to Genesis !
