Ive been coming to merlins for years, they treat us the best, give prices up front, do a great service and biggest of all, provide GREAT customer service! They greet you as you enter! They smile at you! Theyre sympathetic, energetic and actually want to help you. Ive made some mistakes in the past and have gone to other places like Auto Zone in Huntley just because it was closer/convenient only to get burned on a terrible repair, high prices and people whom seemed to not give a damn. ONLY GO TO MERLINS!

Disappointing. I ventured out of my box to give them a try. Quoted me over a hundred dollars the necessary cost to have my car repaired. Went to Midas where i was quoted earnestly and received the treatment I feel every customer deserves. Its sad really, Im one of those forever customers. My mechanic was just out of town and i needed my car fixed right away. So they would have had a continuous returning customer after that. Will never go back.

The people here are nice and informative, but in my case they were highly over priced. I paid $100 for an evaluation which is fine, but then was quoted for a fuel filler assembly at $450. I called around to other legitimate shops and most quoted me at $100 to $200 less even at my car dealer. Do yourself a favor and do your due diligence when choosing your next auto repair. Its not much work to make a few phone calls once you have your evaluation.

I just want to say that the team at Merlins of crystal lake is great. My experience was far above my expectations. The management team that I got to interact with were very knowledgeable. I had an issue with my brakes and they fixed them in a timely manner. Very professional and will be telling my friends and family.

Stay away. Especially if you are female or someone they perceive has money to waste. Was quoted for close to $1400 in repairs that 2 other mechanics told me were not needed. Had the work done on my car somewhere else and drives like never before with only half the work done it that was quoted by Merlin-Crystal Lake.

Both Jeff and Nick were extremely professional and very helpful in repairing our vehicle so it was safe for our daughter to drive it back to college. They found and fixed a repair gone bad, that was done at another shop just 2 weeks earlier. We found our new auto shop and intend to use them for years to come.

Quoted $140 for brake job. Got it up on the rack then said it was $300+ for the exact service they quoted. Blamed it on the "new guy". Two kids in tow so I paid and left. Now brakes are noisier and more vibration than before. Never again.
