If I could give negative stars for this establishment, I would. I made a reservation on a Saturday night at 4:15, after spending $40 on drinks and bowling two games, we wanted to extend our stay and bowl an additional game. However, after I paid the $8 per game to continue my stay at this establishment (which would incur a higher drink ticket), I was told that I was not allowed to bowl additional games due to incoming reservations. There were at least 15 open lanes (more than enough room to accommodate incoming guests) but we were refunded our games and told that I would throw off the rest of the reservation schedule by bowling one additional game. Being a manager in retail, I can assure you that Bree is in no way a suitable manger for an establishment of this magnitude. She was not empathetic to my situation or the fact that she had ample room to accommodate incoming guests. I expressed my dissatisfaction with our excellent server, James, who should be the face of you business. He was apologetic, sincere, and took the blame for the lack of business fortitude that Bree had expressed. I find myself having a difficult time in recommending, or returning to Pinstripes given the service I encountered. I can say with definite confidence that if I were to return, I would immediately walk out if I were greeted by Bree. Pinstripes- you have some large gaps in your decision making of who is deserving of s promotion within your business model.

I visited the Pinstripes in South Barrington for Tots Playtime. Its only $5 per kid and parents bowl free (M-F from 10am-12pm). Pinstripes definitely isn’t your typical bowling alley. It’s one of the nicest bowling alleys I’ve been to. During Tots Playtime there were plenty of lighter bowling balls to go around. One of my favorite things about bowling at Pinstripes was the ability to add bumpers only to specific bowlers. All that bowling is sure to work up an appetite and the Pinstripes Bistro has delicious food. Again, don’t think “typical bowling alley” food. The food at Pinstripes Bistro is great. My son ordered off the Kids Menu and LOVED the parmesan breadsticks with marinara sauce and I enjoyed a delicious cobb salad. Helpful Tip: If you’re headed to Pinstripes for Tots Playtime, make sure you get there early. Not sure if it’s as crowded every week, but I visited on a Friday during a holiday week and the line was out the door!

Excellent waiting service and food. Dont count on them for anything beyond precisely what they were trained to do. My wife lost her cell phone, we discovered after leaving. We put our heads together to determine where it might have gone and decided it had to be in a certain piece of furniture. I called and told them we lost it there and described precisely where we thought it was. They assured me they would call back and let me know if th eyes found it. They never did. I went and looked myself and found it exactly where we thought it was. THAT WAS AFTER I ASKED THEM TO LOOK BEFORE I WALKED OVER AND DID IT MYSELF! They were just waiting for me to stop talking so they could deliver their canned lost item speech without care for what I said! It took me all of 2 minutes to walk over and flip over a cushion to find it! Their staff is trained to perform, not serve.

I don’t write reviews but yesterday 1/11/15 Sunday (Sunday Brunch Buffet) the experienced here at Pinstripe South Barrington was UNACCEPTABLE. My friends and I made a reservation for 9 people (for our monthly get together). We got there and the table is ready for us. Food was good BUT during the course of our meal (Dessert and coffee) a manager came to our table and he said QUOTE " I dont want to be the guy here but we need the table for the next batch" end Quote" HE KICKED US OUT POINT (this is brunch buffet) OK ..... THERE IS NO LINE BY THE RECEPTION AREA.... A LOT OF EMPTY TABLES BEHIND OUR TABLE AND THE OTHER GROUP OF PEOPLE BESIDE OUR TABLE (WE BOTH CAME IN AT THE SAME TIME) ARE STILL THERE EATING AND RELAXING AND TAKING THERE TIME. figure that out too and WE got KICKED OUT for a BS reason … THIS IS SO RUDE… We will NEVER eat here AGAIN

The wedding reception of Ashley and Jon Elslager was held at Pinstripes of South Barrington. The staff at this venue was the best of any I have ever experienced at any wedding I have ever attended. They were courteous, helpful and considerate the entire night and well beyond as we packed up the items into our cars. The food was excellent and served with enthusiasm and encouragement to have extras if wanted. The area was well lit and provided an abundance of room to play, dance, mingle or relax alongside a raging fire pit. Everyone in attendance had a great time. The bride and groom had nothing to worry about the entire evening. I commend the Staff at Pinstripes for a job well done. I would recommend Pinstripes for your next event and I plan to use this venue in the future if needed. Proud parents of the bride and groom

I really like pinstripes, it is always a very nice place to eat a nice meal, and they manage to include the bocce and bowling in a way that is still very nice and classy. Its close to my parents so we have gone alot, and I always enjoy it. Also I went to the brunch recently, and it was amazing. Normally at brunches I just eat as much smoked salmon as humanly possible but I tried their waffle station and it was incredible, truely incredible. The balsamic cream and strawberry waffle was so good that I forced my mom to taste it, it was too good. Also every other brunch thing, carving stations, shrimp, bacon, ect was very very good too. And getting the normal dinner food pasta Flatbread ect is very good as well. A good place to go with company

No soap or toilet paper in the upstairs ladies restroom at 8 pm. Ordered a drink and never got it. Food was fair. Salad dressing was way too heavy on vinegar. Very thirsty, I asked the bartender for some water as it seemed they had stopped severing drinks at 10pm. After I got my water, then the idiot comes by to ask if I want a drink. Bocce equipment was sticky and icky. After playing one game I desperately wanted to wash my hands. Bowling lanes are fair. Approaches were sticky. These lanes are for families who want to spill drinks and bowl in street shoes. This is not a place for a serious bowler to practice. I dont think they have leagues and probably shouldnt. I would not have a party here nor would I ever come back for any reason.

Standard bowling experience. So if you like bowling like I do, youll have fun. Yet, whatever you do, never never never never, order a cocktail from the bar unless you happen to like being completely ripped off. Ive gotten better mixed drinks at dive bars. Ordered 3 whiskey sours. Plenty of ice and sour, but what can only be considered a thimble-full of whiskey. Also the waitstaff can be a bit overzealous about cleaning up stray glasses. One of my whiskey sours disappeared, and I only managed to get 2 sips out of the thing. Hey, I get that you guys need to make money, but charging $10 for those drinks is robbery. To future customers, just order a beer. P.S. The macaroni and cheese is totally awesome.
