Great salon in lovely, charming downtown Woodstock. Am very picky given I have family members who are both superb hair stylists and until I moved to GA I had rarely paid to have my hair done professionally. So, I have very high standards, especially when paying for service. Salon Venessa exceeds all my expectations from the friendly, welcoming, knowledgable reception staff to the the superior cut and style I receive from Jen. And, of course, Aveda products are the best out there, bar none. Im a BioNutritionist and part of the work I do with my clients is to find and eliminate sources of toxicity. A major one is personal care products. Most of the stuff you get out there has over 200 known hormone disruptors and carcinogens. Its no wonder diseases driven by hormonal imbalance (hypothyroid, diabetes, cancer, depression et al) are exponentially increasing! But not Aveda. Their products are pure and natural and I recommend them to all my clients along with Aveda salons. Salon Venessa is top of my list for Aveda salons in Cherokee County. Highly recommend.

After making what I thought was an appointment for multiple services for a friend and myself I was told that our appointments had been given away because there wasnt a credit card hold for the appointment made and that this was their policy. When I called to make the appointment I was not asked to give any credit card info as I would have done with no problem to hold the appointments. This was ridiculous, unacceptable, and a big waste of time. I was also told that there was nothing they could do since it is a "first come first serve" at which I was taken back from because I am pretty sure when you ask if there are available appointments and they schedule you in that means they have availability for you. This was clearly a big screw up on their part and they didnt take ownership of it to make it right. This is 100% a company that is not worthy of giving your business to which is a shame they couldnt find a way to make this situation right. Would not recommend a poorly ran spa like this to anyone.

I had a wonderful first time experience at this salon. My brother purchased a Spafinder gift card for my birthday. I was looking up places to use this card and this spa popped up as an option. I had driven past this place 100 times or more. I was excited to try it out. When I walked in the place smelled amazing. The energy was positive throughout the whole place. Downstairs the salon was buzzing and everyone seemed to be genuinely happy. I was walked upstairs to the spa area for my pedicure which was quiet and relaxing. The separated levels allowed for a positive experience in both areas. I was super impressed with the overall experience and I will be back again. Since it was my first experience they provided me with a little gift. I thought this was an exceptionally nice gesture. Check them out!

I was given a gift certificate to this salon/spa for a birthday present. Everything about my experience was absolutely perfect. The location was easy to find with an ample amount of parking behind the building. What a gorgeous old home to have a business in! As an interior designer, I certainly appreciate the aesthetics as the calming colors, fragrant rooms and thoughtful details were a treat for the senses. All that aside, I had a relaxing massage by Natasha who was amazing! She took the time to get to know me and make me feel comfortable while understanding exactly what I wanted from my massage. Natasha met and exceeded those needs. I cant wait to return and experience more services at this exceptional salon/spa!

From the first phone call I made to the time I walked out from my appointment, I felt like I was family and they wanted me to be really happy! I had a bad experience at another salon and felt like what I wanted didnt matter and got a bad do! I wanted some one to fix the undercut that didnt go so well at the last place and they hooked me up with Heather! Booked a consult (free by the war) we discussed what I wanted and what she could do! Booked my cut appointment and Heather worked her magic and I walked out of there feeling like it was the best cut ever! Undercut the way I wanted hair the way it should be and I have a new stylist! Thanks to all of the wonderful people at Venessa!

I am native american and have almost black hair. The lady died my hair brownish-pink and tried to tell me that I have red tones in my hair. It was supposed to be semi-permenant. I booked another appointment the next week for her to fix it. She kept combing it without conditioner and ripped out a few chunks of my hair. I quickly left and went to Jackie Aveda salon. She told me that the woman at Spa Vanessa had not only used permanent dye, she also left some parts of my very long hair (almost down to my waist) with only 2 inches from the scalp because she ripped it out. Jackie in Acworth totally fixed the color and cut it so it the super short pieces would blend a bit better.

Absolutely Wonderful Experience! I came into Spa Venessa with the hopes of not having to have my head shaved. I had had a very bad experience at another salon and my hair was extremely damaged, brittle, and was a horrible color. My appointment was with Jaci and I couldnt of been luckier. Jaci looked at my hair and we discussed options for repair and recovery. She really listened to what I wanted and gave me hope that we could get my hair back to a healthy place. I entered the salon that day with a awful head of hair and came out with a beautiful cut and color. I have never been happier! Thank you Jaci and Spa Venessa for amazing customer service! I will be a customer for life.

I feel so relaxed the minute I walk through the door at Salon & Spa Vanessa. My last visit I had my eyebrows waxed. I almost fell asleep. Who knew having your eyebrows waxed was so relaxing. I then had my hair colored and the massage when they wash your hair is amazing, absolutely amazing. Then on to my haircut. I never had a complement on my hair until Ashley Henson started doing my hair. I love what she does to my hair. I cant believe myself how good it looks, how healthy it looks. I love the homey feeling of the salon. Everyone is so kind and so friendly. I look so forward to my next appointment. Thank you all at Salon & Spa Venessa!

I have worked with Bethany and she did an /excellent/ job styling my hard to manage not curly-not straight-completely frizzy hair. Not to mention the beautiful job she did with my high/low lights that looked exceptionally natural when she was through - exactly what I asked for! The Aveda curly products are excellent. Definitely worth the slightly higher price point. And the salon itself is an experience. Inside of a converted home on Woodstock square, you feel pampered with the entire experience from the first offer of tea or coffee to your complimentary hand massage or makeup touchup service at the end of your visit.

My cut and color from Dawn was exceptional, the color was especially good. Very natural looking highlights and added in some low lights to blend. Great job. The salon is in a lovely old house on main st. in woodstock. It was nice but a little tight in the hall because that is where clients also waited. I had no wait. My stylist was ready forme right I changed. She did give me time to get a cup of comfort tea to sip while my color processed. I really liked the separate color processing room filled with magazines and a large glass table. Overall, a great experience at an Aveda salon. I have found my new salon.
