My fiance and I ordered from Rainbow Garden after a beautiful menu was mailed to us and I read some good reviews here on google. Dont be fooled by that pretty little menu! We ordered about $40 worth of food - pot stickers, crispy pork in brown sauce, orange beef, and the singapore style rice noodles, along with fried rice. Each dish was more bland than the last. Little to no flavour in each bite, and the flavour that we tasted was not pleasant. The "crispy" pork was so soggy it reminded me of wet bread surrounding tough meat. The orange beef had the most flavour of the 4 dishes, but it was soggier than the pork. I have never in my life had chinese food that I did not like until ordering Rainbow Garden. It was so unpleasant that I couldnt even eat it. Huge waste of $40. If you want to try this place - opt for the cheap lunch menu so you dont waste quite as much money as I did. Beware - the menu specifically states "No Refunds." This sounded a little strange when we read it - now we know why!

I went here on a tuesday afternoon at about 5PM. I was the only one in the restaurant, and there was only one hostess that had to juggle answering the phone, serving me, and helping people picking up take out orders. It went smooth enough though, and my order came fast, within minutes. I ordered the chicken with green beans, one of my favorite chinese dishes back home, and its hard to believe Im saying this, but the dish was completely tasteless. In fact, the only thing I could taste was the oil, and oil does not taste too good... The dish just seemed to be poorly cut chicken and old green beans tossed in some cooking oil and sitr fried. There was a little soy sauce, but it did nothing to add to the flavor, and only added to the color. All and all, the place is nice inside, and for only one waiter, the service was good. Unfortunately, the food had absolutely no taste and I will not be going here again. I could have done better at home and I never cooked chinese food before...

The most rude service I have ever experienced. I just had lunch here and I had the rudest server ever. He was extremely impatient, rushed, never smiled, and seemed like all he wanted to do was not be there and not serve us. I had ordered cashew chicken (which the chicken was rubbery and very mediocre), and nowhere on the menu did it say that it came with vegetables. When my plate arrived, there were vegetables on it which included zucchini, which I am extremely allergic to. I politely told him that I am allergic to zucchini and didnt realize the dish came with it, and he scowled at me and told me that I should have told him before I ordered and was extremely upset with me and acted like this was the biggest inconvenience in the world to him. I explained that the menu did not state that the dish came with vegetables otherwise I would have told him. Absolutely ridiculous and uncalled for. They will never get my business again.

I have to admit Ive only gone in this place twice, but I have ordered take-out from them a number of times, as well as from other restaurants in the area. Their selection is wonderful in some areas and lacking in others, but the quality of their food as a whole is much better than almost every other delivery service Ive used. Granted, their staff could use a better understanding of English, but I run into this problem with pretty much every international-type restaurant I encounter. Also, they do sometimes get lost, but theyll call you if this happens. Overall, Id recommend this place to anyone in the area wanting quality take-out, but if youre wanting to have a sit-down meal there are much better menus in the area to choose from that also have a more appreciable atmosphere and more understandable employees.

I ordered delivery and got it SUPER fast, except for the food was COLD. Still, its easy to zap in the microwave and the delivery guy was really friendly and cautious to make sure the handles wouldnt fall off the bag. Im an EXTREMELY picky eater (especially when it comes to my general tsos)... this wasnt THE best chinese Ive ever had, but it was definately high up there. I will order from them again and do recommend it! Also, they actually give you a good amount of food! Most places give like 25% of what you actually order and 75% white rice, but the Rainbow Garden actually give a TON of meat! Definately worth the money!

Its fine, not bad and not good. Everything was just a little under seasoned. The steamed dumplings were hand made which I really appreciated but the pork was pretty bland. The BBQ pork Lo mein was good, the pork was the best part of it, but the noodles were not chewy. General tsos was great flavor wise but it was soft and not crispy. The beef with black pepper was pretty good, but the sauce didnt have enough of a pepper kick and, again, it was too soft. Decent enough place, and if you like your Chinese food with less aggressive seasoning it might be the place for you.

We visited your Restaurant on Wed. March first at noon. The waiter was very impatient I asked a question and he said Ill be back. Ten minutes later he came back and completed our order. The food was good. After eating my husband gave him a credit card and he brought it back and said he needed another one so we gave him another card. The following Monday {3-6-17} We were notified that our card had been breached at a Walgreens near Chicago for $500.00. This was the only place we used that card during this time frame.

I have eaten here several times. Above average Chinese food with average service. They have daily lunch specials which are fairly good deals for the price. They recently expanded into the building next door and have quite a few large tables for bigger groups. Good atmosphere to socialize and meet friends for a meal. Ive also had delivery and it leaves a little to be desired (but thats to be expected with delivery food). Definitely recommend eating at the restaurant if possible.

I found two hairs in my food and when I called to see what they could do about it (all I was asking for was either new food or my money back) they told me that there was nothing they could do about it. They REFUSED to make it right. I was talking to the owner, who told me to go ahead and call the news companies and tell them but he wasnt going to do anything about it. I understand hair can get in food, HOWEVER, the flat out refusal to make it right is unacceptable.

Came in for take-out lunch. Ordered beef and broccoli lunch special. They wouldnt sub the spring roll for an egg roll, nor would they sub wonton soup for what they offered - even though its all the same price on the menu. Took over 30 minutes for my food after I ordered. My food was lukewarm when I opened it. Had to microwave it. My dish had bamboo in it, which was disgusting. Fried rice was good, which was the only saving grace. Will not return.
