We had great service for 2 years with very few problems until recently. A few weeks ago, a load with about $1,500 in clothes was either stolen or lost, which the owners refuse to acknowledge. The load had all of our very nice tailored pants and shirts. Here is what happened: My wife had gone to drop off drapes for same-day cleaning and the owners pulled a large load for her, which she said she would pick up in a few hours when she returned for the drapes (and when I would be there to carry the heavy load). When we returned together later in the day, the owners could not find the clothes they had pulled and we all searched the entire shop together without success. The owners agreed to look elsewhere and to call other customers who picked up clothes that day to see if somebody had mistakenly taken / been given our load. When we returned the following week, Vogue had not found our clothes. We asked if they called all the other customers - the husband said yes and the wife said no, so someone was lying. Then they insisted that my wife had actually picked up the clothes the morning she dropped off the drapes and that someone must have stolen them from her car. They refused to believe that an employee, customer or someone off the street could have taken or stolen the clothes because "we never have any problem." It is unfortunate that after 2 years and a few thousand dollars in business that Vogue could not come to a mutually agreeable solution to a problem they were responsible for.

I took a pair of nice pants in to be shortened, and they managed to mess that up - the pants were significantly longer than we had agreed upon (I was still stepping on them). Also didnt offer me a receipt and were slow to service, not very friendly. If you can manage a trip downtown, I highly recommend Marias Alterations at 11 E Adams Street; they do excellent work, have lower prices ($3 to have pants shortened instead of $10), and are super friendly and helpful. I wont be going to Vogue Cleaners again.

These people do excellent work. Dry cleaned stuff comes back without chemical smell, and fine woolens are supple and soft. Shirt service is very good, too. They also amazingly learned my name and all my familys names after wed been there twice. I walked in, they say hello by my name, and got my stuff before I took the receipt out of my pocket - commenting that my son had been in earlier to get his shirts.

I left two small rugs to be cleaned. When I picked them up a week after they said they would be ready, they were as dirty if not dirtier than when I dropped them off and they charged me $78.00! Oh no, never again.

The absolute best cleaners do a real professional job not like some other cleaners that do a poor job.
