I currently have my GMC truck at their Union City location. This shop was highly recommended by Allstate insurance as a preferred shop. Let me first start with their communication about the current status of your repairs in my experience with them. When you do your initial inspection with the person at Caliber handling you claiming you fill out some forms asking how youd like to be communicated to and how often regarding your repair. I asked to be communicated with by phone daily. My car has been with Caliber since Nov 22nd and today is Dec 6 and yet till this day, I dont get any form of communication about whats going on with my repair unless I dial them directly and then Im told my call will be returned when my rep is done with a customer, which takes hours. This place lacks initiative when keeping their customers updated on their repairs and thats just the beginning. Each day I was told something different as to what was going on with my repair. First, they were waiting on the parts to come in. Then, oh the parts have arrived and we should be finished with your car in a few days. Next, oh wait actually some of your parts didnt arrive (which I was told that they had). Next, oh on the day we were going to start working on your vehicle we noticed the grille we ordered was the wrong grille (seemingly that should have been checked during the buying process and immediately upon arrival). Then oh, we repaired the new hood we ordered for your vehicle because it arrived damaged (what? Send it back and get a new one!). Then I found they were using aftermarket parts instead of OEM parts (which I was having no part of, nor was that communicated to me at any point). So they had to order another hood that was an OEM replacement. Next, the grille that was originally ordered had to be reordered and was expected to be delivered the same day (it wasnt). Only to find out that the dealer they ordered from actually didnt have it in stock, so this began another "lets figure out what happened and get the grille to the shop". It didnt even stop there, but I dont even care to keep typing this drama. Ive used plenty of repairs shops in the past and this was the worst. Simple communication would have fixed most of the issues I had with this repair shop. I even dropped in a couple times and saw my truck parked in the back with nothing done to it, when I was told it was sitting in the garage bay torn down. Lies. I DONT RECOMMEND THIS SHOP!!!
