Great experience! Ein echt amerikanisches Friseurerlebnis. Wer Lust und Zeit hat und in der Gegend ist sollte sich hier die Haare schneiden lassen. Hier warten schon morgens um 9.00am mehr als 10 Mann auf ihren Haarschnitt. Bitte beachten - wer den Laden neu betritt sollte sich auf der Tafel namentlich vermerken bevor er Platz nimmt. Man wird automatisch vom nächsten freien Barber aufgerufen.

Good cut. Good conversation. Reasonable price. Just know this going in....this is TRULY the old-fashioned Italian barber-shop experience. That means, for better and for worse, that nobody is in a hurry to get you in and out of their chair. The plus? A great conversation, and a congenial atmosphere along with your handsome cut. And the banter ranges from the latest in sports to the latest in fashion -- theyll talk anything. The minus? Often a long wait at this popular establishment. No appointments. Probably exactly the way "father" of Father and Sons learned at HIS fathers tutelege (Im just guessing here).

Get your haircut here! These guys are outstanding. I was new to town and my partner introduced me to Father and Son. By my second visit they were calling me by name and getting to know me. If you have to wait, dont worry, its worth it. Just sign up on the board in back. You might get a good cut somewhere else but these guys are what make this place outstanding. Ill never get a haircut anywhere else. Be sure to check out their Facebook page, too! Only drawback is you might wish you had a reason to stay longer in the chair and listen to the banter!

Made my first visit there, and Ill definitely be back! I went in after about 9 months since my last haircut and it was getting really long. Its also been quite a while that Ive also been needing a beard trim. When I got there I wasnt sure how I wanted my hair cut. But Martin went with my minimal request and did a fantastic job with my hair and beard trim. I look much better now than I had imagined before I walked in. The place has a nice vibe to it, and its clean & modern with the barbers stations adding a nice nostalgic feel to the place.

Ive had four haircuts here from three barbers. One was good, one was OK, and two were bad. They have some skilled barbers and some (or at least one) not so skilled barbers - I think they know who among them isnt very good. The unskilled guy doesnt seem so concerned with the quality of his haircuts; he seemed more interested in things going on around him. The wait here is often bad, so I dont want to try my luck to see if I can get a good guy. And I feel like I wasted too much money here to return.

Even though they are a tad more than Supercuts I think its more than worth the money. There were quite a few guys ahead of me when I signed in on the whiteboard but they managed to get through everyone in a timely manner. Long story short is that with little explanation I got the hair cut I wanted and had fun joining in the conversation that was going on at the time. Definitely worth a try and I will be going back when the time comes.

Haircut is subpar for what it costs, better off going to a supercuts or some chain and saving the money. My barber didnt know how to handle longer hair that well, gave a very poor undercut. If you dont like your hair longer than 2 inches youll probably be fine here, but for actual styling of longer hair go somewhere else. Also cash only, which should be noted on the website. Nice enough people, but I wouldnt return here.

I finally found the solid barber on the Northside of Chicago I have been looking for. They do a nice clean cut. The guys are fun, and easy to talk to. The best part is you can walk out the door for 20 bucks. Only drawback is they only take cash, but this is a minor point since there is a bank down the street. Overall, worth checking out, even if it is out of the way.

Best barbershop I have ever been too. I spent a whole lot of time looking for a great shop where I can go and take my kids too. I found Father and Son and have never stopped going there. Great group of guys that are friendly and kind. My son used to freak out during hair cuts but Pete was very calm and now he loves going there. They are all great barbers.

Had my hair cut by the middle eastern guy. If you want a quick cut, hes your guy but dont expect it to be a quality cut. Raced the clippers across my head the entire time. No attention to detail. In 10 min, my hairline aged by 30 yrs. What was also was clear was that he doesnt knw how to cut black peoples hair. Overpriced as well.

Amazing place! So happy I found you guys. Professional, friendly, urban, fancy and funny employee. I feel I can go there just to hang out with them. Today I told my hair cutter he can do whatever he wants with my hair. I trust them and their judgment :) At the end I was 101% satisfied with my haircut. Well done guys!

This place is a comedy club masquerading as an elite barber shop. The guys working here will have you wishing your haircut is never complete just so you can keep listening to their hilarious friendly banter. The spot on haircut is just an extra little treat when you leave. Do yourself a favor and try this place out.

The best barbershop in Chicago! Tip: When you walk in - head to the back of the shop and add your name to the whiteboard. If you have a request for a specific barber, put their name in (name) next to yours. If you leave it blank, youll get the next open barber (all of them are great).

I love this barber shop. All barbers are very friendly and do a great job. Saturday mornings are tough if you get there too much after opening because there can be about an hour wait. Prices and service are great. Gay-friendly and family-friendly.

My family has been coming here 20 years, beginning when it was on Thorndale. Pete is like family. Today is my first time to get in the chair!!!! Mitch did an amazing job on my beard. I got new glasses and getting compliments on beard and glasses.

They had multiple barbers working and the line moved quickly. Its a comfortable place to wait and they did a great job with my haircut. They are a little more expensive than some of the other shops Ive been to but I think it was worth it.

The guys at Father and Son always deliver a great haircut. Neighborhood parking or paid street parking is always easy. If there is a short wait they have plenty of magazines and a flat panel TV to keep you entertained.

Good people, cut wasnt bad. However I have long hair and I could tell no one there wanted to be the one to take me as a client. Wont go back. Dont go here if you have long hair, unless you plan on getting rid of it.
