Most importantly, my car got what so far seems to be an excellent wash. Id go back and recommend it over some other car wash places Ive tried in Chicago. Granted I took it in already quite clean, but none of the usual spots that places often miss seemed to be missed, at least in a quick look. They work fast and are mostly friendly. My experience at Elston started out uncomfortably, but it worked out okay in the end. I got there more than 20 minutes before closing, enough time to get a basic wash, but he first guy I asked shouted "CLOSED" at me without even deigning to look in my direction. Then the person I expect is Juan based on other reviews came up and said they were definitely open, and at that point of said I wanted a car wash and it was too awkward to leave, so I stayed. Ten dollars is fair and about average for Chicago, and if you come on the right day or time you can get $2 or $3 off, so theres that (depends on the day and the discount - for men, ladies, or the elderly). Its a nice facility with a nice waiting room. Now, Ive lived in California where they have snacks and bevs while you wait, and the old pot of coffee at Elston wasnt especially appetizing. Its not as big as Windy City in Logan, but its fully indoors, and the waiting situation is much nicer for the winter than a place like Bucktowns Best. I asked about a detail, and learned Id basically need to leave my car for the full day, which isnt ideal, but fair enough because they shampoo the interior and it needs time to dry. Id try Elston for a detail if I were getting one, based on the reviews and the good vibe I eventually got here, and the care that Juan obviously puts into his work.

Went to Elston Hand Car Wash to get 6 month old tar removed from my truck. The tar was all over my truck and had solidified to practically concrete. Juan quoted me at $120 for removal of the tar, waxing of the entire truck, and underbody wash. It took his guys about 7 hours to remove everything and they were even able to buff out a large scratch on the paint. My truck looked incredible when I came to pick it up, they even washed my bed and applied tire shine for free. I asked them to wash the underbody so I could undercoat the frame and I was able to apply coating the same day since they left my frame spotless. For the work Juans guys did I cant believe I wasnt quoted higher. I would recommend Juan and his guys any day.

Although this Carwash in particular from what I hear is one of the best in Chicago, the way the staff is treated is unbelievable. I know a few guys that work/worked here and one thing they all say is the pay is ridiculous. 6/hr??? Really?? No overtime either yet theyre expected to work 6 sometimes 7 days a week putting in at least 60hrs a week. Thats 20 hrs of no overtime. Not only is that illegal, its just wrong. So next time anybody wants to complain about the service or whatever, keep in mind what these guys go thru because apparently the owner can give a rats ass. For this reason is why I will never go here. Somebody should call the Department of Labor and see what can be done about this. If anything can even be done.

Pensando que iba hacer un lugar muy bueno sin duda alguna fue lo peor , ya que habían limpiado mis moquetas pero debajo de ellas no habían aspirado bien , creo que no lo hicieron suficiente , si me preguntan yo la verdad no lo recomiendo hay otros mejores y por menos precio que en total pague 12$ espero que les sirva de ayuda para otros

Been here before. They are way to f en busy to have good customer relations. If you have a black vehicle would you not expect them to use microfiber towels instead of the freakin bath towels to dry ???? They left scratches an swirled all over my newly painted truck hood . . Nobody cared when I mentioned it. No answers after I complained to your no listening ass. You should not be in the car washing business. Have a brand new hood they trucked up. They know who I am. I wish I could give no stars

Elston Hand Carwash LLC is one of the best car washes in the city Ive been too. First of all the service is quick and they do a great job of hand detailing. They made my car look brand new after a car detailing and after a few car washes you get one free. The pricing cant be beat! The owner Juan is very personable and hand on. He cares about the service and quality of his business. Im never going elsewhere again Thank you Elston Hand Carwash!

Didnt like it. Paid $20 and was interested in getting a detail and youd assume they would take care of ya. But the wash as a joke. I paid $20 for the in and out and said they could pass on cleaning the truck. My 2 major things which I told the guy was my wheels which I was going to clan more when I got home and my mats. They did 1 mat and I saw it. Im eally not impressed. The place looks great and was expecting good things. Its to bad!!

Did Not clean the car from the outside properly. Put the soap and literally just wiped it off. You could see streaks from the towels and dirt from Not properly washing it. On top of that the car was wet, open the door and water dripped out. Did Not vacuum. They expect money right away but do not give good service, at the least. The guy at the register needs to learn how to be nicer. Not coming again.

The best!!!!!!! I came here in a pinch after I picked up my car from our buildings garage. It was completely filthy and it looked like the paint was ruined due to construction. The staff was honest and squeezed me for a wax and detail. My car looked brand new!! They are truly miracle workers and very professional. The best in Chicago.

I always get good service here. They do a great job and clean the door jams, the hatchback door and all the places the other guys miss. When I ask then to clean a particular spot on the car they always honor my request with no problems. My car comes out looking great. Super friendly staff. They really care for their customers. A++

I am a regular here. Would recommend to anyone who wants their cars hand washed carefully. Ive been to other hand wash locations in Chicago but this one seems to be the only place that bothers to wipe off the water drops on your rear view mirrors. Nice work!

They work hard to do the job you pay them for. At the end they give you time to look over your car to make sure all the little things you like done are taken care of. Well managed and do a really good job. I dont go anywhere else! !

Excellent! They detailed my old car (it was a mess) and it looked brand new! I also go for the hand washes. They do a great job. Very seldom is there much of a wait. This is my favorite place to go for a hand car wash!
