Normally, I would rate this place 5/5 but because of my recent experience I wish I could give it 0/5 stars. SANDY the Manager is EXTREMELY rude and condescending. I terminated my membership May 2nd of this year because I am moving. I bought an LT BUCKS certificate prior to termination. I called the front desk to make sure I can use my certificate after termination, the front desk employee said he would speak to his supervisor, (and it was my mistake not to get the employees name down who I spoke with but I didnt know it would turn into such a big deal) but he had told me that lifespa is open to everyone and as long as I use my certificate before the expiration date, it would be fine. So I went ahead and made an appointment. When I went to ring up, they couldnt find my certificate and they went to ask Sandy about it. She came up to me and asked me about my situation, immediately with an argumentative tone. She first said, "well Im the manager and I would have NEVER told him that." Right when she heard that I terminated my membership her tone and behavior changed to the worse. She asked in a rude tone, "well WHY did you terminate your membership?" I explained to her that I was moving. Im not sure why it mattered anyways? She proceeded to say, "LT bucks are member-only privileges, it says on the certificate doesnt it (Which it does not)? And youre not a member so youre going to have to pay for your services today, and if youre not happy with that you can call corporate." I was taken back that she immediately brought up corporate. I explained to her that I called to make sure I could make an appointment and was provided with false information. Obviously, I would have never made an appointment if I was not able to use the certificate. She didnt even apologize for her employee falsifying information - she walked off and grabbed corporates card. I had tears in my eyes from the frustration. The front desk staff even apologized for her and gave me an employee discount. A good manager would have taken responsibility for their employee giving out false information and not been argumentative with a customer, especially one who was just trying to explain her situation. Dont be in customer service if you hate your job. This is the literally the worst customer service situation I have ever been in. I will not be recommending this location to anyone. I am a healthcare employee ( originally part of their cadence health/northwestern agreement), and I have never been disrespected like this in my life. I have filed a complaint with corporate. I dont even care about the money at this point, it was the way I was treated, and I hope no one ever is treated this way by her again.

I just recently visited and signed up for Lifetime Fitness. After reading the reviews I was alittle skeptical about going in however let me tell you about my experience and what I witnessed about Lifetime. The staff is extremely friendly, helpful. Have you ever walked into a place and you could tell that people just didnt like their job? Lifetimes team is always smiling, happy, open. They make you feel very welcome and are happy to see you. You can tell this team works together and they LOVE their job! I dont think since I have joined Lifetime that I hav ever walked out with out a "Have a nice day"! I also found the club very clean. I did visit all the listed areas in the reviews and found them in good, clean condition. Ive been to several health clubs, centers and workout places over the last 20 or plus years and I will say that I was completely impressed by the whole experience! I havent taken the classes YET but, again, I peaked in and found people laughing, and really getting down in a ZUMBA class and I could tell that it didnt matter what level you were at, everyone was having a good time. So in closing I will say that I dont always rely on the reviews however, I am a big fan of reading them. I am one who shops around, compares prices, services, support and staff and I give Lifetime Fitness my best review and if your reading this I hope this will help you decide. To me, Lifetime is like the Mall, its got everything you want you just have to get there!!!

Steve Gabriel has spoiled me for any other trainer! Ive worked with trainers before, but never have had anyone as knowledgeable and wonderful to work with than Steve. He has a huge following and I am proud to be part of that group. Steve is incredibly knowledgeable about the human body, as trainers should be (but arent always). The best part is, as he is training a client, he shares that knowledge with them. Understanding WHY you need to do something is as important, if not more so, than understanding that you need to do something. He is very helpful with nutrition and supplements as well. Steve is great at holding clients accountable, helping clients to hold themselves accountable and setting you up for long term success. He is all about making healthy life changes rather than going on a diet or a program for a while. His workouts are all customized to the individual - - no cookie cutter workouts here! One great bonus...he had worked with my 9 year old daughter over the past three years to help her with physical issues related to mental illness. He can help any client of any age and in any shape. He is truly a trainer that you will want to have and keep forever!

It’s a pleasure to write a few words about Steve as a personal trainer. I started training with him more than a year ago and it’s been a truly life changing experience. He not only helped me achieve the best shape of my life but also equipped me to do work outs on my own which is a huge confidence booster when you are on your own. He has a simple and very convincing approach towards getting the best out of his clients. He is also very knowledgeable and believes in educating his clients. We focused on a mix of structural and functional training with emphasis on building overall strength and it has made huge difference in my fitness level. The best part about training with Steve is, he is very serious about your goals and really pushes you to your limits. Steve has got vast experience in his field and the transformation I have seen in my fitness and overall health speaks for it. He is also the funniest trainer I have worked with. Training with Steve is undoubtedly one of the best investments I have made and I highly recommend training with him.

Been a member at this club since they opened in 2001. This gym increases rates every year and are not loyal to their members. The most expensive gym in the area if not the most overall. Management will justify the increase by telling you a "new" membership would be $74.99 per month so you are saving xx amount of dollars. What they dont tell you is the new membership rate also gets increased every couple of year or so. I watched a lot my close friends leave the club for this one reason. More are leaving to this day. Only reason Im still at this gym is in part that my company pays for most of my membership. LTF management took out numerous great leg presses and other workout machines to fit their Crossfit equipment. The rumor was management was trying to push their trainers to train new members their Crossfit regimen. The honest truth is, this gym only cares about making money and care less about your health. There are many alternative gyms that charge a great deal less monthly that would provides most if not all heath club amenities.
