Ive never experienced such poor customer service in my life. I wont even describe the Saga that was involved but at the end of the week a very important package still was not delivered. My son spending days at his apt.waiting for it. Everyday we got electronic updates saying that the driver had tried to deliver the package but no one was home at the address. Complete baloney. My son waited there for two days. On the third day my son left a note to the driver providing my sons cellphone number so he could call up to the apartment. The driver ignored it. I finally called UPS National customer service. They relayed a message to the Jefferson Street office apparently. At that point I received a call from a very unhelpful woman. I was very patient and calm explaining to her the situation, and how important it was that he get the package, and asking her if they would please hold it at the Jefferson St UPS Center. She wound up chastising me - literally yelling at me! - for wasting her time and the drivers time. Unbelievable. My son ended up having to take a cab down to the Jefferson Street office at night to pick up the item. They were so rude to him that he lost his temper and almost got thrown out. I used to have such high regard for UPS. I dont know whats happening to this company but from what I understand from people I know who work at UPS and from my personal experience with the company where I live, they are in serious trouble. I dont even know why Im wasting time posting this review but maybe someone at the national office will start to read these complaints and take control of the situation there in Chicago (and here in my hometown) But Im not holding my breath.

Currently sitting in the pick up center on a Saturday moving on to hour 2 of waiting. There is no semblance of organization here and I feel that Im trapped in the movie Saw. A few highlights: 1. No instructions for people attempting to claim their packages. Since Ive been here, I have been the most helpful person in the building for people arriving looking for their packages. No signs or employees to provide any direction. 2. It smells bad. 3. No suggestion of wait time was provided after submitting the mystery form to claim my package. Other by-standards suggested that it could take anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours, but employees offered no suggestions. 4. The logistics involved in claiming a package seem as if theyre out of the 19th century. Fill in a form with information on your package, including the tracking number; submit (hand over) said paper form to employee; employee passes paper back to package runner; package runner disappears into warehouse with stack of papers and never returns. Please be better at logistics. Please. Like use some type of automated tracking system or something to make this process better. Anything. UPS: if youd like to contact me to discuss further, Im probably still waiting for my package, so come on over and we can chat.

Terrible experience just like everyone else. UPS was unable to deliver a package to my apartment complex because they couldnt get passed the front gate. I got a post card in the mail saying they would hold my package at the local shipping facility until Wednesday. (no complaints yet) When I arrived on Wednesday to pick up my package they told me they had returned it on Tuesday. Apparently they only hold packages for 5 business days and counted Monday (memorial day) as a business day. Despite the fact that the postcard they printed up said I had until Wednesday. They gave me the wrong information and all they could say repeatedly was "You are a day late and a dollar short." When I filed a complaint with UPS central, they said I would receive a phone call and an apology. When I got my "apology" call, all they said again was, "you are a day late and a dollar short" TL;DR UPS has terrible service and I try to avoid any companies that use them when ordering products online.

They dont even try to not suck if it was me paying for all the shipments I would rather use FEDEX or USPS and USPS sucks too. My package was undeliverable for 3 weeks how is that possible. If the address was wrong they could have return it to me the shipper but no apparently it could not be return to the shipper either. Even though we ship packages daily and have had an account with them for years they could not find my address in their system. I spoke to a bunch of dumb asses on the phone after putting me on hold for hours they said they were gonna return it but guess what? they sent it to the companys old address how is that even possible. Before hanging up I confirmed like 10 times the actual address with one of their employees and still they failed. How can you not even drop off the package to the right address. They are on a different level of incompetence that not even USPS can go that far.

Dont let these other reviews fool you, UPS service in Chicago is even worse than they state up above. UPS driver comes to my house today to deliver 2 packages, one requiring a signature the other did not, and actually leaves the one package and doesnt bother knocking to deliver the other! I even left the SIGNED UPS slip on the door with a note on the front saying that I was home and for them to knock hard so he couldve even just taken the signed slip if he really wanted. Left the "Attempted Delivery" slip on the first package so he could pretend he didnt see the note on the door. Im cancelling Amazon Prime for as long as I live in Chicago because there isnt a point. UPS will get it to me after a week or two and USPS MIGHT get it to me eventually... if they feel like it. I cant believe I can honestly say this but Id rather pay sales tax then contribute another penny to UPS scam operation.

i rarely write reviews due to my own laziness, but i have to write an honest review today. 1. i brought a package to return to amazon prepaid label, just wanted to drop off to ups. how easy was that ? 2. i finally saw a customer service after near 10 mins of waiting, it is ok, i m patient. 3. she told me shipping closed today on saturday. i responded that i just simply wanted to drop off my package with prepaid ready. 4. she was like she you should come back next week. how ridiculous was that? 5. she just somehow asked me to leave the package, with attitude. it is ok, my return item was only $20. My conclusion, ups and every usa company should stop hiring those uneducated idiots, look at how ineffectient this country is now. and usa government must stop leeching our real tax paying citizens to feed those Parasites in the nation, or we will soon become and next Greece.

Ive been holding on for a year now, hoping things will change. UPSs service is just been deteriorating. The automated system had on multiple occasions took down the wrong number and hence Ill go several hours without any update. Ive had packages that had status of delivered and yet itll come 2 days later. If anyone at UPS is listening, its getting really bad. Whatever changes you had made, its quite obvious its to cut cost. You seem to have automated several features, namely the 1-800 number, and its not working. I feel its just made things so much worse. The worse feeling for a customer is to not know the status of their packages and the past year, with UPS, its just been a waiting game. Please reevaluate your procedures.
